  1. Hello there, I happened to notice that there is a rather large amount of support for things such as IC TFs and missions, and having been on a few myself I can say they're a lot of fun.

So, I think the next logical step up would be something even bigger IC, I am of course talking about something like a Rikti Mothership raid.

I've asked around, and so far everyone seems to like the idea, so I'm posting up here to see who'd be interested in joining such a thing and/or any other comments you might have.

Anyway, thoughts? Or if you want to sign up post here or otherwise contact me and let’s see if we can make an enjoyable an unforgettable IC event eh?
  2. One small problem with yoru idea baout the Rikti.

On the homeworld, the military RIkti are outnumbered somthign like 9-to-1 the odds of them winning a civil war are astronomical.

Uh, thats about it really, honestly the Rikti military is shvivilled and underdeveloped by thier own terms with on the tiniest portion of thier population actually serving.

In fact most of the Rikti military is stranded with us in Paragon city
  3. How can you forget the Storm Palace?
  4. Yes, calling freaks to the stand will be good
  5. I should just roll the proecution lawyer shouldn't I? >.>

Theres no way I know anything about law so we should both be safe and keep it as a simple disucssion plot.

Oh well so much for hard choices for EF >.<
  6. I'll sign Enlightened Falcon up for the jury, he doesn't know Ed, but if you can find no one else to do the prosecuor I can switch and do that
  7. Omega_Chief

    New SG idea.

But HeroCorps deals purley with governments on a large scalre doing good deeds and all that.

What Kanto is suggesting is a small group you hire by going into a grimy office in a less refutable part of time to get somthing done "Off teh record" that may or may no be morally grey.
  8. Omega_Chief

    New SG idea.

Well I do have that new char who will be wanting a job soon, alas she's only about level ten right now but yea thats one peprson interested at least
  9. The price we pay for an evloving game world.

Though at this pointy very few people -don't- know the secret that shares a word with my name.

Also not everyone will do both arc eithier, so yea stuff
  10. Well the constant Arachnos breakouts can't help much can they?
  11. I was just saying alright, you know different interpitation and all that? >.>
  12. Well, perhaphs there are different kinds of registrations and so on?

I mean mabye Fans has a "Hero Corps Special" registration which ties her to HC rather then just another freelance hero?

Mabye teh Threat Level for villians isn't done by Arachnos? But Longbow or Wyvern hell I do belive there was a villianside mission where you attacked Wtvern to rack up your plece on a "threat list"

And I'm thinking it's not just Threat/Security level Vanguard goes on, perhaps theres some basic training or testing they do to see if you really have what it takes?

I just don't see what the big issue is, we have eleventy-billion different ways to interprit teh origins, hell even to interprate peacebringers!, but your saying we can't interprit somthing like this in the same way?
  13. Sure I'd be willing to help, I always havea few character slots free.

Also I support the new channel ideas!

As long as they don't end up all like GGOOC >.> <.<
  14. Rikti Attack Students!

In the early hours of the morning a Rikti strike force somehow penetrated the war walls in Steel Canyon and proceeded to attack the student housing.

From the information provided to us by Vanguard it seems that there was remarkably little destruction with the raid being carried out with almost surgical precision.

Details are still sketchy as of the time we send this article to print, but it seems at least one Rikti assault ship blew its way into one of the higher level apartments, a brief fight is believed to have followed and the Rikti withdrew.

The only witness inside the apartment is still being questioned by Vanguard, and they are keeping the witness under a press black out for now.
  15. ((Yes I know it’s a bit late, but uh took me a while to finally write this >.&gt)

Within the ruins of a once glorious skyscraper the sounds of fierce battle echoed, but seemed not to disturb the unrelenting night. Steel struck steel as the thin playful rapier of a harlequin struck the thick thuggish broadsword of an equally thick and thuggish man. Again their blades crashed, quickly followed by a dance into the next stroke, this time however the brute misjudged the harlequins intentions and she with a deft faint lashed across his chest twice in rapid succession before plunging her blade into his heart.

Breathing quickly as she struggled to remove her blade she glanced about the, well battleground was the only word she could think of that conveyed what she saw. Shattered masks and broken bodies littered the ground, small fires and the remains of a few seneschals’ lanterns provided the only illumination, for which she was thankful, she had enough nightmares already.

