Yeah TA is fun as long as your not a MM. My ninja/TA is fun but the MM version of TA is so pathetic is pisses me off.
-
You can make a macro like that. I have one similar but then again I don't remember what I did to make it. But then again I don't ever have my pets on aggressive, it is a macro for defensive and passive.
I am surprised you want to have you ninjas on aggressive anyways. Mine I have to micro all the time, aka goto/attack my target. Hehe but he is also ninja/TA, fun but can get on your nerves very fast. -
Not the first time it has happened. Oh and they have helped out people before for other stuff like this. Let me tell you a little secret... The Devs actually care about us. Shocking isn't it a MMO where the devs actually give a bleep. Don't hurt to ask. Good luck.
-
There is already a cap. 2 billion inf. really you people dont know that one. that is why people sell most pvp IO off the market. You can't sell anything for more then 2 billion.
-
Quote:It is expensive to IO with sets for a toon. But if you were to replace your SO with generic IO, and is good for the time being stuff. It is cheap. way cheaper then SO. There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't craft generic IO on your toon till you can afford sets. It wouldn't be quite 5 million. And you do realize that if you were to buy all lvl 50 SO it would cost several million. But you have a advantage with IO you dont have to slot max lvl ones and still retain the benefits.
True. And yes, you're right. It'd far and far easier to obtain SOs and other vendor items then. However, there would a much larger gap in price between using IOs and SOs.
Having 5.5 million in a land where everything slightly better than the norm (IOs vs. SOs) costs 5 million at the very least isn't exactly being rich.
There was a time I had 2 million inf. and I considered myself a rich kid on the block!
Now I have a total of about 2 billion on my main characters, with most of them IO'd out to the teeth, and I don't even consider myself remotely rich. That's my concern.
The concern that the value of 1 inf. is dropping, and dropping FAST as long as anything beyond SOs is concerned.
But with sets the way they are they are expensive but earning them is quite easy now. There is no reason you can't earn the sets for your toon, no reason at all. It is only expensive if you don't want to put in the effort and want it NOW. And that is the way it should be. You shouldn't be able to set your toon up without doing any effort either buy earning the money to pay for it or earning them. -
Its powers are fairly high end cost. and you spam them alot. My attack chain is gloom, touch of fear, siphon life, midnight grasp. the damage is quite good. midnight grasp and siphon life now do great damage but are utility powers. you also have soul drain. oh dark consumption isnt that great and isnt needed when you have electric armor. here is my build without the stuff in the slots. but with the slots ready for what i would put in them.

another great pairing. I can't praise it enough. DM/Elec. Dark melee and electric armor just go well too well. Dark melee has end issues but a healing attack that you use as your attack chain and great single target damage. Elec armor solves the end issue and saps them and has a good end/heal power. It was so insanely good on my scrapper i had to do it on my brute to just make it a tank. I can't think of any other powerset pairing for a brute that makes you a great damage dealing unstoppable tank.
You have only 1 weakness Don't miss on your siphon life. -
Wait you don't think there was exploits before AE. I can tell you are wrong very very wrong. But the point of earning buttloads of money wasn't there. What caused inflation was entirely IO sets. Inflation would be worse way worse if the market wasn't there.
-
No it is just the fact that I am noticing. If you fight a map that has a huge # of enemies before you hit the end. You will cap out. For me I was capping out not even half way through.
I think there was some mention before that the cap per mission is smaller. So I guess it is time to make really tiny missions, ones that you clear super fast cause your going to hit the cap in that time.
PS: You cant compare Player Choice and Dev Choice arcs to normal ones buddy. They don't have the same rules for drop rates. The rules for those arcs arn't what most people have for drops and what can drop tickets. -
Oh sorry I was meaning the sled runs. The ski hill well that is easy. All you need is sprint now that you get swift free. NJ just adds to it.
The sled runs you have to have something a bit more then NJ. I spent a whole day trying to get it to work with just it. Unless I am missing something it is just barley not enough. I keep missing at like 5 seconds. -
-
I like it. Why wouldn't anyone like it?
-
Cries. Nooo. But then again I have missed most of season 2 not out of choice. And the fact that I love stargate and don't nitpick much.
Now just trying to think what is worse the stargate franchise dieing or when star trek enterprise got canceled. Actually I guess there all tied right there with Starship troopers Roughneck chronicles getting canceled right at the last few episodes of the show.
I guess I will have to find some way to finish watching the show. Then again I don't have to worry about missing any of the show when I am going to be gone for 2 years soon. LoL.
PS: Warden, no not really. There is a few good anime being made out there but most of it not starship style shows. And the only stuff that gets brought over here is crap. The stuff on Cartoon Network right now is so bad it hurts.
