  1. I would love to get vehicles in game i seem to recall it being described as difficult to implement but same was said for power customization.

    As for what i would add:

    .a MASSIVE base overhaul (removal of pathing was nice but bases still feel like its a beta test)

    .Character moods which affect the way they walk run sit etc (we'd actually have to have the walk power for that to work)

    .give us a walk power i know there's issues with leg length etc but surely if they figured out power customization walk wouldn't be a huge undertaking (You can have hot pink imps but ya still gotta run everywhere)

    .Add badges for 300, 400, 500 and 600 badge milestone (i mean the 200 badge milestone can be gotten without breaking a sweat now)

    .and the rest- quite a few new TFs new ATs (personally a hybrid melee/ranged/defense toon would be a dream come true)
    New cossie pieces, updated textures on some of the older pieces to bring em in line with the newer stuff

    think thats about it off the top of my head

    I always Like the idea of more GMs and zone events they just feel more hero-esque than a lot of the instanced missions
    but it could be dangerous to new players who either skip the tutorial or blitz their way through it (think i did that when i started)

    But for the most part despite a few kinks it could be workable

  5. I had actually intended to refine it more before i posted it but at 3 o clock in the morning i got a lil frustrated

    i'm working on additions at the moment which is turning out nicely should have it finished in a day or 2

    oh and btw ya it was the first one i was happy enough with
  6. I was playing with the idea of creating a vehicle for my character orius and settled on a hover-van type of model with custom weaponry etc. model created with googlesketch van itself is all my work and wepons are modified user created ones from googles item DB,

    Frequently suggested but nevertheless something id love to see in the game, i even had a brief idea recently to conceptually fit it in, the areas between war walls be zoned for superhero residence, pff probably plenty reasons why it couldnt work but with the recent GR teaser i have my fingers crossed for some base love so houses may be on the cards

    oh and for people who say "IT will never happen" that response was common to threads suggesting side-switching not too long ago

    ya it would be great or else once an SG/VG has its members inactive for a certain period of time they get kicked from top 100

    oh well lets hope for base/SG love in GR
  9. I'd agree with forsaken being in top 100 doesn't really offer much i have enough prestige to build a great base in my SG and i've even started a new SG for the hell of it and because its kinda linked to my GR concepts,

    and iirc last time i looked at top 100 (it was a while ago) isn't there alot of dead SG/VGs in there?

  11. awww sorry to hear about that, i remember i thought ours dissapeared once but all it was was a little lag in the laoding so for a second i was standing in an empty grid but 3 weeks is horrible especially for you guys


    btw roughly how many deco items do you have (i want to make sure i dont approach that limit)

  13. interesting idea ...but any character with shields would be in trouble
  14. with the removal of pathing you could try floating some light sources inside the flier to light it up without being able to see them

    you could use spotlights for aesthetics then (i often do something like this because i'm not a fan of room lighting)

    Duo advice?

    Basically a SG mate and me made a villain conceptual duo and pacted them we made a fire/shields brute and a Fire dark corr
    now we decided to do the same on heros but i'm having trouble coming up with a good duo that would compliment each other well, as for the concept anything that would fit science or tech would be great, oh and no tanks so any advice or suggestions would be great thanks

    Oh btw liz the "slow field" defence item can be floated and it gives a pretty decent liquid surface look

    [/ QUOTE ] I think you're misreading the interview slightly. When Positron mentions next year, he's talking about when I13 WOULD have been released if the Mission Architect had been kept in the issue.

    This is the part which mentions dates:

    We had always wanted to do this, but the development time needed to accomplish this would have pushed the entire Issue 13 into 2009, which we didn't want to do. In the end we took everything else that was in Issue 13 (and added a few new features) and are releasing that this Fall, and in early 2009 we will release an issue devoted to Mission Architect, complete with "customize the boss" and other features that the players felt so passionate about.

    just re-read my post and i was referring to the release of I14, which is supposedly releasing in Q1 but my guesses are MA will be the main feature with more base stuff and smaller QoL issues addressed

    ummm nope its already confirmed that it wont go live before thanksgiving (which is thursday) so earliest it'll go live is more than likely 2nd of Dec
  20. Cool nice to see this is goin to be implemented....even though i already have my base ready to be stripped down to just an entrance room but then again i would have done that anyway for the new base i'm planning but its nice for all the ppl that didn't want to sell everything

    I'd love it from a concept point of view and i'm sure alot of RPers would also like it. I'm sure some shady guys could get past lord recluse's security measures and sell you temp guns/weapons (maybe unlocked with a short story arc)

    and in paragon the PPD could offer a story arc to earn a "guns liscence" and then you could buy the same stuff there aswell

    I14 ideas?

    I like the sound of most of the ideas so far (especially the historic ouroboros mishes)

    as for my ideas:

    Bases :
    -Lots of new items for the editor incl. ingame items and completely new stuff (the pocket D items especially)
    -Base NPCs, after looking on test and coming up with our new base concept we practically need these (surely a part of mission architect could be ported to base customisations)

    I think I13 is a step in the right direction for bases but hopefully I14 and I15 will have more. although i think i recall I15 being rumoured to be about the coming storm (finnally!)

    server merge = Just NO

    And the ususal aswell (more powersets,IOs,TFs,zones and going rogue/redemption features)

Seems the Devs should have really done an update on the permissions system before doing this, i mean now most actively recruiting SGs will have to make the permissions a little over the top. personally i'm considering not bothering with salvage racks (except for the personal salvage vault) in our new base until a new permission system is implemented

    I decided to plan ahead and i spent today crafting a large variety of items for the new base so i can avoid crafting with invention salvage for as long as possible, now if you'll excuse me i'll go back to trying to figure out what other themed rooms to put into our new 24x24 plot :P
  24. hmmm i like this , from a concept point of view the trains dont make sense really, my only change would be make it higher than lvl 30 but other than that
