    Is This New?

    Technically any mission that involves time travel should unlock it I think. I'm not necessarily familiar with which those are, although wikipedia would probably tell us. ^_^

    Down on the list of things that will grant it is "Complete Holsten Armitage's mission: Rescue Senator Dybalski"

    As an aside, they really should look at the merit rewards for this TF. I've thought 9 merits was a marginal reward for the TF as it currently existed, but then in I19 I think they changed the 2nd mission to an escort out rather than just a free the captive... this does not make the mission more challenging or more interesting, it just makes it more tedious (and Amy has trouble navigating the tunnels to boot). Plus on the last run I did Mary went nuts, which seems to happen at least half the time anymore, so you have 10 AVs to defeat, a non-stealthable hostage escort on a very large cavern map, a small defeat all mission, and a final mission that is technically stealthable but often turns into a massive melee-fest anyway.

    All for 9 merits, and a hat, and the Amy power (which I admit is nice to have). But I'd like a couple of more merits at least. Nobody I know likes running this TF anymore.
  4. Technically my thread titled "Lazy Marketeer's Journal" is a complete lie. THIS is lazy marketeering in action. ^_^

    And I completely agree with you: good recipes will always sell well; there are too many people trying to buy them. I make most of my money by buying up marginal recipes cheap and selling the crafted versions for a profit. Probably bought a few from you in the last two weeks. ^_^
  5. Bought my Fury of the Gladiator proc this morning for 921 million. ^_^ A nice thing about keeping around 700 million per marketeer is that I can bleed off 200 million from five of them and instantly have a billion to throw around!
  6. Martial Arts, hands down. I leveled an MA/Invulnerable scrapper to 50. Then I leveled 3 different MA/Willpower scrappers to 50. Really! And two of them are my most played characters.

    I even leveled an MA/WP stalker to 35, and I plan to eventually get to 50, and let me tell you, MA on a stalker is kind of sad. No leg sweep! But generally speaking, MA is just a ton of fun to play, based not on damage or anything but based on the animations.

    Trapdoor

    I've solo'd him for every 50 I have, which is something like 20 now (about half are scrappers). Although I admit in two instances I duo'd him -- but that mostly meant that a defender on one account stood around while a scrapper on the other account solo'd him.

    I really did try to duo him with my illusion/rad troller and my broadsword/shield scrapper, and it was a highly messy and annoying experience, but I managed to do it.

    But I've never actually teamed with another player to take him out.

    As an aside: last Saturday I made it my mission to make sure every one of my 50s on Virtue had the alpha slot unlocked. This meant finishing the arc on two defenders (they had already taken care of Trapdoor back when he was easier I think), doing the whole thing on the troller, and running two shield scrappers through it as well. I did all that on Saturday, and then all of my Virtue 50's had their alpha slot.

    Then on Saturday evening and Sunday morning I played another defender who was 47, and got to 49, so I joined an ITF and hit level 50 on Task Force completion. And then I decided to take my level 49 dual pistol/devices blaster and finally get them to 50. And then I spent the rest of the week levelling my night widow, from about 44 to 50 by Saturday morning. I ran the widow through the arc and opened up the alpha slot right away, but I still need to do it on my other two characters. I think I'm going to try to solo it on my defender -- dark/arrow, I think I can manage it. And of course the blaster can solo it.
  8. Makes perfect sense. I can get that in a few days at most.

    I'm glad I've got smart people to figure things like this out for me. ^_^ One of the reasons I go to a build like Top Doc's in the first place is that most of these things are already figured out. I enjoy top end builds, but I don't really get into the numbers overly much. Builds that I create on my own tend to accomplish what I want, but could all probably be improved... heh.
  9. Oh, so you want me to spend even more money?

    Yeah, okay, maybe that's next week's project.

    (Have no idea what that would cost atm, but sounds like a good idea.)
  10. I don't have one.