How long do you think Star Wars the Clone Wars is going to last. It keeps giving me the vibe that it won't last much longer. -
What I did, cause I don't have to grab stamina anymore, is I got aid other and aid self. Normally I would have got stimulate but i just pulled one slot from where it wasn't so critical and put it in there for more regeneration. Even though I wouldn't ever use it, aid self is slotted fairly minimal too, I will get a decent amount of regeneration.
But then again this is on my Kat/SR Scrapper. -
Quote:society likes us to think that. In some states you can't even legally prosecute a lady for #$%@ a guy. Cause men can't be @#$#. And I extremely against that idea. The problem is there isn't equality in the Sexs in the USA. It slants one way or another on each dang issue. And it irks me.so, what you're basically saying is
It's okay when its Female on Male or male on male for that matter.
And yes I know there is a dark very dark subtext to some things in the game. If you pay attention this game is very MA before you include player characters. But I need to learn to keep my mouth shut it looks like. -
Quote:You do realize that you don't have limitations on the names you can give your pets like you do with characters. Also you already can name your pet after someone. Also that is the point you can do alot of stuff as a player character and then your held responsible. It is hard really hard to prove someone is doing something wrong with there pets. Pets can be changed on a whim and the whole servitude issue that is already there can only be made worse with the addition of female pets. Blame it on the dang American culture. Ooh if it is a guy mistreated big deal but if it is a lady then things get ugly. Society is flawed and as such the Devs are being careful of what they allow in the game. Then it should be easy to find something to cite. That's what I'm asking: where's the evidence?
Under what law? Or to allow for the full range, under what legal theory?
You can make a female player character and have access to the full range of emotes and costumes, and any misconduct can be rectified in-game by the GMs.
I'm not beating anything. I'm largely indifferent to the issue of female pets -- my personal interest is for more MM primaries. If I can have those, I don't care what gender they are.
My post -- which you seem to misunderstood -- is asking for evidence. It is popularly perceived as the official developer standpoint. You're asserting it as an accepted fact. I'm asking for affirmative proof of the point. If they've said it so many times, hook me up with a redname post to that extent. Developer Q&A. Interview. Transcript of podcast.
It's not a difficult inquiry. A poster asserted "this is what the developers have said." And I'm asking "where did they say it?"
And I will say it again I cannot cite a source cause it is ingame. Many a time the Devs have been there for special events and this question has been asked and they say NO.
It was said once during the Anniversary even ingame with all the Devs. And yes it is hard to go this is what they have said. The devs are very good about giving vague answers or sticking there foot in there mouth. The Devs say alot of things out side of the dang forums dude.
I don't care about if my pets are male or female. I can see some ladies that would be annoyed by it but they just deal with it and don't complain. I have seen Devs say No and also not at this time enough times that the issue people wanting them I guess bugs me.
Oh and here is a very big problem I have noticed in the past the Devs delete old stuff. And finding stuff outside the dev digest in a forum can be a pain unless it is a new topic. -
Quote:People have asked. It has been asked ingame to the devs many many many times. I have seen a few times where they said NO. The point is there is legal issues with having pets female. You can name them whatever you want at a whim, make them do whatever you want them to do. The fact that you have control over a female that isn't supposed to be you is a issue.I've only ever seen this standpoint attributed to the devs, never backed up with a post or anything. It seems to be the commonly accepted view, but no one has ever provided evidence to support the contention.
We have GMs in the game who regulate content. If you make an offensive character, the GMs randomize name/description/costume/etc. Why would MMs with their pets be any different? Why would THIS ONE ISSUE be a sticking point for the devs as a bar to creating new content when they already have a system in place to remedy it?
And moreover, where have the developers ever said it?
It is safe to say Devs know better then to open that can of worms and have stated many times NO. If they ever do it they will do it. Quit beating the zombified horse. -
Yeah only 1 of my friends are as lucky as you. He still has his Day 1 360 and it is running perfectly. It is annoying. He is lucky with consoles. Real lucky.
And yet I have personally seen over 10 red rings of every model. My brother has a real bad luck with his original 360, literally has replaced every part in it one at a time cause of failures. Then a friend who bought every version of 360 when they came out. After awhile they each ended up with a RROD. Though the Elite it is rare. I am not saying the slim is going to RROD on everyone. It is rare but at day one it is happening. You can't permanently fix a hardware error like that. Things come DOA it just happens, hello Hard Drives.
Oh and I am not a PS3 fanboy. Friends and brother has one. I don't give a bleep about either of them really. I like my computer, if I want to play a console game that is what friends are for. I just hate microsoft so anything they make makes me have something against it already. -
Bots also function real well with Defense the proc bot's shield gives them some defense. Bots are the least squishy of all the pets.
DPS well there not the best at that. The only pets that do less are zombies, well you could say ninjas for other reasons.