Her train of thought was quickly interupted by a gentle reassuring touch to the shoulder, the harlequin spun round bracing herself, but was suddenly relived. The arm that had touched her belonged to her ring mistress, taking a deep breath she could also see another similary dressed harlequin standing behind her as well. Taking a small break they made sure none of the three troupe survivors were injuried, luckly they had only a few scrapes though their uniforms had suffered worse, with one of the poles on the ring mistresses back having being snapped clean off.

After a brief rest the three nodded in silent agreement and went deeper into the ruins, gradually te scenery changed though, becoming less ruined and more well kept. Eventually even the décor changed and soon it seemed as if they were inside some dark palace. True to form the room they found a the end of the passage was some kind of large throne room, immaculatley upkept, and illuminated by only a handful of spotlights the largest of which illuminated a grand throne on a platform in the centre of the room, and sprawled across is was the slender grey-white haired female fiigure they had been hunting.

Cautiously they crossed the distance to their target, with more details becoming aparent. It seemed she wore a low cut green top with small orange stripes down the sides, with a smiliar colour scheme applied to her shortish skirt. Closer still they approached and the figured still did not acknowledge their precence, her grey-white hair slowley swaying though thee was not even a hint of breeze in the room. As they closed on the throne it became apprent what the figure was doing, a small bowl of grapes lay at her side and ever now and then one would float into mid air, have its skin peeled off by some unseen force and then fly into the figures mouth.

The harlequins braced themselves, this was it, the moment they had planned for. Stepping forward the ring mistress cleared her throat,

“In the name of the Carnival of Light, we have come to end this madness Psytrix!”

The harlequins draw their swords and braced themselves as the figure sat up, her green high heeled boots gentlely touching the floor as the began to speak with a voice that seemed to echo ever so slightfully with pain through their minds.

“Oh come to spoil my fun have you?” with subtle grace she stood up, “A shame I was having such fun you know, a very vigorous fight”

She seemed angered by the lack of conversation the carnies were providing.

“Fine, fine if we can have fun talking….” And with a dismissive gesture two well muscled thugs whom she had been telekinetically levitating above the harlequins dropped down. The first harlequin was taken by surpise and was pushed down onto her ownsword, which due to the force of the drop screwed right through her and into the thug as well. The second harlequin fared much better, she was only held in place by the iron grasp of the thug, she struggled futally but to no avail. The harlequin turned to the ring mistress who had remeained locked in her pose all the while.

“Quick help me!” She struggled to say from within the grasp of the thug, but the ring mistress did not reply, insidead the woman they had come to hunt spoke instead, looking at the scewered harlequin and thug.

“Oh such a mess” she tutted, flinging the corpses away, at the same time the ring mistress had removed her mask and allowed to to shatter onto the floor.

“What are you…” struggled the remaining harlequin, still trapped by the thug, she was quickly rendered still by the eeiry sound of two people laughing and then speaking in perfect syncrony.

“Oh really my dear did you think his was all your mistresses idea?” the pair of voices belonged to the ring mistress and the green and orange clad woman now rather menicingly making her way towards the harlequin.

“You see, I felt like some entertianment and you know how drab the televisions is, and I must say you and your troupe were very very enertianing why I havn’t had a fight that intense for a while” taking the last few steps twoards the harlequin she removed the fragile mask all the Carnival wore, “And of course I’m not done with you yet my dear, why I wonder what fun I could have here…”

She placed her hands on the harlequins head, and the harlequin soon screamed out her last coherant thoughts as she felt her mind shear into a thousand pieces….
  16. Are there books and TV shows in real life about well, normal people in real life?

Theres no reason why we can have the marvel/DC comics around, it's just they'd be seen as not so fantasy-ish and mabye even have the old "This is a true story only names have been changed" sort of thing to try and boost sales mabye?
  17. Rain pattered against the window of an apartment in High Park, and like many of the other residents in this part of Kings Row there was no one awake inside to hear the gentle, almost soothing sound.

Which probably would have helped the troubled tossing and turn young man who lay on the only bed in the apartment, as the hour of the wolf dragged on the troubled sleep of one Joshua Zicky was about to yield some unpleasant thoughts.

