No player should have to ask themsleves: "Do I sacrifice my rewards to play with my friends? or do I sacrifice playing with my friends for better rewards?"
I'm not saying that this feature 'Should Not Be Implemented and if it is: dooooommm'. In an ideal world (game? game world?) it would be a zero-sum; but if the Deves errr on one side or the other I would encorrage them to continue in the same vane as they always have, and err - pro-team (thou by as little as possible after all). -
The Dev's will have to be very careful with the implementation of this feature, it could well result in a situation where 'Soloing with the spawns up' could be more rewarding that teaming, which would serve as a dis-incentive to team, which would be bad.

A sensible neckline in 'Tops with Skin' for females.

Just to make a point about the Golf/Baseball analogy; the problem as I see it with the current situation (though less now that the Mito-farms have been nixed) is that the 'pay' for playing 'Baseball' is much, much greater than the 'pay' for playing 'Golf'. This has a multipul effect of concentrating the playerbase in 'Baseball' (making it harder (to a degree) for Golfers to find other Golfers), encoraging people who dont like 'Baseball' to play it (because they do like to get payed), and making the poeple who love 'Golf', and simply will not play 'Baseball' to feel that they are getting the short end of the stick.

. . . it's just not as serious by comparison.

Neither are the punishments. -

Oh, also, Wolf's Throat in Striga + undeside of Warburge are really nice little underground areas, soo totally need to have instanced maps of them

There is some really nifty area under the Big Office building in Crey's Folly, and that zone has a suprising number of nice details. Also, untill recently, I had no idea that the Aracnos building in Port Oaks had boiler, smokestacks, & other industrial gizoms on its sides about half way up. Also in Port Oaks, Fort Hades, is a very nice little area.

I've soloed the Strike Force (i.e. the Villan One), with my Stalker. It wernt easy, I died several times, but I did do it.

If AE XP get's nerfed the only reason will be all the forum cryer's.. whaaa he levels too fast.. he farms.. whaaa!
That's what get's the game nerfed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh yes, It's all the 'whiners' fault *chuckle*.
I supose that if the devs nerf everything people whine about, eventually they will have to nerf the capacity to whine, what with all the whiners whining about the other whiners.

A friend of mine plays EVE. He showed it to me. The game world graphics look incredible, but I can't get excited about a game where my character graphics are alittle snapshot, spreadsheets are crucia, and PvP means 'start over'.
[/ QUOTE ]
I played EvE for about 6 months (stopped over a year ago), and it is a truely, vissually, gorgeous game. But at the end of my time there I really had to ask myself why I was still playing. I solo alot, & I wasn't particularly keen on the PvP, so that means soloing the PVE content, which was bassically [censored]; repedative, unconnected missions with the thinest possible venear of story attached to them, and if you wanted the best ones, you wound up in laggy, overpopulated, scamer-rife systems. I hear they are working on that element of the game, so maybey it is differnt now, but well, I dont know, & I dont have the spare time to find out. -
'City of Heroes' is Dead, Long Live 'Single Building of Heroes'

I tend towards 2-part names, so I've managed to get most of the ones I've thought of.
BEST: Junk Gaint - Inv/SS Tank. I acuatually had the name for quite a while because I was waiting for an oportunity to make him as a scrapper; but eventually I bit the bullet and maed his as a Tank. He is now Lvl 45 & will be my next 50.
Other Noteable mentions:
- The Rascal King
- Steel Oni
- Kit Bash
- White Harlequin -

I'm called a liar, a child, an idiot and a villain. All for pushing for Tanker issues.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not what you've been saying, but rather how you have said it, that's usually the problem.
That said; these days we do seem to be dealing with a Kinder-Gentler Johnny. It's been a while since I've seen you reach the heights of ludicrous I remember from ealier instances of this disscussion (though your assersion that tank players who dont agree with you have been 'broken' came close).
Have you been replaced by a Nemisis Automaton? -
oh man, I would roll an Ice/anything Stalker soo fast, my head would spin.