    I put up my flag and find something to do solo. When someone asks, "Do you want to join a mission team?" I say yes. When someone broadcasts, "Citadel TF starting up!" I send a tell saying I'd like to join. I never felt the need to advertise or beg. ^_^

    I have no problem with there being shinies in a game that are very, very time consuming to get, particularly if they are generally only marginally better than alternatives (and often not even that). I also don't want the devs following the market to decide how difficult things should be to get, such as in the case of the junk PvP recipies.

    The Steadfast Protection +3% is better than the Gladiator's Armor +3% because it also enhances the power. But I see no real problem with it being common as dirt and the Gladiator's Armor being ultra rare and influence-cap-busting expensive. Both things can comfortably exist in the same game.
    Werner gets it.
  12. Now for the answer to a question you might not have actually asked, "What does all of this marketeering get me?"

    In my case, it gets me this:

    This is Miss Shinobu, my Night Widow. As of a few hours ago she's level 50 and has a nearly complete build. It's a very expensive build, based on Top Doc's High End Night Widow build guide.

    I still have a bid out on an Apocalypse Acc/Rech, but it's a good bid and should fill in a couple of days. I've already opened up my alpha slot as well. I spent 300 million a piece on the 4 Cytoskeleton Exposures because I didn't want to wait. I paid BUY IT NAO prices!

    And what does all that accomplish?

    Well, supposedly this is a build that can solo AVs and Pylons. What I've learned so far is what you always learn from an all-defense build: you can be awesome, or you can be suddenly dead. In order to hit 50 this morning I ran the Mender Silos Task Force set for +2 and 8 people (no AVs, just EBs). I found that I was using a lot of inspirations and having to heal myself a lot, but I managed to never die even when swamped with enemies. I came close several times -- Nosferatu died off, but Burk held out and we cleared the map together.

    The big difference between level 49 and level 50 is that there's no gap when Mind Link is down -- I can fire it again before it wears off, whereas at level 49 without all of those nice purples there was always several seconds where my defense dropped from above 50% fo about 37% percent (I usually watch melee defense -- ranged and aoe defense are just slightly lower). Also, at level 50 with the Hami-O's my defensive numbers are several points higher.

    With no powers on:

    With all of my toggles on:

    (As you can see, at level 50 my melee defense is over 45% even without Mind Link.)

    With Mind Link up (which is perma as long as I don't forget to click it):

    On teams with other SoA's, or shield scrappers/brutes/tanks with grant cover, or support toons with Leadership/Manuevers, my defense can climb up in the 80% to 90% range. ^_^ And yet I still get hit, of course. Just not a lot. But on a widow, those few hits can hurt!

    An annoying downside to being a softcapped Widow is that you don't create aggro, so when enemies can't hit you they often decide to run away. My entire fight with Nosferatu consisted of me chasing him all over the map trying to hit him. :P

    Another aside: I ran a Manticore TF last night. As the first missions started, our brute realized there were no other brutes or tanks on the team. "Oh man, you mean I have to be the main tank?" he complained. "They're only crey," I said. After all, with my defense I could take the alphas if I wanted -- I just couldn't hold aggro. "But I'm just a level 30 fire brute," he replied.

    After a few groups, he said, "I don't seem to be as squishy as normal." Heh. Not only did he have defensive buffs from me, but also from two shield scrappers and a troller with Manuevers. By the 2nd mission, he was running ahead of the team to herd full rooms and bring them back to us!

    I ran the Trapdoor mission still set at +2/8 people. I tried to stealth it, but in a crowded cavern bane spiders can see you run past them. So I had more wading through crowds of enemies and frantically healing myself and chewing inspirations -- and I still managed to not die, although it was close several times.

    After that I reset to +0/1 person, and I basically ignored the rikti in the next mission and just went after the AVs. Pretty easy. ^_^

    Anyway this has been my big project for the last 2-3 weeks. Started playing my Night Widow again about March 7th, at level 27, and started putting in bids for all of those purple IOs. Three weeks to an awesome build!

