    A CoH cleric?

    So they reversed their reversing.

If you didn't read the whole above post, the next to last paragraph sums it up.
  2. I may be wrong, but, unless you have an aversion to Praetoria or the Isles, an electric^2 dominator is the best blapper.

Oh, and Bill, I've got an electric^2 baster I've had do nothing but marketing for over a year, a level 22, and having an all electric team would be just the thing for me to get playing him again. My toon is on Freedom, so that may not work out, but when and where do they meet? If it's a regular thing, and open to others.

Bearing in mind that concept causes compromise
    • The glowing hands. Not really good concept.
    • You lose out on damage potential not using fire ammo.
    • (correction to Winterminal) Redraw takes no time, but yeah, the flashiness of it all.
But, it is the closest you'll get, yeah.

To keep from starting it over. But if there's not a good exit w/o quitting, then I'd need to keep redoing it.

If flying an extra 1000 feet is quicker than interacting with terminals, etc, I'll take the extra distance.
  5. I've got it in my fire/rad controller's choking cloud and honestly don't think it makes any difference because everything's dead too quickly.

Unless you're a weak scrapper with RttC, you're not going to have that many guys around you for that long. Sure, it'll proc every 10 seconds...on one of the guys around you, not necessarily a boss.

    For AV hunting, sure.

I say sell. Better to throw even a common Acc or End IO in there, or use the slot somewhere else.

(Anyone got math to (dis)prove this feeling of mine?)
  6. IIRC, two level 28 IO doubles = two level 50 common IOs. So, sucks depending on what you're really looking for.

I run two holds, which I have held Rommy, BM, etc with Basilisks from the teens. Garbage in the SG bins for over a year.

  8. Good run despite some ridiculous lag on my part. (Though that did come in handy when I rounded a corner to be in the middle of a mass of Nemesis, but, actually, I hadn't since I was actually 2 seconds behind.) Luna's leadership was great and the final boss was a wimp.

That said, I'm not doing any more crap in the Shard. Geez, I hate the Shadow Shart. I'll run a TF there once and only once per toon. Damn place needs a train or ferries or something.

But, yeah, great run. I need to get me some Judgement power after seeing, I'm not sure who, using it.
  9. I'd like to get Saltier, fire/ice blaster, in on this.

And I swear-swear-swear I'll play conservatively and not screw things up. Without my Warburg phaseshift I'll have to.
  10. Soul Stormer, ah, yes, duh on my part. Though Radial seems to have lots more stuff, it's just not stuff I need.

I couldn't do musculature. I always max my damage in my build but get my rech up with bonuses. In fact, knowing I was doing Spiritual I intentionally kept all my rech under 80%
  11. Put a dude in the Market near the big building in Pratoria and my powers are supressed.

The university seems a tad far away, but I'll cope. Being in Praetoria is kinda neat. And even though he's only a level 22, he can kick anyone there's rear (or so it seemed on his stroll from the Studio 55 to the market).
  12. What? My whole purpose for sending my main marketer there was to escape the freakin quills.
  13. What I'm debating with myself is whether to go with Core Paragon or Radial Paragon.

My setup on a fire/ice/fire blaster is all the normal powers, slotted for rech bonus, taking the first three stealth for LotG+7.5 mules along with CJ and Hover, but keeping the recharge on most attack powers under 80%.

Core Paragon gives me 45% rech and 33% heal with 2/3 exempt from ED, and some other crap. Radial Paragon gives me only 33% but on rech, heal, jump, and some crap, And 20% on ToHit.

Besides Build Up and Aim, I don't have any ToHit powers. I've got plenty of endurance, and use that temp power when I start struggling during sustained buzzsawing, so I might take Tactics...???

    Thoughts? Any input is welcome.
  14. I thought I'd ask here since we know how Freedom server is and I didn't feel like hearing some guy from Liberty tell me it's easy to team anywhere blah blah blah.

What's the population like in our Praetoria?

I'm thinking of rolling a Pratorian Dominator but am concerned Praetoria's popularity is rather small. I don't have a difficult time in the lower populated Isles, but it sure is easier pugging blueside.
  15. Quick questions
    1. Do the Praetorians have the same market that we Primal Earth people do?
    2. If one of my Primal Earth toons used the Studio 55 door to Praetoria, would they be able to use the market there? Email back crafted items?
As trivial as it sounds, power suppression in the market is the main reason I'm interested.

