Quote:Actually, the Praetorian version of Paragon - known in Praetoria as "Shroud City" - was nuked in the Hamidon Wars and abandoned. It's mentioned in Tyrant's bio.I looked around, and did a search but I couldn't find out where is this city? I look nothing like Paragon City... unless there was a massive earth quack the broke Atlas, Perez, Galaxy, apart :P

Longbow: Add some power armor Lts & bosses and some Beam Rifle Lts.
Clockwork Freaks; Freaks who've grafted Clockwork parts to themselves, and who occasionally have the Clockwork parts act independently. "I can't stop zapping things - this is SO COOL!"
Titan Freaks; Hugely oversized, heavily armed Tank Freak variants.
HoloFreaks; Freak bosses with implanted special effects equipment, they have Illusion Control powers.
The Vahzilok need a GM; some huge Abomination with grafted on weapons and spare limbs sticking out here and there.
Rularruu needs Intrusions; the sky turns colors, and holes open in the air out of which extend Lusca-sized tentacles covered in eyes and mouths that attack anything nearby. This should be an occasional event near Portal Corp.
Vanguard needs Vanguard Destroyers; huge flying vessels reverse engineered from Rikti Dropships, they show up at the tail end of various invasion events to chase the enemy off.
Zombies need Zombie Heroes; undead heroes that have random powersets, like the Flawed Clone from the villainside Ajax arc. -
Quote:"This character" is a member of a race of creatures whose primary defining characteristic is that they're generally pretty stupid, but tough and VERY long-lived. They live in a world ruled by superstition, ritual and essentially clueless blundering, surviving on their hardy physique and thick heads more than anything else. At one point, these creatures received a gift of great power and knowledge, but while the others used their new power to wage war and conquer, this character instead took the time to marvel at the beauty of nature, to sample the fruits of culture and to generally try to understand the world, so that it doesn't seem as scary and confusing.
Unfortunately, the great power waned, and these creatures grew stupid once more. No longer able to comprehend, the world once more felt alien, nature looked ugly and culture seemed... Well, stupid and pointless. But the memories of those times remained with this creature.Quote:I
There seems to have been a miscommunication about the level of intelligence of this creature. I meant for it to have started out stupid many centuries ago, but to be quite intelligent by this point. I really don't want to deal with a fool or a "fish out of water" sort of thing, like Wonder Woman not being able to pump gas or use credit cards. More, my quandary is between having this creature just simply intelligent in an academic sense, or outright genius to the point of using and creating advanced technology.
After a long period of advancement their civilization finally developed biological weapons, and used them - and eventually, one of those weapons killed the symbiont. Suddenly they went from geniuses to normal-or-worse, and their self control and focus was even worse than when they started; they'd leaned on the symbiont for that too much, and indulged their passions too much. They lost most of their civilization and technology, with their short attention span it was a struggle to maintain even the portions they could still understand.
Your character had however spent its time in learning, philosophizing and in honing its own self discipline; when it lost its genius, it still had a greater level of self control and had habituated itself to long term thinking. It also had a great deal of accumulated knowledge and records, where others of its kind had only cared for immediately useful information.
As for appearance; as basically a product of a post-apocalyptic civilization your character can certainly mix tech and primitivism; like high-tech costume parts with Stick Fighting. Especially since it never had much interest in the old high tech warfare in the first place. -

Quote:Warehouses. Offices, caves and warehouses are the three most common maps I think.Curious, can anyone name the other map-types we have?
Like how many unique cave-types do we have vs how many skins over those maps such as the 'big cave' which is reskinned with the bone/flesh in Dark Astoria to look like the entrails of a large creature.
Are the Oranbega map-types unique? I know they reskin/recolor those.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of much. -
Cool characters. I did use a bunch of the glowing rings for the new costume of Eternal Tesla, my Elec/Elec Dominator:

Quote:I also like the Rikti Axe, unlocked by the invasion badges. My zombie Axe/WP uses it.That said, the Ax has the super cool bearded ax choice.. Totally awesome.. I think it's called the Barbarian's Axe in the costume creator. It does have to be purchased, though. I'll admit, I gave Ax a pass till that option came out, because the rest really are pretty boring. I bought the Barbarians costume pack as a whole, and when I saw that Ax in there I had to get to work on my new Brute.

Quote:No, it's pretty clear that he is actually unaware of a lot of what's going on.But he also seemed totally unconcerned about the way the dictatorship was working - the reason he tried to go behind Tyrant's back was that he didn't want any of his IDF troops to be killed in the war - there wasn't even a hint anywhere in his text that he thought that the mass-murder, slavery, torture and brain-washing going on inside Praetoria was bad and should be stopped.
As one of the longest-serving members of the loyalist dictatorship, he'd have seen all the crimes committed by it - but didn't seem to care until the lives of the soldiers under his command were going to be under risk in a real war. -
Meh; having separate servers allows for different server cultures. The powerlevelers/farmers can hang out on Freedom, RPs on Virtue and so on. I'd prefer to keep a servered environment, even if the servers were only virtual.

/Earth also has Power Boost, a Hold and KB/KD to supplement Fire's weaker-than-average control, while Fire/ has Imps and Hot Feet to help with /Earth's limited AoE damage. They really work together well. Not that I think that Fire/Elec would be bad, mind you; it just doesn't have the same synergy as Fire/Earth.

I've too much of a villainous mind; I see "Puppy Water", and I envision Dr Aeon proclaiming that Puppy Water is "made from only the finest liquefied and distilled puppies!"

Quote:I Drown You?I am having a hard time thinking of a name...they all come across as quite obscene lol.
Names I have thought of using and decided against:
I'm All Wet
I Will Get You Wet
I'm So Wet Right Now
My "problem" is all my toons are "I **do something**" or "I'm **something**" (See sig). -

Quote:As I recall, the term used was "cartoon gems", which I took to mean as "really fake & tacky looking".Yellow and Red are off-limits due to some crazy notion of it being used for urine or blood, highly saturated colors are just out because it makes the Ice look too much "like gems."
I think both of those arguments are hogwash, myself.
1) There's still other sets that you can use to approximate blood with.
2) Why *shouldn't* I be allowed to make my Ice look like gems? -
Retro sci-fi! Chain Mail and Leather is supposed to be free for VIPs, so I'll get it without the market.

Quote:Or a Vigilante! Or a Rogue if you pay them enough.Hurting people who've fallen into your hands is the mark of a villain, not a hero.
Mwa. Mwha. MWHAHAHAHA! That's what you think! -
At least one of the fancy back pieces looks connected to the back if you are using the Mangler Gears shoulder piece; I have a power armored villainess who has that and it actually looks kind of cool.

While I like Electric Melee, keep in mind that it does less damage on Brutes. Same for Shield.

Quote:I'm the exact opposite; I've barely touched the merit system because I hate gambling.I am a gambler and the random drop rewards is a major thing that keeps me playing. That is why i could play Diablo 2 for years, i never get tired finding new unexpected trinkets.
Of course, there is more than that to the game but really, with no random rewards, i would leave very soon.
That is why also i am thankful that the Merit system did not turn out ot be just "choose your reward" thing. The opportunity to gamble Merits for Random Recipe rolls is really a blast for me.
Did i said that i loved gambling ?