    I think at some point in the future I'd like to work out another top-end build, and then start at level 1 and, without PLing or borrowing money from any of my other toons, see if I can get to 50 and complete the build in a month. Realistically it couldn't be a build like this one, full of purples and hami-O's. I had to use all of my marketeers to come up with the money, and in the end I grabbed another 1.5 billion from various toons to finish off the build. But a non-purpled but very expensive build, I think you could manage it on your own in a month or maybe 6 weeks. ^_^

    Money: 770 million

    7 items sold: Scirocco's Dervish dam/rech 2 for 14 million, 5 for 15 million.
    3 more haven't sold yet, so I'm priced a bit high I guess.

    In the buy box I have 20 more dam/rech recipes, and also 10x Scirocco's Dervish triples and 10x Scirocco's Dervish dam/end, along with the 10 Plat and 10 Photonic Weapons needed to craft those.

    I craft 10x Scirocco's Dervish acc/dam/end and list them for 7.1 million each. I craft 10x Scirocco's Dervish dam/end and list 2 of them for 17.1 million each. I also craft a backup radio, a recovery serum, and an Obliteration acc/dam/rech level 50, all drops from the last task force I was on.
    when I'm done I mail off 125 million to my purple my Widow fund.

    Money: 898 million

    10 items sold: Mako's Bite acc/dam/end/rech, 2 for 12 million, 2 for 13 million, 2 for 10 million, 4 for 9 million.

    I have 10x Mako's Bite dam/rech purchased (12,000 each), along with the 10x Magical Comspiracy (3.1 mil each) and 10x Thorn Tree Vine (12,000 each). I also have 10x Mako's Bite acc/dam/end/rech bought at 5,000 each, and 1 Mako's Bite acc/end/rech bought at 2,000, with 9 more of those bidding. That's a pretty lowball bid apparently, but I can afford to let it ride for another week or whatever.

    I craft and list 10 Mako's Bite dam/rech for 6.2 million each. I bid on 10x Pangean Soil at 2.1 million each. This is significangly lower than any of the last 5, but is still an instant buy for all 10. Ugh. Well, in that case, I can craft the quads and list a couple of them too.

    I craft them and list 3 at 8.1 million each. I also place a bid on 10x Mako's Chance for Lethal Damage at 2,000 each; it seems to sell better and has fewer for sale than anything else in the set. I know it's a popular proc in some ways. Of course, that will require twice the rare salvage, but the profit margin still looks pretty good.

    I earned the Peddler badge.

    I have a crafted Thunderstrike dam/end/rech level 50 that I list for 3.1 million
    I have 10 Touch of Death acc/dam/end that I paid 1.8 million for (really? Doh, that was a while ago I think; they're selling for less than 2,000 inf now), 10 Deific Weapons bought for 3 million and 10 Steel bought for 75,000. Well, I can craft this stuff anyway.

    List 7 of them for 9.1 million each. Place a bid on 10x ToD dam/rech for 601,000 each. It looks like the dam/end are selling for the best in the set, but recipes are going for 8 million at the moment.

