Struggling with Elec/elec build, advice please
Curretly L28 on my Elec Brute. I have medicine pool but this is my build with fighting pool switched in
At L30 i'll get lightning field and at 35 when i get power sink the endred will get changed for rech reds

Wouldn't the best travel power for an /elec Brute be Super Speed - I mean with the knockback protection being present in a 'must be on ground' power?
I am taking fly on my SS/Elec brute as it means i can get air supe without wasting another power. I have heard that grounded is being "fixed" - no idea what this means but still doubt it will work in the air (name would be a tad misleading then).
Either way it doesn't matter coz you wont be fighting while flying, and if you are you get KB res anyway (little flying flip). How many times have you been travelling with a flying character and thought "Damn this pesky knockback!"

Agree, or go for Jumping and skip grounded.

Well I've gone with teleport.
The combination of Swift, Lightning Reflexes and Sprint give a pretty good ground speed, for combat and its unsupressed, so I only really need a travel power for getting places and virtical travel. Teleport seems to fit well with Lightning Rod thematically.
I've chosen not to get my travel power till 24. So far I havent regretted it. I got two temporary travel powers from the Mayhem missions (Atlas and Kings Row) and plan to pick the Sky Raider Flight Pack from Lt Chalmers in my early 20s. So far at 18th level I still ahve over 85 minutes left on the Jump Pack and over 100 minutes left on the flight pack. Add in another 60 minutes from the sky raider pack and thats over 4 hours of travel powers..more than enough to get me to 24 hopefully.
So far Endurance has been a huge issue. I'm hoping Stamina at 20 will solve much of this. I know from the RV event thatonce I get Power Sink all Endurance issues will vanish... At the moment I actually fight groups of three or less yellows with all shields off, since health is less of an issue than endurance.
Brawl, Charged Brawl and Havok Punch, are great for building rage. I really feel I need more attacks in this build, but there simply isnt room for them (short of either taking air superiority and fly instead of teleport, but I want teleport).
To shine Elec/Elec really needs Medicine (aid self), fitness (sprint and stamina), Speed (Hasten), Fighting (Tough and Weave), Leaping (acrobatics), but obviously this isnt possible so we have to pick and choose. This is the build I'm going with and baring the Endurance issues it seems okay so far.

Do you know if "Lightning Reflexes" increase the fly speed?
(with my kinetics "siphon speed" increased my fly speed so I'm wondering if "Lightning Reflexes" and eventually "swift" does...)

Be careful. Something I noticed on my Warshade was that if you tp into a mob, and they notice you before the temporary hover after the tp wears off and smack you with a KB attack, then you go absolutely flying...
And if your KB protection is dependent on you being on the ground........
Just something to bear in mind.

Taking super speed for */elec brutes is it a really a good choice? In pvp with SS we can't move verticaly...is it a problem?
PvP is a whole other ballgame, but if you are depending on Grounded for you KB protection vertical movement of any kind would be a very bad thing.
IMO for PvP you are best skipping Grounded and picking up CJ, SJ and Acrobatics. However elec/elec is not really a good PvP choice anyway.

Im not full elec just dark,elec...
I want to up a brute for pve,pvp..for pve taking fly for my brute is not a problem I think but in pvp...
If you don't have have either acrobatics or are Grounded on the ground you will get knocked all around the zone in PvP and won't be able to get an attack in.

Thanks for the useful advice.
I've noticed the same thing with my Stalker which is why the only time I teleport in combat is when I'm running away, or I get immobolised.
I'm hoping to rely on lightning Reflexes, Sprint and Swift most of the time in combat. I know this isnt perfect for PvP, but Elec/Elec is hardly the perfect PvP brute anyway.. (especially with Energy drains only having 25% effect on players))
Does any one know how fast is Lightning Reflexes, is it majorly fast or is it like having sprin on permantly ?? i am going for SJ with my brute i also have fittness due to the endurance comsumption and the no self heal

Yeah, for the recharge rate reduction. Get Hasten as well and 3 slot it. Lighting reflexes will let you keep hasten up for longer and with Power Sink and Conserve Power you should never run out of end.

And, I think a permanent 20% increase in recharge rate and 10% increase in run speed, that's what I heard, not sure though, but well worth having.
Almost as good as a Recharge SO in all your powers if it is, well worth having.
just grabed jacobs ladder an i must admit its the only poer ive been unimpressed ith, the damage is good but the animation sucks and the cone is......... well almost none existent so thats the first power to be scrubbed off the list, so if i take stamina and SS as trvel power it means ill only have one other power i need to not take, so far in thinking lightning clap as it doesnt do any damage, is slo to recharge and all it really does is knockback. Sound good?
like a goo dnumber of ppl, as soon as issue 7 hit one of the first things i did (other than choose my patron) was build an elec/elec brute, and i gotta say i love it! i hit lvl 9 today and have just taken lightning strike (or thunder strike i forget) my poers curretly look like this

Charged Armour: 2 slotted
Conductive Shield: 2 slotted
Swift: 1 slotted
my problem is this 1) i cant think of a good travel power to take (no SJ ALL my characters seem to end up ith SJ so not this guy) 2) what pools to take (additionaly im not takin aid self as its no "in theme" with the character) 3) fitting in the powers i want.
i kinda figure im gonna have to take stamina so thats 3 powers, hasten is another but its optional and at least another 2 for a travel power or one if i take super speed, but ive seen ppl try to get round grandville with SS and it looked hard work lol.
So here i am, askin for adivce from my peers hehe all advice is welcome.
additionally, anyone got a link for a post I7 hero builder?
