What Bank?

I got a mission from the police radio in Faultline that says to protect a bank in Steel Canyon from robbers. I went to Steel Canyon and found a bank but there was nothing happening there and the doors wouldn't open for me. I went back to Faultline and noticed that there was a direction indicator pointing west. I followed it to the section wall and it indicated that the target location was about 200 yards on the other side of the wall! I looked around for a tunnel or something but couldn't find anything like that. What is going on here?

If it is where I think it is;

From the entrance to the zone, follow the street forward and turn right at the corner/checkpoint. Follow that street into the underground parking structure and it will be at the end of that.

Badging in a PvP zone?

If you are treasure hunting on a battlefield wearing an enemy uniform, there is a high probability that you will be attacked.

The bank missions aren't always in the zone they take place in - for example, you were doing radio missions in Faultline, so you'll need to find the police van in Faultline that will take you to a map of the area around the Steel Canyon bank - you don't have to actually go to Steel Canyon itself.

The direction arrow you found in Faultline will point you to the palce where you will enter the special Steel Canyon bank map.
If there's no visible door or van, then that means it will be in a tunnel or underground garage, so you'll need to look for a road that leads downwards.

Also, welcome to the new forums

This is what happens when people jump straight into the AE instead of doing regular content and learning basic game mechanics like how to get to mission entrances.

Actually, apart from Skyway City, Faultline is the first place a new player would run into hidden mission doors.

You mean they no longer have mission entrances in the woods in Perez Park?

Not underground, no - you just follow the arrow, and once the yards count down to 0, you'll be right in front of the door.
In Faultline, you can follow the arrow to 0 yards and be standing out in the open with no visible doors near you.

That technique doesn't always work in Perez. You can easily miss the path you were supposed to take while watching the yards count down and find yourself staring at an wall of trees that you can't go around or jump over. Not everyone has the vidiotmaps patch that reveals the maze under the trees.

The maze in Perez can be considered underground because there is no way to get under the canopy of treetops except at certain locations where theres an entrance so flyers are forced to travel under the treetops.

It's still not exactly a much visited zone
The chances are still pretty high that the first unusal mission door a new player will encounter will be in Faultline.

I'm not claiming Perez is frequently visited. I personally love Perez, and Faultline but absolutely hate The Hollows and Skyway and I'll go out of my way to avoid those two zones.

My original intention was to just add that there was a lower level zone than the two you mentioned that had mission entrances that were hard to get to.

But still not properly underground
Plus, Faultline also thows in the fun of trying to work out how to get to the other side of the dam

Don't forget the joy you feel when you find out the mission entrance your trying to get to is actually in the ruins of the SG base and you have to backtrack to one of the two SG entrances.

Actually, there is one. At the north end of the zone, there is a sewer entrance under the street. To get to it, you have to go over the wall. drop down, and go back north underground. Still not as hard to spot as the ones in Brickstown, Skyway, and Faultline, though.

Hidden doors and the Perez maze are reasons I REALLY enjoy my Mission Teleporter power!

Utter nonsense. We had questions EXACTLY like the OP before AE even existed.

Yep. It's not an AE thing. That's a bit out of line...

And they also removed a lot of the deep placed maze doors in perez from rotation a while back. You still get a couple but they're of the relatively easy to find variety.

The deeper ones seem to be when you're higher level now - so you'l either have a travel power, or the Ouroboros Portal if it all gets too much for you