    I e-mail 300 million influence off to my purple my Widow fund.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Things I have done with my money in the last month:
    1. Dontated 700 million to the Crazy 88's
    2. Traded 1 billion to a friend
    3. Placed bids on dozens of level 30-33 Kinetic Combat and Obliteration IOs, and a few Luck of the Gambler +7.5% defense IOs as well.
    4. Spent hundreds of millions on a new dark melee/willpower scrapper, Scrapper Girl One, who is currently level 35 with a build that includes 5 Kinetic Cobat sets (4 already slotted), 2 Obliteration sets (already slotted), a Numina's unique (slotted), two sets of Reactive Armor (partially slotted), eventually 3 Performance Shifer procs (2 are slotted now), a Celerity Stealth IO (slotted). Typical build for my willpower scrappers, based off a build I found on the forums. Character has 179 million influence, 9 merits and 2 hero merits.
    5. Spent hundreds of millions on a new dark melee/dark armor brute, Mina Evangeline, who is currently level 29 and has a working build that includes 3 sets of Kinetic Combat slotted, and working on slotting 2 sets of Obliteration and 2 sets of Reactive Armor... also has a Celerity Stealth slotted and a Miracle unique slotted, but build is a work in progress with a lot of generic IOs so far. Character has 479 million influence on hand, 66 merits, 1 hero merit, and 3514 tickets ready to roll at level 30. I like to roll as many tickets and merits as I can in the level 30-33 range.
    6. Spent well over a billion so far on a new night widow, Miss Shinobu, who is currently level 33 (nearly 34, should hit 35 today easily). While I don't have a very fancy build so far -- 4 sets of Crushing Impact, 2 sets of Red Fortune, one Luck of the Gambler +7.5% slotted so far, the usual Steafast Protection +3% def IO that nearly every build of mine carriers, but that's nearly it so far -- I am planning on several purple sets when I hit 50. To date I've purchased a Hectacomb dam/rech/acc and Hectacomb dam/end, and I now have 872 million more to play with, so I place bids on Hectacomb dam/rech and rech/acc. (dam/rech purchase goes through 20 minutes later!)
    I guess I'm averaging nearly 400 million per Hectacomb piece, so that's about 1.6 billion invested in just the first four purple IOs. This build is based on TopDoc's AV/Pylon killer build, and will require 4 purple sets (20 pieces), all the damage sets, so I'm less than 1/4 of the way to buying that. ^_^ But I've only been working at it a week.
    I also have bids in on a Performance Shifter proc and a Luck of the Gambler 7.5% IO, level 30-33, about 150 million more tied up there.
    In the past few days with the charcter I've also rolled on thousands of tickets and two hero merit rolls, and have 50 merits to convert and roll still. So far the hero merit rolls have been less than stellar.
    All told, I may have spent more than 5 billion this month. ^_^
    Anyway, that's how I spend my money -- I don't heavily IO one or two characters, I try to IO out every charcter of mine in the way that I think will make them most effective. I think my future goal is to invest in my bases on the various servers I have toons on -- not only Virtue and Freedom, but Justice, Victory, and Infinity at least. A billion or two for each base would allow me to set up fully functional bases on each server.
    17 item sold: Aegis Resist 5 for 30 million, 2 for 25 million, 1 for 21 million, 1 for 22 million, 1 for 20,100,000 (my list price ) Reactive Armor Resistance/Endurance/Recharge 6 for 40 million and 1 for 35 million.
    Money after collecting sales: 972 million. Ah, that feels good!
    I have 3 more Reactive Armors to craft, but nothing else after that so I need to put in some bids.
    I bid on 10x Aegis Resistance at 10,111,112 each and 10x Reactive Armor end/rech/res at 18.5 million each. The Reactive Armor market is one that takes money to buy into -- there's 185 million in that 10 stack bid there -- but they cost next to nothing to craft (uncommon recipes, no rare salvage) so when they sell for 40 million it's more than doubling your investment. Not bad. ^_^
    I list my 3 Reactive Armor triples at 36 million. Some of the recent sales were for as much as 70 million, and only 36 are for sale. It's a seller's market.
