Dominators are very hard to solo. Certainly harder than most corruptor builds.
-
I can recomend Spad's guide, it put me on the right track.
-
Yeah, for the recharge rate reduction. Get Hasten as well and 3 slot it. Lighting reflexes will let you keep hasten up for longer and with Power Sink and Conserve Power you should never run out of end.
-
It's about the same as swift.
-
If you don't have have either acrobatics or are Grounded on the ground you will get knocked all around the zone in PvP and won't be able to get an attack in.
-
PvP is a whole other ballgame, but if you are depending on Grounded for you KB protection vertical movement of any kind would be a very bad thing.
IMO for PvP you are best skipping Grounded and picking up CJ, SJ and Acrobatics. However elec/elec is not really a good PvP choice anyway. -
When on TOs don't slot anything else until you have at least 4 +accs in your attacks.

Wouldn't the best travel power for an /elec Brute be Super Speed - I mean with the knockback protection being present in a 'must be on ground' power?

Agree, or go for Jumping and skip grounded. -
Energy Transfer is the most damaging single target attack in the game, and the hp loss is very barable.
This power is the whole reason for taking energy melee. -
The important difference is that Invun gives a high resistance to smashing and lethal damage, whereas EA is a largly defense based set. Defense reduces the chance that the mobs will hit you, whereas resistance reduces the damage you take.
Invun also has a self heal/hp boost available quite early. -
Dunno, but probably.
Dunno, but pets are probably best with 1 acc 2 dam 2 redrec and any other of your choice. Unless you only want to use it to take alpha strikes for you. -
All energy damage is usually better than Energy/Smash:
1) there are more mobs with smash resistance than energy resistance
2) Defense against smash or energy will defend against energy+smash, where as smash defense is useless against a pure energy attack.
Blasters just do more damage than PBs full stop. Best thing to do is for your PB to team with 7 tankers. -
I expect the person in question just enjoyed playing in dwarf form.
-
I get travel sick when I use the nova form, so I simply didn't take it on my PB and I don't play my WS much.
-
Does consume drain end? I thought it just damged mobs and gave you endurance? It certainly neads a to hit roll.
I very much doubt elec/fire would ever be able to sap. Elec/EA could though. -
Yeah, I've played one of these to level 10, and was already really hurting for endurance, I intend to get stamina at 20, then do a respec at 35.
-
Healing is rubbish, since the protectors always use it at the wrong time.
-
Actually I believe it is Def S/L/E res toxic ('cos there is no toxic def). It can only be slotted for def.
-
I guess the EMP at the end of power surge is supposed to hold your foes for long enough for you to use rest/run away. However when I tried it the EMP missed/failed the longbow boss I was fighting. Any figures on accuracy, mag and duration for this power.
Also I noticed tha with PS active all other shields stay up. Is this the same as unstoppable? -
Smoke is probably more effective than stealth, especially in PvP.

i have heard this as well, but heard it the other way round. if u had a lvl 50 hero you could unlock the villain epics. not sure how true this is.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not to mention that there are no villain epics yet. -
My experiance would support what Nekomimi says. The end drain on on most elec powers isn't sufficent to sap an enemy, but they are enough to keep them sapped after you have power sunk them.
From a build point of view, Electric Melee without Power Sink is completly useless as a sapping power, so Elec/somthing else is probably a weakened combo.
Another implication, don't bother to slot for end drain until you get power sink. -
This has interesting implications for patron powers, since Black Scorpion is the only one with a +def power (numbers?). A few seconds really high defence could be really useful against an alpha strike. Unfortunatly I can't go with BS as I desperately nead an end recovery power.

By that argument, -res and +dam are secondary effects so +res is too.
