I am looking to build a new toon blaster with the Assualt Rifle set. I am fully aware of the other sers being more powerful but I really been wanting to use AR. My 2 questions are:

1. What powers should I avoid?
2. What other set is paired nicely with AR?

I do not solo a lot so I am mainly a team player so if that influences power sets I amanormally in teams.

Oh! Another tutorial, I love them honestly. I had no idea what so ever that there was a tutorial at the Univ. TYVM!

And another thing, I'm just curious, why do people play mmo and solo? I assumed the point of mmo's is to play with other people? Solo is way to boring for me. Just my opinion and I know it may suck to some people.

There will be times when people just have to quit in spontaneous times. Yes its freaking irritating but I understand. Real Life will not pause or take a endurance break so there will be circumstances when people will just quit. But, if a player just quits w/o an explanation and just all of sudden quits b/c there mission got done...this is to you...f**k you and dont come back to Coh, go play your other mmo.

Ok, I have been roaming the forums and started to realize that IOs are a bit more powerful for the toons rather than SOs. Depending on who's opinion pretty much but it appears that a lot of players are building IOs rather then spending infl. on SO's. I have started to recieve slavage but I have yet to learn what salvage I need to keep and so forth. Recipes are new to me as well but have not got any yet. Can someone link me the info for IOs becuase there are so many opinions and so many topics on this subject. Just a good forum with IOs advice.

My questions I am going to have are:

How much Influence should I save? Should I just start to save all my infl. now at a lvl 10? Should I save my infl. and not slot any powers with any origins? Is inlf going to be spent that quickly on IOs?

Are there certain IOs that will be specifically awesome for my tanker? I am a team player mostly, so what builds are recomended? (lvl 10 science tanker Inv/SS).

What lvl do I start on IOs?

What lvl do recipes become useful?

This is why I love the forums. Friendly and educational yet easy to understand. I have learned so much 'bout th' game from reading the forums, I try to read a little bit each time before I log to play. I too have recently started playing again and am amazed and blown away by the changes all except for AE. I did just learn 'bout the change for blasters and it influenced me to roll a blaster toon.

Having only a lvl 5 tanker, I am starting to consider how I want my tanker to be slotted. I'm going to stick with SO's b/c frankly, I read it can be real exspensive inventing IO's and I'm not responsible with funds fake or real. I consider slotting SS with DAM increase along with making the strikes disorient more...I don't know what are some good ways to slot a inv/ss tanker.

Does all salvage one way or another be used for inventions?

Prof_Blackfire..amazing! I completely understood the info and I was blown away how easy it was for me to understand. Ty very much. I have been trying to roam the forums for a few minutes before I log to play everytime. I have yet to be dissappointed and your post has influenced me even more to keep roaming. Ok, so I been a vet since a year after launch but I have taken several breaks. I am now recently back playing stronger to play than ever before. Love the new patches excpt for AE. Anyhow...since I am more than ever dedicated to learn this game, I am having trouble understanding some termonoloy. Some of you are even going to wonder how long I have been playing and have not p/u on the termonology but I havent been roaming the forums B4 like I am now.

What exactly are IO? I understand that SO = Single Origins, DO = Dual Origins?
What does soft cap mean?

Knowing that a blaster style would be much more beneficial, but I am curious on the archery set of the Defender. What is recomended? What powers that can be avoided? I prefer to be in teams and would this type of toon help the team?

I am wanting to create a toon with this power set b/c mainly of roleplaying purposes and would it be a fun toon to play?

I have not seen a toon with Super Reflexes for a very long time. If there are toons out there on Freedom that have SS, what powers should/can I avoid? I am playing a toon with SS for roleplaying purposes and teaming in mind and I like it. I know that there other sets that are way better, but I actual like the power set myself!

My main set is Martial Arts again for roleplaying purposes and again I KNOW there are better sets but I do like the damage it does and the the way it looks. If anyone wondered. it is a good combo imo.

Please feel free to leave any advice on builds.

I recently created a plant toon with empathy. I havent got far enough to say "yay" or "nay" but I was wondering:

Is emp a good secondary with plant control?
What are other good power sets to go w/plant control?
How should I slot my troller powers (team player)?

I love trollers myself and seeing elec control would be bada$$. I thought of Time Control too but I'm not smert enuff to think of ways to make it work but other people here had some other good ideas too! What about water control? That would be difficult in places w/o water but it would be cool to see....

Blue? That would be cool to see.....

I just bought the AE version of the game to reactivate my account. Don't ask, long story.

My question is, should I use cyborg or magic? ATM the game is still downloading and I just wanted to make sure I didn't take the one that is the least effective. Thanks!