    16 items sold: Scirocco's Dervish acc/dam/end 4 at 10 mil each; Scirocco's Dervish acc/dam 7 at 16 million, 1 at 15.5 million, 2 at 19 million. Numina's Convalescence end/rech for 12 million. Thunderstrike dam/end/rech for 4,133,700.
    Money after collecting all of that: 1,074 million
    I have nothing purchased, nothing bidding, nothing for sale. I think I've convinced myself that i need to work the Reactive Armor market more though. All the IOs with resist sell for 30-40 million crafted, and recipes buy for 18.5 mil to 22.5 mil. And there are always people buying them and never too many for sale.
    I place a bid for 10 Reactive Armor rech/res at 18.5 mil each.
    I've also noticed that I have zero Numina's Heal IOs in my base. These are useful to have around, so I place a bid for 5 level 32 IOs at 21 mil each.
    Since I only have a bid on 10 recipes for crafting and selling, I place another bid on 10 Scirocco's Dervish acc/dam at 3.1 mil each.
    10 items sold: Devastation acc/dam/rech all for 8 million each.
    I have purchased 10 Diamonds and 10 Unquenchable Flames. Unfortunately I have failed to purchase the 10 Devastation triples that they would allow me to craft. A bid of 601,000 was too low apparently.
    I rebid at 901,000. I don't want to bid too high, there's not a huge profit margin on these. Although I should get more than 8 million per crafted.
    I also bid on 10 Devastation acc/dam at 601,000 each
    I have nothing for sale. But then, hey -- I have over 6,000 tickets untapped. Hmmmm....
    4 Silver Rolls 35-39: Touch of Lady Grey proc, Touch of Death proc, Dark Watcher's Despair proc, Gift of the Ancients def/rech. Bleh, kinda wasting my time with silver rolls.
    Bronze rolls 35-39 yields (ignoring all the junk): Serendipity def/rech, Gift of the Ancients def/end, Touch of Lady Grey proc (again, for a lot less tickets this time), Reactive Armor end/rech (not one of the good ones darn), Mako's Bite acc/dam, Decimation dam/end, Smashing Haymaker dam/rech, Guassian's Synchronized Fire-Control to hit buff/rech, Doctored Wounds recharge, Thunderstrike acc/dam/end x2, Efficacy Adaptor end mod/rech, smashing Haymaker dam/end/rech. 2 bronze rolls at level 10-14 yields: Basilisk Gaze acc/hold and Call to Arms dam/end. I'm happy to craft all of those. Well, mostly happy.
    I list: Basilisk's Gaze acc/hold for 31 million, Decimation dam/end for 20.1 million, Guassian's to hit buff/rech for 18.1 million, Doctored Wounds Recharge for 4.1 million (sells immediately for 5 -- that was the last 5 price, and there were 278 for sale, so I'm happy with that result By the way, unlike some heals where the pieces without a heal bonus are less valuable, Doctored Wounds: Recharge, is a popular piece. People that use Doctored Wounds are usually 5 slotting for the +5% recharge bonus -- for example, regen scrappers -- and having extra recharge in their clickable heals is a GOOD thing).
    Efficacy ADaptor end mod/rech listed for 4.1 mil; Gift of the Ancients defense/end listed for 17.1 mil, Gift of the Ancients defense/rech listed for 14.1 mil. Touch of death Negative Energy proc listed for 18.1 million. Call to Arms dam/end listed for 21 million. Mako's Bite acc/dam listed for 5.1 million.
    That leaves me with 5 crafted IOs to list later, and some junkier recipes to craft later. I decided to blow the rest of my tickets on 10-14 bronze rolls, but only come up with a few marginal IOs -- Triage end/hal, Triage heal/rech, discouraging Words to hit debuff/rech/end and Stagger acc/rech, and tons of junk that I delete immediately.
I've been reluctant to pull them and relist, but I need more slots free. I decide to relist 3 of them at 16.1 million each.
  15. And I'll be running the WTF on my widow with a butt-cape, who's gonna stop me?
  16. I did stop writing stuff down last weekend, but I'm posting 2 weeks after so I have another week to go I guess. ^_^ Glad to know some people find it interesting to read. Writing it down certainly increased the amount of time I was marketing by a factor of 2 or 3 -- normally I can check several characters in half an hour or so and be on my merry way.
    I've been focusing on my night widow for the last three weeks. As of last night, I was 3 bubbles from level 48. I have purchased 5 Hectacomb, 5 Armageddon, 5 Ragnarok and 2 Apocalypse (including the triple, the most expensive piece). Just 3 more pieces to go! Plus a few hami-Os I think too.