Do an advanced search for "slug caltrops" in the blaster forum and read-read-read. Take builds and plug them into Mids. And bear in mind, different people have vastly different play styles.

AR/Dev is a common blaster type for concept reasons.

Next week might be Issue 20 chaos so not sure if we'll be running, but I'll at least show up. Hope to see you there!
I got a little disappointed toward the end. At the beginning, those new to the experience were all "ooh, aah" at 6xAM and burninating, but then they started ghosting the missions as three or four of us Frads fought a few groups before the mission was completed.

Granted, I was the one that tped people in to get the final Boss, but by that time I was just going with the flow.

I levelled to 43, which was good.

I'll be there next week. I prefer WST for the double merits, and this next week it's ITF and I've been meaning to memorize those caves.
  18. When I read Musc, short for muscular, I read it as music.

I'm not used to doing a cheap build, at least not this cheap, and so I didn't really know which sets were dirt cheap, so I just looked for sets I don't use or that have horrible bonuses. I did force the Performance Shifter proc on you, as one of them puts out more endurance than stamina itself.

The only slotting here that I use is the cleaving blow and eradication in dragon's tail. Good bonuses, cheap, and gets A/D/R high enough.

If you're doing frankenslotting, you can pick any alpha and build around it. I'd say Spiritual, but the heal would be wasted on a /wp. There's no good fit that doesn't waste something. In musc, I don't see any reason to go beyond MTCR.

(Oh, and get yourself some money, visit The Market forum here. There are some niches that move enh so fast that you can make 100m in a few days. My high score for inf is 5.3b, and I've been coasting ever since.)

  19. And you don't have to spend any time redside, if you don't like their slums or being a villain.
  20. I'd like to bring Saltier, who should be a 50+ fire/ice blaster by then.
  21. I think I slot posi, minus proc, and an acc/rech. And it'll be really hard to slot Thunderstrike in Full Auto. Really hard.

Flamethrower seems like no fun, but the DoT helps. I use Firebreath on my fire/ blaster and it gets some good damage going. But in fire/ the two heavy hitters are blaze and fireball.

I only recently started running Herostats and am amazed at what it shows as far as my good attacks. Sometimes you never realize what's actually doing the most damage, like in my fire/rad controller, what's doing the most damage is "not me."

Make sure to put range, if possible, on your short attacks like buckshot and flamethrower.
  22. This may be your thing, but I'd never play this way. This is an assistance toon. I'd roll a defender if I wanted to heal and buff people.

Buckshot is a core power. If you feel you must be able to stun, you need to take beanbag as well as taser. And while targeting drone and tactics is interesting in a concept way, it's massive overkill unless you're hunting GM/AV. In which case, why do you want to heal and unmez your pals. No one takes the medical pool unless they want aid self.

I've not run Herostats on my AR/Dev but she gets the most milage out of Full Auto and Slug, but Buckshot is serious mitigation with damage. Make sure to get some range on it.

As for worrying about the kb in AR, heck, you picked AR, it's part of the package. Just like if you pick energy/ you accept it.

My style, I need five defense powers for LotG7.5s, which means taking stealth for mules. As for leadership, I'd only take assault. If I took maneuvers, I'd not run it, but just use it for the LotG7.5 and to get to vengeance if I had room. I'm not sure what I do take in /dev anymore. But I don't take trip mine, which I used to think was cool, but the teams I run on eat the enemies too fast to use it ever. I'd slot Winter's Gift -slow in Fly and load Hover with all the def uniques, but remember, unless you're a hoverblaster, none of the +acc, etc, will work. They aren't bonuses, they're power enhancements.

    Ok, that's my ramble.

Edit: and you should take both teir 1 attacks due to defiance.

DataCHUNK, like you see Iggy doing. I can look at stuff in mids at work, but I can't get to cohplanner.com.

(and foolishly they unblocked the coh boards again.)

I looked at it, but it's from a different world than me, as is Iggy's modification of it. [and iggy knows what he's doing]

Here's my Kat/WP who I had lots of fun with but now that she's a 50 and I've got another 50 climbing up the Alpha-ness, she's just parked. This is an as-built, not a plan.

Though you have to kit DA twice, or pop an insp, Trixi is indestructible. And she costs about two cents to make. No real pricey uniques, as a /wp doesn't need them. +25 regen is a joke with RttC running.

But, capping is very cool, as you did, if you're going to solo, etc. But defense debuffs, that's the only thing that'll get you killed. It's the only thing that can kill any kat/wp.