What Pendix is passively noting is that I wrote the arc of which he speaks.

I would have used the same example reguardless of who I was responding too. (changing the names to protect the inocent)
[ QUOTE ]
Now, if you want to argue the betterment of the game as a whole, the betterment of other people's experiences, the usefulness to SGs, VGs, badgers, farmers, frustrated creatives and so on, sure, probably blows their doors off. But I'm not speaking for them. I can't.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which is a point that largely got lost/missed in the early stages of this disscussion.
And I dont think anyone is telling you have to be enthuastic about anything, they just dont understand why you are not enthuastic, and asking for an explination (which is provided, but the premis of which is then disaggreed with, and things deteroiate from there).

Ok, first, to adress the OP's topic; It would be silly to asssume that nothing from that Survey was going to be implemented, it would also be just as silly to assume that everything on that list is going to get impelemented. Why? Primarily because we dont have the results of the survey. It's entiery likley that the results were a big thumbs up on 'Player created missions', 'Power Customisation' & 'Side Switching' but a big thumbs down on another item(s). In which case we could exepct those two to get implemented, but not the ones that got a thumbs down. It's possible that everything got a thumbs up, (in which case we could expect them all eventually), but we dont know the results, so it is all really up in the air.
And on to the tangent about AE;
[ QUOTE ]
My opinion is not a democracy.
[/ QUOTE ]
But is it a Totalitarian Regime with expansionist tendancies?
Seriously though; there are few things I could say about this ATM, but for the sake of expiedency I'll just stick with my opinion of AE; which I will illistrate with a little story;
A friend of mine and I are in a somewhat RP focused SG on Virtue (who'd of thunk?), & the over the last week he put together a AE arc tailored to our supergroup. On Sunday he got together a bunch of people in the SG (and one extra) and we all ran that arc together. It was awesome, there was RP & smashing stuff & much fun was had by all participants. And all this was done in-around-&-because-of the arc my Friend had made. I dont care if AE is full of steaming carp, the fact that it allows for what I experienced on Sunday, the fact that it allows me to do the same thing (presuming I get my act together), THAT, that makes it a success (IMO), that makes it not a waste of time, and that makes this game just that more attractive for me to play.

Personally, I'm rather fond of Green Nugget (Bloody Bay). It's got a catchy tune to it.
[/ QUOTE ]
This, most certainly this. -
I have 2: My first was a MA/Nin Stalker called 'The Rascal King' (my first character to 50, & before the I12 stalker buff). His name was Vinnie & he was an international jewel thief, who, most of the time, pretended he was a low level crim, and got his high profile jobs attributed to a mythical figure called "The Rascal King' whose legen he would feed as much as he could while still dismising him as 'impossible'.
To give you an idea of how much time & effort I put into this character: I spent 8 hours in Sirens Call farming Dept for the High Pain Threshold accolade -
[ QUOTE ]
As for Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning, have these been stated by a redname anywhere, if so I missed it, or are you quoting conjecture.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am certain that the Two new signiture characters of 'Going Rogue' have those powersets, & I'm pretty certain that while a 'redname on the forums' has not said it, it is noted in the press release of 'Going Rogue' (cant be arsed to dig up the link) that the expansion will include those two new powersets. -
Kool Aid, which I drink from my tinfoil cup, but only when I am sure that the government (and Nemesis) is not watching.

* a nice but far from stellar costume named "ulterior" - with the pattern on the mini resembling something someone drew while both drunk and blindfolded, but still.... and
*A pretty, but fairly hard-to-see Tights pattern called "vines."
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, I rather like the "ulterior" set, it's vines I find to be quite boring. But they are both a bone thrown to the 'more-classic-Super-Hero-options' crowd.
Personally I think they are reasonably good for the first outing of Jay's new sla... assistant, & I expect great things from her in the future (no pressure)
