Going off of Henri's idea a bit. And since we know the Devs will want to make him special....
Sorry for the super low-res. I'm on work comp and I almost over heated it just getting the pics of the costume pieces I used to photoshop him together.
I didn't want to go tech with him because that's not where he gets his powers. I felt he just needed an update as opposed to a full on "hero" costume. I personally wish we had acces to his boots in game but Resistance ones work too. I also think the fire arm should have a fire aura but on this comp there is NO WAY I could photoshop that. Also I think it's possible to reuse his current chest emblem, we just don't have access to it so I made my own with a combo of two ingame emblems. -

Wish I was home right now! I just came up with a couple ideas for Scorpio....
-
Okay I think I'd like to give this a go. Once I get home and get on a decent computer I'll see what Zodiac I can make sense of. Though Pisces or Capricorn are my initial thoughts...

I feel bad that the poor guy worked out so much and this costume covers up all his hard work. Just kidding. I think the costume looks great, I think it has a good feel for the period and yet could stand the test of time in regards to bringing him into the present. I know the costume got much grief when it first came out but I think as an alternative to the strictly spandex it was a perfect change. Spandex just doesn't read well on camera unless you're Spiderman or Superman and even those are pushing it. I think Cap is probably one the best hero to make these type of adjustments to in order to appeal to the widest audience.
Chris Evans was my only likeable part about The Losers. If he hadn't been in it I doubt I'd have enjoyed it as much as I did. I don't want the campiness he usually brings with Cap, but I really think from interviews he gets what Cap needs. It's almost as good a match as Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool. I don't think I could have picked a more appropriate person for either. -
Really digging the Wamma Jamma pieces! Very nice!
I like the last piece as well - vavavoom! The woman is like an elf version of Jessica Rabbit! -
That's an interesting angle Foo! The only thing I see odd is she has a bit of giraffe neck going on and she's wearing fuzzy slippers.
Also, I didn't comment on Thunder Woman because I just can't come up with anything other than "cool" that would keep me from being Mod Smacked. -
Glad you two are still around! I like this piece and the final colored piece a lot! good stuffs!
-
Swanzy's colors are always amazing and this time is no different! I love how he takes the artist lines and is able to enhance them with his color without distracting from them. Plus it's also the little touches that he adds that really effects the look of his work. Check out the brickwork in the buildings in the background, the diffused lighting from the street through the smoke/smog, and his ability to add a ton of depth. His grasp of color is really awe inspiring! He is who inspired me to work on coloring in my spare time (I'm sure I'll NEVER be anywhere as close to this good but I still try). I think if your work can inspire others to action, that says book-loads about your talent!
Gratz on ANOTHER great piece in your collection Caem! -
Another great pic Foo!
Okay I have to ask and I'm sure it's been asked before but is that you in your avatar? Even if you say no I'm going to pretend it is because for whatever reason it cracks me up. I keep wondering what the HECK is he looking at?!?!?! -
Quote:One time... yeah. But we've gotten a few of them. Sometimes unintentionally.
I was going to say this because originally my Global was @Powerstream and I changed it to @PowerStream. Now I still have the option to change it because I was hoping to change to @Bully since that's what basically everyone in game knows me as. No luck though even though @Bully hasn't been around since 2006.... -

Quote:I had a problem with him not being noticed too. He was such a big "name" in the news that his wife couldn't get a job, however many days it was after?I don't think this is a Clark Kent/Superman situation. Someone would have to be really famous to be noticed by most people and Vince Faraday is just that dirty cop who got killed, a news story of interest for a few days. I doubt very many people paid that much attention to his photo. There have been enough cases of criminals' faces being plastered all over TV and newspapers as they make their way from town to town without a single person recognizing them to get me to believe few people would recognize this guy.
On that show "Undercover Boss" CEOs grow some stubble, put on baseball caps and work alongside their employees and only two times has any of them been recognized. Heck, Leno does that "Jaywalking" bit where he shows photos of famous people to random folks on the street and plenty have no idea who's in the picture. So I can see a guy like Vince escaping scrutiny.
Also the problem with "Undercover Boss" is that most people don't know what the CEO of their company looks like anyway, so add some stuble and a cap to him/her and they still don't know what he/she looks like. With "Jaywalking" they don't show you the numerous people that know the people in the images. So not great comparisons. BUT I get your point, because it's how armed robbers and murderers walk the street everyday even though America's Most Wanted has been on for years. Most people just don't care enough to be bothered paying attention.
Quote:I have to say that this show was a lot better than I thought it was going to be.
Yes there were plot holes, but just about every TV show and movie has those.
Yes due to it being 2 episodes instead of really 1 2 hour pilot the pacing felt a bit weird, especially the switch between the 2 episodes.
But the idea of showing him as being falible, I love. you get to watch him learn as he goes. He makes mistakes, he can be killed.
The problems people have with Orwell, I have to disagree with. Orwell is known as an internet persona, with a modulated voice. Outside of vince, we see noone else who knows who Orwell is. I also noticed her mercedes didn't seem to have a license plate. Now add on that we don't know where her money comes from, havign a car like that could be just fine.
As with the start of any series, there are going to be bumps in the road, but what I saw shows a nice show that doesn't take itself too seriously, but is designed to have fun, and be fun to watch. It will be DVRd by me every week.
Orwell's car did have a liscense plate on it when she dropped off the Cape and she was backing up to get out of there. But only on the back. It's just something I tend to pay attention to for some reason.
Also she drove two cars. The first was a blue Lotus Elise(at least it looked like it) when she first met the Cape. Then she changed to the Mercedes when she almost ran over the Cape.
Speaking of - the dude dropped how many stories and was saved by two seconds of letting his cape slow him down? Also, how did the Tower get down there so fast? He didn't have a cape!!!
I will probably watch this show but I will have to turn my thinking brain off and turn my "it's a comic book show" brain on.The interactions between Scales and Rollo will have me in stitches for a while anyway.

