To borrow WoW. in PvE and PvP significantly different mechanics apply, complete with gear bonuses that don't do anything for PvE being necessary for PvP (May have changed since I stopped playing but was true for a long time). New players got slaughtered because they had no crit protection because it wasn't relevant for PvE and you could only get gear with it by doing PvP. It was literally impossible to be prepared for PvP until after you played. Still, the fact that you always were put on a team with other people, and there were team goals instead of individual goals, meant that you could have fun running around and stomping on people. You didn't get gang r@#ed over and over without a fair chance to do it back thanks to your teammates. And, after a few rounds, even if your team lost, you had enough rewards to start gearing up.

i think it would. if nothing else it'd be the final straw on the camels back. becuase that would mean that after 5 issues of not doing (literally) anything with/to pvp and 5 issues of completely ignoring your player base, they finally looked at pvp and STILL...didnt' listen to the player base (which is what got them into this entire i13 situation in the first place). if there was a broken/bugged enemy group in pve, the devs wouldn't add more content revolving around that group without fixing the group first. doing so doesn't make any sense and would anger your playerbase which is the exact opposite of what you're trying to accomplish. -

if you're talking for lolfiteklub, then probably, just proc slot everything. the only thing elec really has going for it is the end/recov res for sappers otherwise you might as well go regen. but with all the survival tools scrappers can pick up now, phase, hiber, shadow meld, ect. it doesn't matter all that much.

thanks for the replies guys.
the only reason i asked is because i rolled a km/regen for pvp and it actually does a pretty good amount of damage in pvp (more than focused burst) and is much more procable. yet it is the only power in the set that doesn't provide a PS buff which, to me, doesn't make any sense. -
About repulsing torrent, is there a reason why it doesn't add to power siphon? should it?

Even if CoX had a PvP system that was so elegant and bug free that it made all of us weep with joy, I posit that the nature of zones and the current state of the arena mean that it would be a complete failure.
By contrast, a fun minigame with borked pvp mechanics could be a huge success.
if they want to implement anything new to pvp or pvp related, they've got to fix the mechanics first if they either want it to be successful or to be accepted within the current player base. -
all true, but its just a source to give an idea of what the community was like (atleast how the devs perceived how large/small the community was) and that it wasn't as low as alot of people think. take it as you will.

basically in a nutshell it changed the system to where it made literally no sense to anyone, and then has continued to be completely disregarded by the devs even after the promise they made (see sig). they changed a system to something no one wanted and left it that way not doing anything with it, including any type of bug fixes.

it's pvp, you're *going* to have QQers, but this game is much better because it comes with a nice ignore feature that very few other games have and is, quite frankly, underused. -

No. fighting is pointless, you need hiber, chocking cloud is a useless power, you don't have nearly enough kb, and you didn't proc slot enough.
if you're starting from scratch anyhow, roll an elec/therm -
i'd probably drop leaping for phase. then when i19 hits, get leaping back.

Yall just need to Man-Up and adjust, its a video game YOUR SUPPOSED TO DIE....
as for the new i19 fitness pool inherent.....its a feature that should have started standard that way.......fitness Always should have been an inherent its about TIME.....ofc it will make PvP more diff but ISN THAT WHAT WE WANT? DONT WE BEG FOR A CHALLENGE? PvP aint easy......its just easy to Gank!!!!!
Also to touch down on ppl who use "Phase Shift" lmao u guys r NooBs NOBODY needs Phase.......again ITS A VIDEO GAME YOUR SUPPOSED TO DIE........besides all u really need is invis and some decent run speed if u dont has that then u should expect to die more than not, phase doesnt stop u from being killed.....its just a waste of power wich u coulda used for somthing that WOULD HELP u kill instead of being killed or needing to pop phase in the 1st place XD

if we were all in PvP with 0 enhancments what AT would just be GOD?......NONE because with out enhancments yur toon aint squat......with that said.....different strokes for different folks, ppl build/slot differently SO some r BETTER than others i.e. i can hit u with "Brawl" for 500dmg but u can only hit me for 100dmg why? cuz i slot better XD nothing is OP so stop QQ'ing and maiking the devs tyena fix **** that aint broke YOUR BROKE or u cant MAN-UP and ADJUST -
ironically this is basically what i do with all my costumes now since i could give 2 ***** about costumes. bare undies, a cowboy hat and cat ears. and an animated tail since A) that was basically the only thing that worked when i17 launched and B) WW made it out to be the best thing since sliced bread.
