    The real difference is that the majority of you fight clubbers do not know much about PvP aside from dueling, follow imaginary game rules and codes, and come here to the forums posting misleading information to potential new PvPers. This is a problem because PvP has one foot in the grave right now and people like you aren't helping.

    Also, this attitude is not only limited to the forums. Since day 1 of PvP it has been the same old story with you folk. Ya'll QQ about EVERYTHING and start idiotic flame wars in broadcast chat which has, and still does, turn some people away. That's what is really getting old and that's the last thing that PvP needs.


    I'll sum it up for some of you...

    Keep comments to yourself if you don't know what you're talkng about.

    Don't type anything stupid while you're in a PvP zone. Close the chat window and focus on getting better at PvP.

    Continue to make yourselves look like ******* ****** and help decay PvP even further.

    "I wouldn't say we are "happy" or "unhappy" with PVP as it currently stands. It is still in a transitory state and will be for a while yet.

    We have a ton of things we want to do with PVP, the problem mainly lies in getting bandwidth across disciplines at the same time to get them done. That pretty much means there won't be any major changes until after Going Rogue at this point."

    The majority of the time when you post replies to PvP inquiries and questions you provide misleading information. Here are some posting tips for you.

    1. Pay attention whether the poster is talking about the Arena, Zone, Fight Club or combinations of these things.

    2. If the poster has not mentioned the above in their post then clarify first prior to making specific replies.

    3. If your PvP experience is limited to “sitting in the train” dueling, please don’t comment about Arena or Zone PvP.

    4. If you want to comment about Arena or Zone PvP then get better in these areas and start using some logic.

    5. Stop ignoring the fact that the game is coded a particular way that overrides your imaginary codes.

    6. Always remember that the game is coded a particular way that overrides your imaginary codes.

    7. Never forget that the game is coded a particular way that overrides your imaginary codes.

  11. A for effort. I understand your mentality and message but you should really do more research.

    Areas to work on...
    1. Provide objective views and accurate information.

    2. Include all the changes to PvP since I13.

    3. Make the community aware that Mid's does not provide accurate information for PvP.

    4. Let the community know that PvP receives the least amount of Dev attention, care and support.

    We have been monitoring player feedback to...




































































    our new 2009 Halloween Deadly Apocalypse Event. We are preparing a build that will be promoted to the Live Servers next week that will increase the frequency of the Deadly Apocalypse event and resolve some rare cases of map instability when the Event is launching within a zone. Since those changes will be promoted to our Live Servers next week, we are extending the Halloween Event from November 3rd to November 10th. This should allow many of you to obtain many of the Event only badges and enjoy the in-game “Treats”.
  13. Diminishing Returns sucks big time so don't waste all your influence on one toon. My suggestion is to make a couple or few different toons and go for middle of the road enhancements for now with bonuses that cover weak points. Later when you find the toon that is for you then make a stronger investment.

    Also, post your possible builds on the forums prior to leveling any toons so ppl can look at them and help you.
  14. Since PvP (among many other things) has been utterly mismanaged, is completely dead and will not be receiving any further attention until way after GR (won't cross my fingers for this one), I want to know how the gameplay and PvP is over at Aion?

    Normally I wouldn't ask something like this but unfortunately they do not have a free trial yet.

    I'm pretty sure 99% of us are aware that there is no connection between rep and drop rates.

    I have a couple of data samples that show PvP drop rates fall more on the inconsistant to low side.

    The current drop rates are not helpful to PvP players or encouraging anyone except the ebil (or soon to be ebil) ones milking the market. How do I know... 10 Billion in one month of taking advantage of the market.

    Also, PvP recipes are not better than purples in PvE despite the couple of "ok" bonuses and proc. Thanks to PvP DR the bonuses are pitiful and the only truely decent and desirable ones are the proc. The thought that PvP was butchered because of these almost complete joke rewards is laughable and is trademark to the attention PvP has received.

    Very good points.

    I personally feel most of the PvPers have been focused on character stats and PvPing as opposed to drop rates so that's why we are way slim on data, but because of the drop rates and costs, it's starting to get some of us to pay attention more. Also, it's much easier and faster to generate numbers for PvE but I'm sure more of us will be proactive now that we are more aware.

    The Devs have been notified so I'm hoping they follow through and do a check instead of waiting for their paying customers to spend months PvPing collecting data for them.

    Honestly I feel that the Devs should spend more time double/triple checking systems and asking themselves "how can we make what we have better?", instead of waiting for customer to complain or provide data.

    Sadly, I think drop rates are borked. If they are "dropping as intended", it's set at a pathetic rate and causing more frustration than enticement. Also, it is very discouraging to look at the prices on the market if you are a buyer.

    It's about time for the Devs to reevaluate the entire loot and reward system.

  21. Here I thought you marketeers were going to be pushovers ha. I like the no BS around these parts.

    So anyway, I never really payed attention to drop rates until this occured so I don't have bunch of data to throw down. Yeah a little sarcasm in the OP but 5 to 1 is a big difference. It takes a lot of time to generate numbers for data on PvP kill/recipe ratios, and at some point in a couple of months I will, but smaller numbers cannot be completely discounted. Had The numbers been 5/5, 5/4 or 5/3 I would not have mentioned anything but 5/1 is off in any scenario.

    Also, part of me enjoys the 10 billion in earnings from low/inconsistant drop rates and milking the market, but it can also be frustrating when one toon is racking up the good stuff while another toon is racking up common salvage.

    Hero- 5 recipes

    Villain- 1 recipe

    Drop rates seem low overall and are clearly inconsistant.

    Please check into PvP recipe drop rates as well. They seem awfully low and drop inconsistantly per character.

    Just as an example, I have 2 toons with roughly the same kill count but...

    Hero- 5 PvP recipes.
    Villain- 1 PvP recipe.

    Something is definately wrong or this is just additional proof that you hate Villains.

    Big thanks for this. A while back I had come across the NPC Lt. Sefu Tendaji and made a quick note on the Protective Shield power he buffed you with but I had forgotten until now.

    I had always felt FFs could use a little help and change myself so, here are some ideas.


    OK first, here is the specific buff from Lt. Sefu Tendaji...

    Here is the idea...