    We ran a Faathim the Kind TF a couple of days ago and I got a Ragnarok proc drop. Very nice, made other people jealous, but I also know from just having bought one that it's one of the cheapest of all the purple damage set pieces. ^_^ I think I picked up the other one for about 32 million.
  17. I have a similar view on my dark defenders/corrs/MMs -- if you're near me, you get healed. If you're not near me, you're on your own.
  18. Organica
    Ok,
    What this boils down to is the game designers say "purple IOs should be ultra-rare, and PvP IOs even rarer." At least, in terms of how they set the a-merit purchases. Before they instituted a-merits, these IOs could not be purchased except from other players. And PvP IOs are largely rare due to how few people actually PvP, but the people in charge seem okay with keeping things that way -- or at least, not providing a method of purchasing them that is significantly easier.
    But your argument is "they should be much easier to get". And the only real answer to that is that the people in charge don't agree.
  19. Right now I'm working hard at making money to purple my night widow, and I'm pulling in about 500-600 million a day.
    Technically I'm not really trying to make money with Earthsinger. I'm crafting generic IOs in order to eventually craft 1,000, which will get me my Field Crafter badge. But this is a toon that I started out with just a couple of million and built up to my current level by crafting generics and working on field crafter -- if you do it slowly but steadily, you can make money while earning the badge.
    Unfortunately, I haven't been paying attention to this character much the last couple of months. I have nothing for sale, nothing bidded on, nothing purchased. I put in bids for masterwork weapons and iron to craft mid level damage IOs, and that's it.
    Well, sort of. I need 10 runes and 8 circuit boards to craft the Reactiv Armors.
    The Reactive Armor triples are selling for up to 40 million, with only 12 for sale. Ah, cool, I DID know what I was doing! I'm able to craft 2 and list them at 27.1 million each.
    Aegist Resist, on the other hand, has been selling for as much as 30 million but as low as 11 million, with 87 for sale. The price seems very soft, but I list 10 of them at 20.1 million anyway.
    Still waiting on most of my circuit boards and runes to purchase.
    Let's see... Sailor Shinobu has 19 incarnate shards, an ancient nictus fragment, and... no alpha slotted yet. Do I even remember what I was going to do? Meh.
    Cardiac sounds good... endurance reduction, and added resists. Sailor Shinobu is Invulnerable with softcapped smashing/lethal, upping my other resists would probably help a lot, and the set has always been toggle and endurance heavy. So now my tank is alpha slotted and halfway to a tier 2.
    I finally craft 5 more Reactive Armors and list those for 27.1 mil each as well.
    6 items sold: Mako's Bite quad, all 6 for 15 million each.
    I have a lot of 10-stacks of Mako's Bite recipes, and all the salvage to craft 10 dam/end, plus also rare and uncommon salvage needed for the acc/end/rech. I think I can craft all 20 recipes then.
    Last 5 on Mako's dam/end includes 4 sales at 10 million. There are 100 for sale, but 118 bidding. I think I can list pretty high on these. I list one at 8.1 million and it does not sell immediately, so that seems like a good price. I list the other nine for the same.
    I place a bid for 10 Pangean Soil at 2.6 mil each so I'll be able to craft next time, then list four of the Mako's triples at 6.1 million each. More of those for sale, fewer bidders, price seems soft, but probably 6.1 mil will still sell.
    Gift of the Ancients: Defense (level 40) 45 people bidding, 94 for sale, none of the last 5 sales are for over 20 million, although obviously I know they DO sell for more than that. But my chances of selling at 46 million anytime soon are slim and none. I decide to pull those six down and relist them -- for 20.1 million each.     I have nothing else bought. I have lowball bids out on Luck of the Gambler: Defense at level 32 and 31, and Luck of the Gambler 7.5% recharge speed level 31 as well. Bidding on 10 recipes total, about 250 million tied up in those bids. While I'm at it, I decide to place two more lowball 7.5% global recharge bids at level 29 and 32, and adjust my other bid upwards slightly. I also place a bid for LotG Defense level 30, 3 at just over 16 million each. There aren't enough people bidding there, and the last sale was for less than 16 mil.
