No. It's more "It doesn't do as much damage as Fire Blast, so it's worthless." Everything does less damage than Fire; that's the point of Fire after all.
-
I see no reason to assume that. I think it much more likely that Doms will maybe get one, then be left on the back burner again while other ATs get set after set. That's what has been happening, after all.

Quote:It's not just a phase; Dominators are well behind everyone else in the number of available sets. Even if they added a new one tomorrow, Doms would still be behind. Especially since I see no reason to assume that they will stop releasing sets for other ATs, maintaining or increasing the lead they already have. Now for instance, this whole malarky about melee being a more of a concern just because they are releasing melee sets is not true.
this is just simply a phase, ok controllers and corrupters have hard time manipulation, titan weapons and staff melee will be coming for scrappers brutes and tankers, and street justice for scrappers brutes stalkers and i believe tankers.
I have been patient; I waited, and waited, and waited. Months ago I was one of the people telling people to wait and see; the result has been months with barely a word. -
One reason why I haven't made a Plant/Time is because most of your debuffs (except Slowed Response) work against Seeds of Confusion; they reduce the ability of Confused enemies to damage each other, which will slow your progress solo. Teamed I doubt it would matter much though.

"Rikti Case Study 3735, Day Two: Rikti corpse appears to still be biologically active, and has consumed my feet. Will report further on bio-assimilation process as it occurs.
Addendum; HELP! HELP! IT'S EATING ME!" -
Ultra Hardcore Combat Action: A PvP focused MMORPG where you use a wide variety of powers and weapons to defeat your opponents. If your character is killed in-game, not only is your character deleted, but the Devs have you assassinated. "Real PvP, with real consequences! Ultra Hardcoooorrrreee!!!!"

/Storm works fine with all MM types. It's one of the better choices for Ninjas actually; it helps keep the flimsy guys alive long enough for them to kill stuff.

And IIRC it also had clipping issues with things like feet going through ceilings. -
Quote:Well, considering that you can buy regenerating flesh cheap on the market you are obviously a minority. For that matter, even NPCs probably scoop up the scattered bits from the /Regens they've been fighting and sell 'em.There's also the classic* trick of cutting flesh off of /regen scrappers and rendering it into fuel. Since it grows back, it's an unlimited fuel source.
*considering that I've seen jokes about doing that with Wolverine for years. -
Hacking Control: Your character whips out a laptop and deletes enemies instead of fighting them. However, like Kheldians with Voids & Quantums, there's a danger of Devs spawning in missions and attacking you; "What the @^%$ are you doing?!"
Bribery Control: You don't fight enemies, you pay them to look the other way. -

Or not. Doms unlike all the other non-EATs haven't gotten anything new since Going Rogue. It's obvious that for whatever reason Doms are on the dev's backburner; even the poor neglected Stalkers have gotten more. It's not a good sign when everyone else gets multiple sets and Doms get none at all, and have none scheduled at least until next year; presumably not until next issue at best.

I have a Dark/MM blaster named Countess Incarnadine that I'm liking so far in her teens. In theme, she's an immortal blood-mage, the last of her line because she ritually sacrificed the rest of her family for magical power and immortality. All her powers are colored red naturally. So far the one thing I don't like is Tenebrous Tentacles; the range is so short.
Especially since it's nice, reliable KB; none of that irritating "chance for KB" that always seems to fail when you need it and go off when you don't want it. If Umbral Torrent hits, it applies -kb. -
Quote:Crey aren't allowed girlfriends, it cuts into the profit margin. And Malta are so confused with all the masks & code names that they aren't sure who is a girl.* Why do only Hellions and Skulls get girlfriends when Malta and Crey make such better money?
"Well, 'Kitty Kat Bravo' sure sounds like a girl name...but look at those shoulders! Agent Tulip maybe?" -
An obsolete issue now, but something that used to bother me when I thought about it: the existence of "villainous ATs" and "heroic ATs". What, your child prodigy likes to build robots? Your mutant kid is developing the ability to use fire blasts and control the wind? She gets stronger when she gets into a fight? Sorry, the kid's a villain; we'll send him or her over to the Rogue Isles on the next ferry.

Quote:Except for the Hell on Earth animation; that might be capable of being repurposed into an attack as well too though if the animation can work on non-demons.I don't see a reason to believe a whip would be control based. I mean, all the powers with a whip right now are attacks. I'd see it as more of a "blast" set than a control or assault power.
I think that a port of Whip would work well as either a Dom Assault set or a Blaster secondary set. -
My spines/regen Masochism is a wolf headed, rag clad lunatic wrapped in barbed wire whose battle cry is "PAIN! Hurt me MORE!" When he killed some villains harassing a citizen she ran up and said "I hope my children grow up to be just like you!" Uh, lady; really?!

Why do enemies insist that I haven't a chance against them when they are paralyzed and on fire?
Given the results, why do all those street mobs insist on attacking every oddly costumed guy who wanders past? You'd think they'd desist after being beaten senseless the first dozen times or so...
In the Dmitri Krylov mission where you kidnap civilians and bring them to Vahzilok surgeons, why did one of them ask my seven foot tall flaming skull faced incarnation of wrath "Are you leading me to safety?" No, probably not. -

Quote:There's this thread on Dark/Poison; the verdict seems to be "so-so".I already have a male voodoo character who is a Dark/Dark Defender but I'm looking at making my female one (who has the name Juju) and wanted to do something a bit different since with her, I'm envisioning more of the snake details of voodoo.
So I was thinking.. Dark/Poison Corr?
Does that seem viable as well as thematic?
Another possibility would be a Dark Melee/Shield scrapper. A very strong combo, you get tentacles from Midnight Grasp, and you get the perfect-for-voodoo Tribal Shield.
Or if you want to roll with the "magical hypnotic powers" trope often associated with snakes, there's Mind/Poison. -
I'm thinking either /elec or /energy; the character will be a Huge body robot with the Fusion Hammer.

Quote:Far superior yes, but not perfect. Dimension Shift being changed into something actually useful would be needed for that.Gravity just needs 2 tweaks, one is make propels animation time significantly lower or make the damage on par with say energy transfer or assassin's strike. For the time it takes to kill something with it the damage should be huge. Second swap dimesions shift with wormhole. Once thats done the set will be perfect.

Yes; it goes together well actually. Since the debuffs for enemy attacks and debuffs for enemy defenses are split into two powers you can leverage Seeds of Confusion easily. Unlike say Plant/Rad, where debuffing enemy defenses weakens their attacks at the same time reducing the effectiveness of Seeds. And Confused enemies tend to bunch up too, making the small AoEs of your debuffs more effective. Seeds + Envenom + Roots is a nice combo and available early. Plus /Poison helps with the rare Confuse resistant enemies; Nemesis can be aggravating on a Plant/.
