I don't want to see Kallandra stop posting. I really don't want to see anyone stop posting. This is our home, all of us, and we should have fun while we are here. I like this section, I get insight about things that I have not been exposed to. Then again, I am not offended easily either. Call me what you will and I will most likely agree with you. My wife and I play together as well. She only plays female characters, and always with a skimpy outfit and the chest slider as far right as it will go. I create characters on concept and am comfortable enough with myself to have characters of both genders. Invariably I will get a comment on my female characters. I don't touch the chest slider and most of them are covered much more that what my wife makes. Still I will get the sexy comment from someone and I always respond with a thank you and let them know that my wife thinks so too.
The responses range from a laugh from the other person to outright horror that I would play a character gender that wasn't my own. And like to OP, we often talk in team chat more than we talk out loud even though we are no more than five feet from each other.
I just make note of those that make an issue of it and then don't bother playing with them again. -
Wow, I need to start hanging out in these forums. Bangers and mash, love it. The rest of the foods you are discussing I have no idea about. Time to Google a whole new world of food. Though fried pizza sounds astounding. Now, take some of this Arizona heat away (it was a cool 45.5c today) and trade me some of these food stuffs you are discussing and I will be a happy old man.

This isnt WoW, you can have a borked build and still be able to do stuff. If you feel that the build they have is too borked to be useful dont group with them or ask them to poke around the forums for builds. I had a guy in one of my groups that had three travel powers. I asked him why he needed to get three of them he said it just made traveling easier for him (He had Fly, Super Jump and super speed). I told him he really didnt need three because having that many really wasent all that useful, however since it was PVE content it really didnt effect the outcome of the mission so i didnt really care. I just pointed him to the forum builds after we finished the mission.
Ive also been called a noob for having two travel powers on my stalker (Super jump and super speed) which i use to pvp with. *shrug*

I think the problem you're running into is that the mission is on the other side of the dam in Faultline. There IS a door that will get you to the other side of the dam. If memory serves it is slightly to the left of the center of the dam. To the left of the water pooled under the dam you should find an area with several doors in the wall of the dam. The door that gets you through it is one of those.
Thanx everybody for the suggestions.
I found the doors alright on the left of the pool at the foot of the dam which lead inside the dam itself and you can go out a door to the other side. Problem is that the other side of the dam isn't any closer to the mission objective. I have explored the area near the wall and the extensive excavations and can't find any way in. Next I will try my mission teleporter (when it recharges in an hour or so) though I wanted to find a route to it myself. I'm not far away as the crow flies. This mission is called "Protect Steel Canyon Bank" and I would suppose I'd need specific directions for that mission. The underground parking garage, suggested above, wasn't the right place. -
I know why I am so crabby and argumentative. It was 114 today and I have no AC. That's 45.5 for those across the pond. I need to get that fixed and I will be a bit more mellow.

If it is where I think it is;
From the entrance to the zone, follow the street forward and turn right at the corner/checkpoint. Follow that street into the underground parking structure and it will be at the end of that. -

While I am not stating that there were no server issues, because I was not monitoring them, a team drop cannot confirm it either. If a hop somewhere before the server drops for whatever reason, the team can drop as well. Without an official response stating that there were in fact server issues we can never know exactly what caused it. Things like a trace can help point you in the proper direction but until a red name comes on and says anything we wont know.
Fail is acting as if one has proof without knowing the the entire story and I don't have that information. Can you be right? Sure, but you can easily be wrong as well. Same goes for me. I do agree that flames should be left at the door but that is up to each individual poster. -

Whoa, drop the caffeine? I don't know about that poster but I couldn't live without my 4 24oz diet Rockstars a day. I agree with the rest of it though. I live in AZ and only rarely have issues. I chalk most of it up to a bad hop somewhere and go about my business as best I can. -

You can't hold responsible all the players farming if the game provides the farming tools. There's a reason there are laws in this country that prevent the toy companies from selling a bag a of glass shards as toys. First time a disastrous event happens you can't say "it's not my fault those toddlers were irresponsible with their broken glass".
In the case of AE, the players are part of the problem and the tool (AE) is the other part. The path of least resistance is often taken by most people. This is where the tool needs to be adjusted. In time I believe the devs will be able to even the field and make both paths have similar resistance.
I use AE as a tool as well. I play regular content, run TF's, badge hunt, and play AE content. It is what you make of it and my world is plenty colorful thank you. -

On topic, my first 50 took three months and 500 hours to hit. I played solo to level 30 because I was afraid to team. This is my first and only MMO and I didn't want to anger anyone by my lack of ability. I made a few friends when I hit 50 they were there with me. It felt like I accomplished something.
My 8th 50, not so much. But I do prefer playing my 50's versus other levels. So much more to do at thet level for me. That is where my fun begins now. -

Guns are the problem, not the shooters. The TOOL is the problem, not the players who abuse it. You fix the tool and you have no abuse. If you give people a weapon, a majority will take advantage of it. It is ridiculous to say that the shooters are to blame.
The tool is just that, a tool. You can use it for its intended purpose or you can use it for something entirely different. A lollipop stick is just that, unless you stick it in someones eye, then it is a weapon. It is up to the user of the tool to abuse it, not the tool itself. -
This double-xp weekend was odd for me. Logging in was a little slow but whenever I played, Freedom wasn't grey. I didnt get booted from play, though there were two 5 second mapserves in one session of play. It seemed slower to me than the past times I have participated in it. I did stay away from heroes this time so that might have something to do with it.