    Finally I bid on 10 more Gift of the Ancient: Defense recipes at 2 million a piece, and 10 Soul Trapped Gems at 2.3 million each.
    Money: 527 million
    13 items sold: Decimation acc/end/rech 2 for 20 million, 1 for 19 million, 2 for 22 million, 1 for 21 million, 2 for 20,100,000 each, 2 for 25,555,555 each. Decimation acc/dam/rech 1 for 22,222,222 and 2 for 20 million.
    I have six Decimation acc/dam/rech for sale still. Four of those are listed for 17.1 million, two are listed for 21.1 million. I have nothing else bought or ready to craft or list.
    I place bids: 10x Decimation acc/end/rech at 175,000 each (one of last 5 sales is below that); 10x Decimation acc/dam/rech at 1.6 million each; 10x Decimation dam/rech at 601,000 each, and 10x Decimation dam/end at 601,000 each. Prices on these seem to be falling across the board, with literally hundreds of recipes for sale; only the accuracy/damage recipes are in short supply and selling for lots of money which is as per usual but is kind of weird since they're uncommon and not rare recipes. But it's always been like that, people love accuracy and damage first and foremost.
    13 items sold: Scirocco's Dervish dam/rech 8 for 15 million each, 1 for 13 million, 2 for 14 million, 1 for 14,044,444, 1 for 14,111,111
    I have 7 more of these crafted and ready to list. More importantly, I think I've found the toon with cash to lend to my new brute. After collecting sales I'm at 1,070 million.
    I list the seven dam/rech for 10.1 million each. Last 5 does not indicate that this is a good price but I know it is, and there's less than 50 for sale.
    There are 144 Scirocco's Dervish dam/rech level 50 Ios for sale, with no bidders. I bid for 20 at 500 inf each, buy four immediately.
    I have 10 Scirocco's dam/end recipes purchased, and 10 acc/dam purchased. I place a bid for 10 Synthetic Intelligence Units at 2.7 million each so I can craft the acc/dam recipe next time.
    I mail off 300 million to my brute.
    15 items sold: Performance Shifter end mod/acc 4 for 11,111,111; 2 for 11,500,000; 3 for 12 million; 3 for 15 million; 1 for 16,666,666 and 1 for 18 million. 1 Red Fortune: Endurance for 4 million.
    I have two Performance Shifter end mod/acc IOs to sell. I list them for 10.1 mil each.
    One of them sells for 15 million while I'm talking to my friend.
    I had a question for my friend -- who has been in Hero Force since returning to the game, and more recently is playing with American Legion I think it is, but back in the old days was in a SG called Cold Front Reserves. My personal SG has been coalied with CFR for years, and I know that nobody has used their base in years, base rent has not been paid in a long time. So I was suggesting to my friend that if he still had access to the base, it could possibly be sold for good money. ^_^
    I have 20 more recipes of the same purchased, and salvage to craft four of them plus 10 more of the rare salvage required. (I also have 10 Performance Shifter end mod/rech recipes in my tray.) I craft 20 end mod/acc and list most of them for 10.1 million each. Another sells for 15 million while I'm doing this.
    Shipped off another 300 million to my brute.
    Money: 537 million
    14 items sold: Efficacy Adaptor end mod/accuracy: 1 for 4,500,001; 10 for 4 million; 3 for 5 million.
    Purchased: 10x Efficacy Adaptor End Mod (555,555); 10x Efficacy Adaptor end mod/rech (401,000); 10x Perfomance SHifter end mod/acc (320,000); 10x Synthetic Intelligence Unit (2.8 mil).
    I should be able to grab the other salvage for the Performance Shifters and lsit those. Actually I can buy the salvage for one of the other recipes and list those too, it's all cheap level 50 common and uncommon salvage.
    10x Ceramic Armor Plate at 500: fills instantly. 10x Chaos Theorum at 1,000: fills instantly. 10x Nevermelting Ice at 1,000: 1 instant buy only, but I'm the only bidder. I wait, and actually it fills before I'm done typing this. ^_^
    I bid on 8x Thorn Tree Vine (have 2 on me) at 12,000 influence; no insta-bids, but I need to go craft the Performance Shifters first anyway.
