I liked Ben Reilly as Spider-Man. I think what killed any potential he had was the constant was he or wasn't he arcs they did and the fact that the whole comic was just flooded with crappy clone stories. Had Marvel learned to keep it short, instead of just dragging the clone nonsense out. I think Reilly would have a larger fanbase.

Add to this the IOs and Alphas... are there any reasons to think about a character anymore when you can just brute force your weaknesses into submission?
Begs the question: So, when do we get to pick and choose any power from any power set at any level for any archetype?
For example, I want a character that has some fire, mind, energy, henchmen, empathy, claws, super strength, willpower and super reflex powers all in one.
The day isn't a long wait before I get that, at this rate.
/just sayin, there sure be a lot of 'get out of wimp' items in the last few issues...

He was defiantly bound by some law of balance. I remember one episode where Eric was given DM's power and was thirsty so he just made a little fountain of water appear out of the ground. DM then chastised him saying he was taking water from somewhere that may need it just for his use.

2 brutes, 2 doms, 1 troller, and 1 def and i didn't have a super hard time. It WAS a little more challenging but nothing that would make me not start there.

Saw it and liked it, but it solidified my like of superheros with you know super powers. I know Cap is at the physical peak of human perfection and all but i've seen action films where the Vietnam veteran turned cop out to kill the man who killed his love does just as amazing stuff...Minus the shield.
