Sad to see you go... you were always on the boards to explain power decisions whether or not people liked it, and you never took it personally, putting everything out there. That is a rare breed indeed in this day and age of MMO developers and you will be sorely missed in your capacity here. Could NCSoft/Paragon Studios sue this guy because of the video ads they made for when AE was coming out? Technically, they did have the name first and I believe they copyrighted the name when they did the videos. I doubt they will, but who knows.

I just reupped with 3-month subscription not too long ago (and doesn't expire until February), so for me to take advantage of this which of the following options are correct?
A) Cancel, resub with one of the plans during that time, get billed in February when current time expires and new time with bonus month(s) gets added in February.
B) Cancel, resub with one of the plans during that time, get billed immediately and new time with bonus month(s) adds to end of subscription immediately.
C) Cancel, resub with one of the plans during that time, pay through Paypal and have it applied immediately and new time added to end of current subscription immediately.

edit - I figured we'd be buying that leaf aura. I saw it on the Praetorian Halloween Costume Salvage NPC and figured it'd be ours eventually! I'm guessing the Firefly and Snow aura was from here but not sure from where in the pack they would have been. I guess Nature..? Maybe they were from a Seasonal or Holiday pack.
Still looking for Halloween pack, dammit! :P

Lol people complain about 20 characters.. thats amazing. Seriously people, most MMos don't allow over 12 and thats without spaces. We are fortunate to have 20.

This is something that I have been curious about but haven't been able to find a real answer.
Why are character names limited to only 20 characters? Was this an arbitrary decision? Why 20 instead of say 25? Is this a database limit issue (yes, I know that the parameter is set to 20, but would it have actually broken the database if the parameter was set higher)?
I have no real problem with it being 20 characters, just was wondering the reasoning behind it.

They're locking the name down, but nothing will be done with it, much like the guy who locked down the rights to the City of Heroes movie... by the way, how is THAT progressing? Oh, wait... it's not.
When we actually see the City of Heroes movie then MAYBE we'll see City of Heroes 2.

As long as all of these prize choices get added to the Forum Games contests here on the forums that have been taking place for months (Search a Word, Screenshot the Spot and Caption Contest) during this promotion, I can handle that; the ones ran here every Mon, Wed & Fri take some sort of skill or creativity to complete... the Facebook and Twitter ones are basically "the fastest typist with the fastest Internet connection wins".
And to the person who compared these contests to radio giveaways, at least with radio giveaways you can be the 34th caller to win if that is who they are looking for; the FB/Twitter giveaway is akin to always having to be the first caller and your radio reception has to be faster than anyone else's to get a shot.

My theory is this:
They are prepping the servers for Going Rogue, not just for the influx of potential new/returning players but also to set up the "pre-download" of the GR art assets much like they do for Issue releases; when you log out, you get an immediate download of the majority of the code needed for the next Issue so that when it goes live, you only have a much smaller patch to download instead of a huge one thus clogging the patch server.