So for squishy I would give the list like this best to worst
Bots
Deamons
Thugs
Ninja
Mercs
Zombies
DPS
Thugs
Deamons
Mercs
Bots
Ninja
Zombies -
Um it hasn't been fixed. Where the heck can you get the idea you can permanently fix a hardware issue like that. It is like windows saying BSOD is fixed with every release of windows.
No red ring isn't fixed in fact several of the ones people got from the slim announcement were red ringed when they first turned them on. I Cite Angry Joe, he went to the announcement and got his then turned it on and guess what it was red ringed. All they have done is added fans, which helped with the aspect that red ring can be from overheating. And that in some models they actually removed the red LED. They have gone the route we don't care to hear this issue anymore lets make them not be able to tell it is happening.
And no I am not flaming anyone other then Microsofts bad Practices. Can you tell I have been screwed by them to much. Check youtube there are lots of videos there of it happening. -
Um you might want to think of it like sprint or rest or brawl those are inherents. Most likely there won't be a change to what you can slot in them and how you can give them slots. Just details like what lvl we get them and stuff like that.

Quote:When did I say bruiser? I have said Tank many times but not bruiser. And yes I know bruiser is the tier 3 thug pet from MMs. I play MMs the most. If I remember right he is a SS/Inv Brute as a pet.Omnipotentmerlin, we must just disagree. I should point out there there is no such AT as "bruiser". I assume you mean Brute. Deathbadger makes a cogent argument. Do you have a response to it?
As far as Deathbadger. He is true mostly. The red side mobs tend to have more refinements and more stuff added to them. Be it patches of fire that gets thrown down alot redside. I have yet to see that happen that much blue side. There seems to be more groups of mobs that debuff you redside.
Okay here is a test. Point out what groups of enemies redside that are considered as easy for the blue side. All I can think of are Snakes.
Off the top of my head we got these villian groups redside CoT, Council, Arachnos, Longbow, DE, Vahzilok, snakes, Luddites, gold brickers, cockwork, skulls, very few hellions, 5th, crey, corlax, family, legacy, Wyvern, Mooks, Carnies, Freakshow, Tsoo, Wailers, Banished Pantheon, cage, raiders, Knives of Artemis, oh and the best of them all Nemesis.
Probably missed a few.
Oh and about longbow. You said the toons you play. The only AT, in general, I can think of blue side that doesn't find Longbow a pain is the tanker. From what I have seen very few builds can breeze through Longbow without investments into sets. And you do realize that you "Have to do Papers" to do story arcs. You don't have that blue side. For the most part blue side it is easy to forget about radios. Redside you can't forget about them. To get new contacts you have to do them. -
When did I say redside AT's were superior. I said redside itself is harder. The content redside is harder not the AT. I said villians die more redside then heroes die blue side where in that statement makes it sound like villains are more powerful. The only AT that can be considered more powerful then any other is MMs just for how the AT is done but MMs still have there weaknesses like hmm burn patches.
-
Tankers. The fact that it takes forever to kill anything. And that I can play another toon and do the job pretty well makes me not want to play them. Oh and the fact that I never play the tank in every MMO. I will do anything else but I am not going to play that Warrior that has to deal with everyones aggro and have subpar damage. And with the the fact that the devs have been blurring the lines between the roles of the ATs blueside I have absolutely no reason to play a tank. If I want to do crappy damage I will play a toon I made to be pure support but atleast I am helping the team and not just standing there getting wailed on for the team.
-
Quote:Um dude redside is harder then blue. Period. There were lots of things done with the development of City of Villians that were improvements. Things like redside is streamlined. There was also the fact that MMs were made which made it so they needed to increase the difficulty to compensate for them. You don't have burn patches blue side. You don't have the amount of debuff that redside has. Also redside the ATs throw more damage out so everything needs to be more beefy to survive. Blue side it is quite easy to blow through lvls up to 30 without dieing that can't be said for redside. Also a lot of work has been done on hero's "Hazard zones" to make them not as hard. Hollows is a joke now. It wasn't every really hard just had to play smart. Now it is almost impossible to die.I am also stunned that so many red side players seem to think that they are in some way more skilled then blue side players. I suppose the misconception that red content is harder then blue leads to this further error (or the first misconception is formulated to provide support for the deceleration of superiority). I run quite a bit of mixed content and in my observation, this claim is simply false.
Each side has fundamental differences just like Pretoria does to the old zones. Villians was designed around the fact that there are no set roles for there ATs, you want to know something Masterminds are supposed to be the tanks redside not bruisers. Heroes was designed around that each toon had a certain role to do. But you want to be honest Pretoria is the hardest. It was designed around the fact that both sides would be doing it. And that you would be soloing it. Each release to a game increases the challenge level because if you make the next addon to a game easier then people won't play it.
