The steampunk pack has "classic" and "victorian" clothes. And of course you can mix and match.
It's a shame there's no way to choose other hair styles for the goggle hat, but that pretty much goes for every hat in the game (only one hair style with a hat).
Also, steampunk mad science. -
Quote:And tactical training: tactics gives an extra 5 mag confuse/fear protection to you, and everyone remotely near you. Along with duration reduction on confuse/fear effects so they have trouble stacking magnitude. If you don't take wolf armor and just take crab armor/fortification (you have to take crab armor upgrade or wolf spider armor, and crab armor upgrade is just better), you have 12 protection which beats scrapper/brute protection, and is *almost* at tanker mag.If you take wolf armor + crab armor + fortification you will have 14.3 vs hold/stun/sleep/immob and 6 vs confuse/fear.
BTW, crabs are awesome. Make one now. -
ATI's drivers generally don't handle openGL well. I had the misfortune of playing CoH a while ago on an earlier computer of mine that used an ATI card.
Also, one setting you can often turn down for better performance is particle effects. Has a side benefit of making it easier to see what you're doing in large teams (at the cost of making things like fireball not look as pretty). If I remember right, bloom and depth of field are also good candidates for disabling. Depth of field uses extra processing power to make certain things look blurry. -
Quote:WoW's forums went super nuclear during the time they announced they were going to enforce "Real ID" on their forums. Basically whatever name people had their account registered on would be used as their forum name. They backed down on that.I still haven't seen this, or any forum, go that nuclear in as short a timeframe since then.
Also, a CM that gave out their real name as "proof" of how it would still be safe to have real names shown on the forum ended up getting called at work cause someone used the name to find out their phone number. -
In case you didn't know, kinetics is REALLY good at gimping a single strong enemy target, like AVs. The -damage debuff from siphon power stacks with itself and with the debuff from fulcrum shift. The -recharge debuff from siphon speed stacks with itself and is tagged unresistable. Which I believe makes even a single stack of it work better than most heavy -recharge debuffs on AVs.
-
O2 boost also gives a good amount of end drain/recovery debuff resistance to whoever it gets used on, which can be helpful occasionally.
-
There's a few sets you can get both +recovery and +max endurance out of. Gift of the Ancients (defense) and Impervium armor (resistance) are two of them; there's also a pet set and a slow set. I've used 4 pieces of impervium/gift in a lot of builds.

It goes down to this question: Is this team having trouble?
If no, then who cares if there's deadweight, steamroll ahead!
If yes, try to figure out what the problem is. -
Quote:Well, there's a difference between having a concept build and having your concept be that you're gimped. However, you will run into people who just can't understand why anyone would play for a non-mechanical-power reason, and who'll hold it against you.
Granted, as long as the petless MM takes their support skills from their secondary and actually uses them they can be useful to a team. If they did nothing but use their attacks and never use support skills, then I'd consider them deadweight worth considering a kick for. -
There's many lists and about the only thing they agree on is rule 34 (and rule 63).

Mostly I just want sonic resonance to have some psionic resistance somewhere, considering it's a set whose mitigation is based all around resistance. At the very least have it in the aoe resistance toggle, kind of like how force field gets psionic defense in its aoe defense toggle.

If I remember right from episode 3 of Who will die?, Miss Liberty didn't have any powers at the time of that mission. She has been doing high powered diplomacy since she lost her powers, but no more super powers. She can't go down fighting. Unless you think you can negotiate with crazies like Malaise and Mr I want to summon Rularuu.

Quote:Where do you find this mission? What level range?Well, guess it was a good thing I finished my last Statesman story when I did the way I did ...
*sigh*
So I suppose this means we're going to lose the Rogue mission where you get to dress up as Statesman and say, "For Justice and kittens!" 8-(
Seriously, that one mission did more for making Statesman likable than six years of other in-game content ... -
The first. If you have inf over the limit, you just can't gain more until you go under it.

What are the debuff numbers on dominator sleet? Dominator melt armor is listed on mid's at 11.25% resist debuff, but mid's doesn't list numbers for Dominator sleet.

Quote:MMO pvp in general is terrible because of gearing requirements. If we use the 900lb gorilla's system as an example, you have to spend extreme amounts of time pvping to gear up to pvp so that you don't get curb stomped. And every few months you get to do it again. And if they make some changes so that your class isn't good at it anymore? Time to level a new character. And take a long time doing that. And then gear it up.I do kind of wish IO's never happened. Well, there are a few of them that I can't live without (some of the uniques), but other than that, they add a lot of tedious work, which I personally don't enjoy at all. With SO's, you can fully slot a toon in like 5 minutes. With IO's, it can take days or weeks. And I just don't enjoy that part of the game at all. But of course I do enjoy the benefit.
I will say this though: No doubt in my mind that PvP would have been better off without IO's. At this point if you haven't spent 15+ billion on your build, you may as well not even set foot in PvP, at least if you're new. It's absolutely insane to require that much of an investment just to TRY something, considering 99% of the game population will NEVER have that much inf.
Allowing only SO's would have put everybody on the same level, so things would be decided by skill, not by who spent more on their build. Of course IO's weren't the only (or even nearly the biggest) thing that destroyed PvP, but I fully believe it would have been better off without them.
This is why I prefer to do my pvping in a game made for it, like TF2 or LoL. -
I still need to get around to respeccing my mind/psi dom to having an attack chain again. Before the nerf he basically cycled mind probe/psy shockwave. For single target damage.

Quote:And I don't get this whole "play time vs. inf cost" comparison. How does it consume "valuable playing time" to just drop in a buy order and then go off and continue doing what you were doing? Go pick up the item when the buy order is filled and get on with playing again. What's all this about waiting around for low bids to be fulfilled? That's completely unnecessary since the game doesn't stop, or prevent you from doing missions while you have outstanding market transactions.
The characters I marketeer on are often not the characters I'm going to play that night. I get my marketeering over at the start, then go play on another character. I don't plan on spending the time to log back into them later. And when I'm making anywhere from 5-10 million profit per IO, 100k means almost nothing. -
It's really easy to stack sleet's effects too. The sleet storm lasts 30 seconds and the effect lingers for 15 seconds after it ends. At maximum recharge you could almost triple stack it.

What was changed on life drain?

Mostly I wish the old style caves would get replaced entirely. They're pretty terrible for teams in general, MM pets just happen to make it worse.

If you know the answers already you can just go to the end and take the quiz from the npc.