The sky stretched all around him, Josh could simply not believe how high up he was or how vast the horizon seemed. He continued to float surrounded by clouds of brilliant pastel colour, soon the noticed flickering shapes and realised he was not alone. The flickers where at such a distance he could not see them clearly but he knew them to be friends and tried to drift towards them, but for all his effort he never seemed to get closer in fact they had all but disappeared leaving Josh alone in the strange almost surreal sky he found himself in.

All to quickly he felt a familiar sensation as the sky below began to darken, it seemed almost as though some great beast of darkness had come to devour him. Josh curled up and braced himself but nothing happened, as the darkness consumed the sky a new scene seemed to melt in and he found himself in a twisted and blackened forest, a place he knew very well indeed but twisted almost beyond recognition. From the dark lines of blackened trees figures began to emerge, Council Galaxy soldiers, Void Hunters and strangely dressed men that lingered on the edge of his memory. Soon he was completely surrounded by them, their snarling features seeming to through half heard insults at him. More figures soon emerged from the trees, people Josh half recognised as friends, but rather then helping him they joined the sneering crowd. Josh spun around trying to find a way out, but it was too late the men nearest to him had all drawn their long barrelled rifles, which hissed and seem to throw even more shadow on the scene, they took aim and fired, sudden pain barley registered as he felt himself torn apart at the atomic level…

And with a startled noise flung himself upwards to see the dim light of his apartment, breathing heavily he took careful time to process what had happened.

“Just a bad dream” he gasped “Yeah that’s all”

With a sigh he carefully stood up and began walking towards the kitchen

“Just… need a drink” he mumbled to himself, being careful not to awaken the shutdown robotic form of his room mate Automobilised. He gradually shambled past their stolen Council super computer, reached the fridge and removed half empty bottle of water. Taking a sip he slowly made his way to the window and looked out at the gently falling rain. The thoughts of doubt were soon running around his head, asking him what he was thinking coming to Paragon, trying to be a hero and that he may have made a very very stupid choice in becoming a Peacebringer.

He took another sip of water and lost in thought stared out into the rain as the hour of the wolf dragged by
  18. Right well hello there, myself and Bolt were sort of inspired by the new VEATs coming in i12 to make a new Role Playing Villain group.

Anyway, we've worked on it a bit and are now ready to show off what we've done and to well, ask if you'd like to join?

Basically the group is the "Dusk Spiders" a semi rouge faction within the Arachnos, paying lip service to the patrons of course.

No it is not VEAT only, there are many many openings for just some gold old fashioned regular villains in there.

So yes, anyone who's interested please go to:

    http://duskspiders.freeforums.org/index.php

Or contact @Omega Chief or @Doctor Bolt in game

Or just post on the thread

Oh and thanks for reading and/or considering, it's greatly appreciated.
  19. ((Wow, thats like the best way to hit 50... whish I had hit it that way ))
  20. Well I have a perfectionis robotics/traps mastermind who's looking for some work and a chance to test her latest inventions.

  21. ((Because Raven wouldn't stop poking me, I give you all the evil cult intro!))

    ((Apologies for spelling also..))

Somewhere deep in a swirling maelstrom, far outside of space time and mortal comprehension, lay an apparently stone structure. It could have been as small as a house or larger then any temple of the ancient world, but it was impossible to tell which.

Deep within this ever shifting structure, in a room whose only light came from an array of sharp angry symbols slowly pulsing with dark power, sat the being know as "Azarath".

In this chamber he sat, eyes closed yet seeing far, contemplating what had happened and what will happen. Soon he wold at last be restored to his full self and begin his travels once more, he had already located what he needed, it was simpley a matter of time.

From a corner of the room, seemign to slip from the shadows themselves approached a man dressed in formal robes, his head bowed in supplication.

"My master, the cult is assembled we are ready to begin the ritual to collect the last of those you need for the great plan"

Azarath almost smiled, his plan was proceeding like he knew it would, after all he had come up with it. Noticing his cult leader was awaiting some sort of responce he spoke in his emotionless voice.

"Good I shall join you shortly, these new "recruits" will be all I need"

He quickly lead the way through the shadows to a circular room, who's symbols were glowing and flashing with ever more frequency. In the middle of the room, surrounded by sharp angled pillars and chanting cultists, hovered the begins of a rip in time thought which the final stages of his plan would soon arrive through.

Taking his place in the centre Azarath began to set the last phase in motion...
