1. Remove Suppression in the current form and change it to Tribhavok's suggestion.

2. Remove DR.

3. Remove Heal Decay.

4. Give us back Mez Protection and provide X amount of Mez Resistance to ATs without Mez Protection.

5. Put back -Max Run Speed.

6. Closely look at EACH AT and power with PvP in mind.

7. Make improvements to underperforming sets and powers.

8. Allow us to customize our powers attack types (ST, Cone, Targeted AoE, PBAoE...) and secondary effects.

9. Improve Endurance Recovery.

10. Rep cash-in system to purchase PvP IOs.

11. Turn off broadcast chat in PvP zones.

12. Buff pet movement speed.

13. Remove the PvP Resistance bonus and keep the damage holes closed in our "shields".

14. Provide free enhancements to all Fight Club Police members.

15. Consult macskull prior to any additional changes.

16. I will have more suggestions.

17. After a Fight Clubber is arrested by the Fight Club Police have them transported to jail with a 30 minute locked in timer.

18. Create Fight Club Police badges with ranks for X amount of arrests. Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Inspector, Chief...

19. PvP server.

20. In addition to signature Heroes and Villains spawning in RV, I would like to see random red names appear as well.

21. I would like to see the statue of Atlas or Recluse animate and attack the faction that has lost. Also, have the dimensional reset occur only after the animation has been defeated.

22. Leader boards would be awesome.

23. Statues to commemorate the current 1st place Heroes and Villains on the leader boards.

24. The Endurance Recovery boost icon should be named [END]REITANNA.

25. All Hide, Invis and Stealth activation animations should be like Reiraku's forum avatar.

26. We might be able to totally trash Suppression if we can change the secondary effects of our powers!

27. Change Blaze to Galactic Blaze because it sounds cooler.

28. If you can't provide a PvP server at least give out free transfers to the Fight Club Police force and Sharker Quint so they can maintain order and arrest some of the most wanted and annoying outlaws.

These are all ideas I can support to their fullest.

I agree with the following; 1,2, 3, 5, 7, 12, 19, 20 (although they should be more powerful then normal heroes/villains) and 21 may be kinda fun if it helped balance. As for the rest...

Your asking for them to look at every AT and power? that's a lot of work they probably won't even consider, your asking for the impossible.

They shouldn't improve end recovery, that's something you have to fix yourself, it's one of the few things that seperate noobs to non-noobs in a zone. It's a challenge that 'I' for one like getting past.

broadcast on freedoom should be turned off, even i can't stand it there, but it's positive and nice to have on every other server.

lol free enhancements to fight club police? i'm not surprised, you guys want easy kills and now easy money, lazy jerks. I work for what i have and i actually have a sense of accomplishment.

macskull may represent the forums, but most the pvpers i know don't like him.

Police are in this world to enforce rules, there are no rules in city of heroes therefore no police. The FC police are useless, idiotic and find themselves funny while not. How would a 30 min timer be helpful? If you want to kill the zone why not just ask that it's maximum number can only be 3, so you and a friend can constantly kill 1 person?

As for 4/8/13 i don't have enough experience for my opinion be accurate or worthy. I'd only be guessing.

leave it to sentry to turn another "for fun" thread in the PvP section into a garbage disposal for his mouth. seriously dude, STFU. just because you can't understand that zone PvP is where duels do not belong doesn't give you the right to come to the forums and ruin a section where PvP'ers have fun. if it wouldn't be a waste of $10 to transfer a toon to your server to make you my ***** i do it in a heart beat. do us all a favor and stay out of the PvP threads. kthxbai.

I like the idea of damage being related to animation time, but not the idea of animation time being the only factor. In the current case you have issues where pool powers are sometimes superior to in-set powers and you have issues were tier 3 attacks (hello, Blaze, and Bitter Ice Blast) are actually worse in practice than the tier 1 and 2 attacks.

Needless to say I think that's a mistake that goes back to the beginning of the game, when the original developers didn't realize just how much an impact animation time would have on usage of powers. If it'd been done from the beginning for both PvE and PvP we might have a damage system that makes sense, but since it wasn't, we have what we've got now.

Big thanks for this. A while back I had come across the NPC Lt. Sefu Tendaji and made a quick note on the Protective Shield power he buffed you with but I had forgotten until now.

I had always felt FFs could use a little help and change myself so, here are some ideas.


OK first, here is the specific buff from Lt. Sefu Tendaji...
Protective Shield- Ranged, Ally +Defense (Smash, Lethal, Fire, Cold, Energy, Negative), +Resisitance (Toxic, End Drain)


Here is the idea...

*Deflection Shield: Ranged, Ally +Defense (Smash, Lethal, Fire, Cold, Energy, Negative), +Resistance (Toxic, End Drain)

*Insulation Shield: Ranged, Ally +Defense (Psionic, Melee, Ranged, AoE) +Resistance (Confusion, Placate, Sleep, Taunt, Terrorize) +Perception.

Or...

*Insulation Shield: Ranged, Ally +Defense (Melee, Ranged, AoE) +Resistance (Psionic, Confusion, Placate, Sleep, Taunt, Terrorize) +Perception.

Also,

Or...

The true problem in pvp stems from recent changes as well as problems that date back to the beginning of the game.
The biggest problem I have is travel suppression, the best thing about CoX is its fast paced nature, as soon as you strip that away the game becomes blander. Now I do realize that melee has a huge disadvantage in PvP which is why I think travel suppression should not slow down characters so much as to where they are practically at a standstill, but travel suppression should be by a decent amount as to where a melee character would be able to catch a caster. I also believe that melee should have no travel suppression which would fix some of the problems that they have now.

Status effects are another thing, why was this ever changed? What is the point in playing a controller anymore? I can only hold my opponent for a fraction of the time required to actually make progress and win the fight. Reverse this update, it was a terrible idea in the first place.

Heal decay, terrible idea. Blaster spikes pump out huge damage, when I used to play an empath it could take an infuse + a secondary heal on a teammate to prevent the huge loss of health that two fire blasters can coordinate. By nerfing healers you are not going to the source of the problem which is clear mind and other status protection skills. Clear mind is a ridiculous skill, it should have diminishing return, i.e. the first cast is the strongest, and every cast which stacks on top of the first would be reduced by a certain amount (i'm thinking it should be halved). By reducing this, you can have so much more variety in team builds because now hold become a viable option. Before you would never see a controller in a lineup unless it was an empath or a full ill/storm team.

Now on to other things,
Remove the ******** that is the damage resistance. Devs: Oh your ice/cold corr wants to kill something in sirens? Here let's add a **** ton of resistance to every target so that you do even less damage.

Would it be so difficult to place an arena terminal in pvp zones?

PVP ONLY CHARACTERS - gives full access to all enhancements and the character starts at level 50. This would make pvp alive again, I guarantee it.

Corruptor scourge should start to trigger at 75% health

Holy crap, I haven't played in 2 years and I am coming back and they STILL have npc's in pvp zones? Yeah it is so much freaking fun to run into the longbow on my ice/cold corr and then get completely wrecked by them while my opponent goes afk in the middle of the mob.

Anyway this is just my two cents, I used to play regularly for LoT/LolVirtue (old redside ladder team) and at one point I was the 2nd best empath to play on Virtue (yea lol virtue, but whatever I am almost as good of an empath as manheim, who played on virtue and for velocity)

Yup, though I had to miss a lot of them later on just after my kid was born. (Seriously, being a first time parent plays hell with your gaming schedule).

I wish I could have gotten my schedule worked out better so I could actually join the test team. It looked like way too much fun.