PowerStream was my first toon...
This was his first costume - minus the cape of course:
He was as short as you could make a huge toon. He was from the future and was Russian. I had an idea to base him on Puck from Marvel for some reason except as an energy/energy blaster...
This is his latest incarnation (partly thanks to Zynrgy for his photoshop redesign):
The original still exists as I can't delete him, but this is the latest version on a new server and he is fire/dark corruptor. He is now a normal sized guy inside of a suit and is Praetorian. -
Not really. A lot of it is going to depend on the maturity of your daughter and your relationship with her. My son is 13 and we've talked about everything he sees for as long as he's been able to talk. I am pretty confident I know what he can and can't handle at this point.
The other thing is to think back when you were 7 (if you're like me that was a long time ago) and ask yourself would you have gotten Scott Pilgrim? Now increase that by a year or two because I think kids are more advanced earlier than we were as kids (I'm only 34 btw).
Good luck! I'm so glad I never had a daughter though! lol -
I like the cat girl archer. It conveys movement very well to me. I can picture her jumping back from a fireball or energy blast as she's unleashing fletched fury. I love your sketch-a-days Foo!

Doesn't he use that Lumberjack dude?
Happy Birthday Jay... Now get to making more clockwork chestpiece type parts! Please and Thank You! -
Quote:My first car was a '71 Mach 1 with a 351C Cobra Jet. I had to rebuild the engine before I could drive it. Then my dad borrowed it and the lower A frame broke and he crashed on the highway at 70mph. Then I bought a '69 Mustang a few years later. I've regretted selling that car ever since. My dream car is a '69 Mustang Boss 429.Cheers PS, I do love the AC, amongst many others... hmm, maybe British Hero could be a car collector, then i can draw all my favourites with him, yay, '73 Mustang Mach 1, here we come!! And glad you like the toon too, painting him has inspired me to play him a bit more
What tablet did you end up getting? I bought Jr. one last year but just the cheap Wacom. His problem is that it's pretty small and he has a problem with the disconnect between hand and screen. Was wondering if I should get him a larger tablet.
Anyway great job again! -
Awesome work Henri! I like the light flares from the street lamp and the headlights. Also I really like that toon, he has a cool Rocketeer look to him. Of course the car is amazing! I named my son after that car.

You should post this pic in all the "Trapdoor is Impossible to Defeat" threads... Really give them some coal for the fire!

And his butt looks good in Lee jeans.... So he tells me....

As has been pointed out that's a pretty old vid. I mean there were only 1 - 2 mobs for each group there. BUAHAHA The vid Master Zaprobro is a better example but I've seen electric/shield scrappers do WAY better than that.
I think it is going to depend on if you want to see tons of flying orange numbers or a couple mobs with big orange numbers. I currently run a spines/dark scrapper that took me a long while to get him where I like him and now he's what I would consider awesome. Granted someone else would laugh and say I'm slow.
Also for some orange number madness try a fire/dark corruptor. I love the orange cloud of doom they put out. But they can have quite a few faceplants as well. So for survivabilty and damage output I'd go scrapper or brute no doubt. Probably electric shield or spines/fire or dark. electric/shield will be quick up front damage and spines/anything will be a bit slower damage over time tye damage.
Welcome back to the game and best of luck!
Fire/fire blasters are the epitome of blaster AOE damage but with not so great survivabilty. Heck if you go by my track record with one, NO survivability. LOL But I don't min-max either. I think for every 10 mobs I kill I die at least once. But I play my blaster like a tank, so no one to blame but myself.
As for the single target big orange numbers... I can't help ya. Single target bores me. If I am solo it's easier to take but when on a team I usually feel slow and useless. So I don't have too many single target toons. Though most ATs include SOME type of AOE, if it's not more than two or three it's not enough for me.
