They're here for ego-[Censored]. Nothing more, nothing less.
[/ QUOTE ]
Would this be a bad time to point out that "[Censored]" has been mod-censored several times in a post (which I now can't find and may have been deleted)?
[/ QUOTE ]
You have nothing to fear here... this is the "official" thread. Whichever mod who tried to smack this thread would get smacked themselves.

Of course, any discussion about this topic other than here gets the brutal modstick treatment. Don't believe me? Just ask the Virtue community. Three times a discussion on how these moderation rules would affect threads in the Virtue forums (not the Infinity forum, not the Justice forum, not the Guardian forum... THE VIRTUE FORUM ONLY) gets the uber pimp-smack from the moderators after it was said that the Server forums were not a focus on such massive scrutiny. That immediate thread pruning is in and of itself .
Not everyone comes to these boards... not everyone wants to... and THAT should be respected by the mods. Sometimes you'd rather discuss a topic with your close friends in the privacy of your home, where you can actually be heard, than try to shout to be heard in the middle of the SuperBowl during halftime and you're there without a mic, being told to "go away... we're trying to watch the game". That last image is what happens to many people when they venture into the general threads/forums... they are a sheep in a lion's den and get summarily mauled.
I know that you want the discussion in one place, but sometimes it spurs side discussions (like the Virtue threads that were locked/deleted)... if you continue locking and deleting these threads because they aren't in the "official" threads, you could very well drive away people not just from the forums proper... but take their money to some other MMO with a community that doesn't stifle side discussions.
So, concerning these new moderation rules...
/no.

I would say start to research ancient Chinese mythology and set their creation back a good while (500+ years).
Wu Ming was trapped "for eternity" by an exceptional Shao Lin monk martial artist, and Wu Ming vowed revenge on those who practice martial arts to protect what would be her "food". After defeating one after her "release", the character found that they felt stronger than from a normal "meal", thus developing an "acquired taste" for the ki of Natural Martial Artists of a heroic bent.
Just off the top of my head. You'll need to fill in the blanks more; I'm not going to do all of the work for you

Not yelling at you, but story-line writers in general..
Enough of the damn alternate and parallel worlds, it's a cop out to a better storyline. It's used incase the viewers/readers/players don't like the new path, the director can simply say.. oh well it was just a dream, things will go back to normal next week.

Time travel storyline? Ugh.
I hate to say this, but if it isn't done right they're going to screw this game up. Seriously.
[/ QUOTE ]
So, you're calling Doom on a wild guess of what may be happening and supposing they'll do a horrible job at it.
You're as cheery as Venture.
[/ QUOTE ]
And obviously, you pick one part of that whole post and take a pot shot... just leave off the part where I said that I hope that they do it right just to make your cheap shot.
This is why I stay out of these threads for the most part.
And by the way, if I knew who the frak Venture was, then maybe I would actually be insulted or flattered... I have no clue either way.

Would it be cool to finish off that open story arc that you out-leveled? Yes, but personally I would rather them actually write code that removes contacts in your list once you finished with them rather than having to scroll through 20 useless and FINISHED contacts to find the one that you are looking for. Or code a permanent fix for the constant breaking of people who are on your team (yet not part of your SG or Coalition) not being able to visit your SG base (this gets fixed, then breaks again once a new Issue comes out... it gets tiresome).
"Manipulation of the past" is an iffy storyline at best; overused and hackneyed, coming off as ridiculous and lame at worst. If they can pull this off, whoever wrote it might as well quit their job there at Cryptic and write novels for a living, because they will have done the impossible: making a divergent timeline story actually be GOOD. 99.9% of the time, those kinds of stories end up being total and utter bull droppings.
To be honest, the only things that even interests me now in Issue 11 are the new powersets.
And before you smart-aleck slappycakes start screaming at me "You're screaming DOOOOOOM already and you're not on Test", let's get this straight; I [u]only[u] play CoX in terms of MMOs and I want this to succeed, but this is an EXTREMELY risky storyline to do... I hope that they can pull it off, but the literary track record for such a storyline doesn't bode well for them.

I do believe you have "killed off" every single CoH and CoV contact there. (edit: If not, very close to all of them.)
I guess it is your way of saying goodbye, huh?
[/ QUOTE ]
Something tells me that this means, "Hope that you enjoy Issue 11... it'll be the last."
The only other option is that they are going to completely replace all of the contacts with new ones with new storylines, but that would take a ton of work coding-wise; a revamp that I don't see happening in this game, especially with MUO in the works.
I'm afraid that this may be the signal to the start of the end times of CoH/CoV. It's the only explanation for such contradictory and complete revisionist storyline.

Planning a marathon Settlers of Cataan beatdown with your family? SWEET! I have a friend who actually won the right to compete in the Settlers World Championships in Germany
I hope you and your family have a wonderful time, and all the best to the soon to be married couple.

Just going by my memory:
The "main campus" is not on any of the official maps for the game. The branches in-game are treated as branch campuses of the "main campus" in the Paragon University RP thread.
School colors are probably red and white (because of the cheerleader outfit the one girl is wearing in front of the Steel Canyon branch).
No mascot as of yet that I know of.
Some of the buildings have been named, but do not have a complete list. I do know that the Theater Building is named the Christopher Reeve Theater Building.
Sorry that I couldn't be much help.

((Which server will this be taking place on? Kind of hard to agree to do this if we're not sure where in the game it's taking place. Will this be on Test? Freedom? Infinity? It sounds like a good idea [Virtue did something similar on the anniversary of the game going Live for those who fell in the first Rikti war], but more information is really needed.))

You are on the US servers, and the "unofficial" RP server (there will never be an official one) is considered Virtue. There are usually a lot of people in the Pocket D there, and many of the heavy RPers stay in character while missioning. You willl find RPing on the other servers, but the biggest concentration is on Virtue.
Hope this helps.

Why don't you just have it as part of the Thursday Block Party; you don't have to worry about age requirements or locals who aren't into gaming since it's only for GenCon attendees, and could easily be arranged with the GenCon staff to have it there with a bunch of tables set aside for such an occasion.
Just a suggestion.

1) For your main toon only, taking into account that you're high level and not at current SG levels, what is your namesake's origin and Archetype?
Krimsin Hawk, Level 50 Mutation Tanker
2) When facing the first mob of the room, or one of those giant open rooms with like 4 groups of mobs, what is your favorite first attack?
/em getsome into Foot Stomp
3) Please give me the name, what the animation looks like on your end, and or what happens to the mob when it hits them.
She turns to her side, slaps her buttcheek, returns to a normal stance, then raises her right leg bent at the knee and brings it down onto the ground, cracking the ground and sending many people flying away if not taken out completely.
4) What's your favorite/least favorite mob to face...
Favorite would be Crey, especially since they are so tied into her backstory. Least favorite would be either Devouring Earth and Malta; DE take SO LONG for her to take down, and Malta has those nasty Sappers that screw with a Tanker so much. -
That is a great piece, Sorah... very well done =)

Issue 20 will be the last printed comic... which means that the character could be drawn into issue 19 or 20.
