I'm alright, my job is secure, I don't own a house, and I could afford to buy stuff if I needed cheering up, which I don't. And I'm quite optomistic that with less money people will go back to realising what is really important in life.

This is my current build. It works for me!

If you where trying to get a sample of certifiably insane people, I think you posted in the right place...

Zortel: "Why didn't you just go to dwarf form and use taunt?"
[/ QUOTE ]
And mob dies of Psi damage - Perfect Zinger proc? -
I dunno if I count as high fucntionin, but I have filled it in. Still looking for the floaty red rectangles...
-
Ah, quite right.
I'm just going off my experience, where BA was to expensive to keep up pre Stamina and SOs, and found that relying on the res and +hp for suvival was more effective.
But I would try to pick up AAO as soon as it becomes avaliable, not just for the +dmg, but as an aggro magnet.
I guess you have them now though...
Addendum: I think I would try to pick up Aid Self long before level 47. Maybe AaO at 22, Aid Other at 24, Aid Self at 26. -
From a leveling point of view, I would would swap AAO to level 12, Battle Agility to 22, and PF to 24.
-
Personally, I did take Wolf Armour, I found I got mezzed through just the bane armour occasionally, and it made a good place to slot my Steadfast Protection.
Definatly get Health, this is multiplied by the VEAT inherent.
Mental Training is good if you are going with pets, otherwise it is skippable. I certainly wouldn't give it an extra run speed - I would go with the verious temp jet packs if I was going to skip travel powers.
Survailance is geat fun, but has to be considered skippable in a power build (using it puts the mace away, which effectively increases ativation time of next power in an attack chain). CT Offenisve is only good for the to-hit debuff resistance.
Addendum: CJ is a good power to fit in if you are going for the +def cap.
I didn't really try to cap def on my bane (apart from ranged) with no def bebuff resistance there are quite a few mobs who will take your def apart, and teaming with another VEAT is much easier and cheeper anyway -
[ QUOTE ]
Why do you want to waste my time and spoil my fun, making me stop playing and spend all my time sending stupid messages?
Whenever I see the 'mo blinds tab' I know the person is rude and arrogant so I just don't invite.
[/ QUOTE ]
The OPs post is offensive in the extreme to anyone who puts "no blind invites" in thier comments. This includes myself and quite a few other people on this forum, so under the circumstances I think the response was as kind and respectful as could reasonably be expected.
[ QUOTE ]
If your status is set to LFT then generally you should expect to recieve blind invites.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just because you are looking for a team doesn't mean you are looking for any team. Which if more rude, putting a "no blind invites" in your comment or turning down a blind invite without explanation? Which is what I will do if I get a blind invite from someone I don't know, I assure you.
If you don't mind getting blind invites, then you can put "blind invites welcome" in your search comment. You might think that would increase your chance of getting an invite, but I doubt it.
[ QUOTE ]
The fact that it is so hard to get a team and requires a lot of effort these days
[/ QUOTE ]
People have been putting "no blind invites" for as long as I have been playing (nearly 4 years now). That hasn't changed, and doesn't have any effect on the number of teams available. they only thing that has changed is when the game was brand spanking new there where more players. -
I love Malta. As an organisation that specialises in controlling metahumans, it make perfect sense that their gear and tactics should be very effective against said metahumans.
And it makes a refeshing change to encounter an enemy group which rewards thought and tactics, rather than the simplistic blast though everything you usually get.
Soloing a massive Malta group invasion was the highlight of the new issue 13 content for me. -
Oh yeah, they are nice to have, but if you are going to skip any those are the ones you can live without. Ok, you could live without Shield Charge at a pinch, but would you want to?
And I don't think you could fit in PF, GC and Tough and Weave. -
Comments about Shields:
[ QUOTE ]
What powers are skippable?
[/ QUOTE ]
Phalanx Fighting, Grant Cover.
[ QUOTE ]
Is it worth getting tough/weave and aidself?
[/ QUOTE ]
If you can fit them in, yes. Aid Self first.
[ QUOTE ]
Will I have to have Hasten?
[/ QUOTE ]
No, Shields doesn't benefit greatly from Hasten.
Hint for leveling: Take True Grit ahead of Battle Agility. -
[ QUOTE ]
Did that, nope, all are grey/white books.
[/ QUOTE ]
There are no grey/white books, only red and yellow. Go through all your outleveled contacts and see if they offer you missions. If they do, accept and clear them.
[ QUOTE ]
i cant level the character until i can speak to GW because i want to take the patron power at 41
[/ QUOTE ]
You get a respec when you complete the patron arc. -
A couple of reasons why VEATs didn't get special mobs:
1) VEATs are basically normal humans (for the most part). If longbow had a weapon that did special damage to VEATs it should do special damage to practically everyone else as well. And when everyone is special, no one is special.
2) They realised that kryptonite mobs didn't work as a balancing instrument. Hence the nerfage of voids and Qs.
3) It would have delayed the realse of VEATs by at least another issue while the special mob code was added. -
The old MoG reduced your max hp to a pittence, prevented regen, and after game changes to defence activating it actually reduced your suvivability.
The new version retains the +res and +def, without the hp penalty. The payoff is the much reduced duration.
The change was a buff not a nerf. -
It sounds like you have open yellow story arcs.
Speek check all your contacts to see if they have the yellow book symbol. -
[ QUOTE ]
Could this possibly be a jab of some kind against a certain poster on these forums?
[/ QUOTE ]
It would seem more like some kind of generic snipe. -
Praetorian Blue Steel has both a goatie and an eyepatch.
But he is probably a good guy who doesn't go round beating prisoners to death. -
He can't appear as an enemy you could punch because the bounding boxes don't scale properly to mobs that size.
You could make him unattackable, with some other target to destroy in order to banish him.
As for the original suggestion, the Midnighter archivist clues lead me to think some kind of SS revamp is on the cards.
They have also said that the CoP will be fixed when base raiding is fixed, which had to follow on from the issue 13 PvP alledged "fix". -
You need to add "hero zone events" or "villain zone events" to your chat window.
-
Thing about GMs is thier spawn rate was changed to be quite high, because they where frequently missed. With a high spawn rate the reward has to be low to prevent farming.
Now that we have notification of GMs spawning, the actual spawn rate could be reduced, which would alow the reward to be increased.
GMs should then get thier merit rewards set on a case by case basis.
We could then have a couple more villain side GMs added. I would go for a Wailer GM in St. Martel.
And a Cimmeroran GM. -
Ok, lets sort some things out. Firstly, it's not much to do with characters being "trademarked". Very few names are actually trademarks. The law in question is copywrite and that inculdes things like appearence, powers and names that in some way resemble the name of an existing character.
Yes, you are quite correct, if applied strictly than an awful lot of characters would be genericed. That is why the GMs operate a sliding scale. They look at similarity of name, costume and powers taken together. They also look at how well known the character is. The more well known the character is, the more likely it is that you will be asked to change some aspect. There is also the Marvel factor. Because of the Marvel lawsuit a few years ago GMs tend to be much stricter where the resembelence is to one of thier characters (with VVolverine probably number one on the list).
Character's getting their names changed is something that happens quite a lot in this game. It's probably happened to many of the verterans here. The thing is not to take it as a personal attack, just choose a new name and carry on playing. -
Could also be because it was a claws/regen scrapper that looked like a character played by someone called Jackman in a couple of movies.
-
So where can we get the Shoe Salesman badge in game?