    By the time I'm back from crafting I've only bought 3 Thorn Tree Vines, and people are buying at higher prices. I rebid at 51,000, which still does not result in any insta-bids. I buy the other salvage for the Efficacy Adaptor end mod quickly -- ruby and silver, easy to get. Still no more Thorn Tree Vines.
    But I'm dual-box marketing at the moment so I can wait.
    Eventually I list 10 Performance Shifters end mod/acc at 10.1 mil each, and 8 Efficacy Adaptor end mod at 3.6 mil each
    (I have this character up on my other account on my laptop while Valentine Candy is on my main computer. Heh.)
    9 items sold: Devastation acc/dam/rech, 8 for 7 million and 1 for 6 million.
    I have 10 more DEvastation acc/dam/rech recipes bought, and 10 Diamonds and 10 Unquenchable Flames. Once again I just need Ceramic Armor Plate and Nevermelting Ice, easy peasy. I buy the Nevermelting Ice at 2,000 inf, plates at 500 again. Hardest part is getting to my base and waiting to load in on my crummy laptop, but then, I have my Thorn Tree Vines bought so I can swap to Valentine Candy to finish up there.
    /em sings: Let's all hang out at my base!
    By the way, because of that base sale up in the Base Building section of the boards, I got curious what my own private bases are worth. My biggest one is on Virtue, and it turns out that I'm still shy of 9 million prestige, which really is a pretty good base. My base on Freedom that I inherited is actually worth only something over 3 million prestige. I have a VG base on Virtue, and SG bases on Victory and Justice and one or two other servers, that are not even fully-operating bases. It's occurred to me that I could BUY 4 million prestige for a new base pretty easily, and that would be better than the base with the stupid name that I've been holding onto on Freedom for years. I could get my other bases up and running in short order, if only enough to have the med bay, teleports, and salvage storage. Y'know?
    List ten Devestation acc/dam/rech for 6.2 million each.
    Buy 10 more recipes at 601,000 (hoping that works, nothing in last 5 indicates I can buy that low but only 49 bidding). Diamonds 10 at 2.6 mil, Unquenchable Flame 10 at 2,000.
    Oh good, I was looking for someone to borrow money from for another alt build. I'm working on my 27 widow this morning. ^_^
    4 items sold: Titanium Coating Resistance for 6 million, Impervious Sking resistance/rech for 12 million, Aegis Resist/end/rech for 8 million, Red Fortune Defense for 4 million.
    Unsold: 14 Scirocco's Dervish IOs. I'm overpriced. But it's only been 3 days.
    I have two more IOs to list: Numina's Convalescense end/rech, I list for 7.1 mil, and Thunderstrike dam/end/rech which I list for 3.1 mil.
    I decide not to bid on anything else since I have 16 IOs for sale and am not sure when they'll sell. I transfer 300 million to my widow alt.
    I have 4 more Touch of Death crafted, list those at 11,100,000. Also list a Titanium Coating res/def for the same price, and a Devastation acc/dam level 45 for the same. List an Efficacy Adaptor rech/acc for 3.1 mil. Bid on 10 Steel at 75,000
  22. We did a Faathim the Kind last night. After we started the first mission the leader said, "Maybe I should've paid attention to the team makeup." We had 3 scrappers, 3 blasters, a warshade, and I was on my night widow. "You always tank anyway," someone replied. "You mean I'm our entire support?" I asked.
    Heh. When we ran into Mother Mayhem we had a full team wipe, and even after that there was no "let's buff up first and attack together"... people rushed right back in as soon as they were ready, and she went down fast. ^_^
    One blaster kept complaining about how much they were being held. I wanted to point out that they were one of the first to jump into the center of each group... but I knew I wasn't going to change anyone's playstyle. I was jumping into groups first if i could, even though as a defense-only toon I got shredded a lot by Rularuu and Nemesis.
    We finished in 2 hours 27 minutes.
  23. I've known for a while that several of my characters probably could solo AVs, but I hadn't done it until I accidentally ran into an AV while running a Striga arc... forgetting the guy's name now, that sonic guy. I was soloing on my scrapper Tiffany, and he showed up as an AV due to my settings I guess. So I thought, "Well, I can do this in theory and actually it wasn't too difficult.
    I still want to solo a few of the legacy TFs. Not because I think it'll be lots of fun... just because. ^_^
