On my stalker I have recall friend and 'port both two slotted with Time + Space for the two 8% regin buffs. On a char with no -kb its a good place to put one.

What level, build are you now? I am a little surprised 'port doesn't attack your end bar. Then again you may have no toggles.
Im level 48 rignt now. I noticew if I run teleport with PFF I dont lose much. If I have other toggles on, which I rarely do it can eat a bit of endurance. But Its a travel power. I recharge well before I need to do anything, even in TF's. I just plain up dont find it end draining to me.

Even in battle the end cost is negligable, I think because my controller attacks are not to end demanding.

I like the stealth, and added with PFF I can do most Tf's in a speedy way, minus the limited control off Teleport, but I have learned more how to use it effectively. And with the stealth added, I draw little attention from others if I teleport to a different tier of a map, and with a target I can totaly catch a group unaware of me with a group hold, like Grav Dist Field without taking any form of damage.

I was originally wanting a respec to change my more solo build to a more controller build as end game content requires me to attack less and controll more, but after a couple days of adventuring, Im not sure I would change this aspect of teleportation. It just seems to do what I need for right now.

Although...and many people hate it, I do wish I could fit hover into my build.

    Singy!

Well, I am a Force Fielder, and Singy gets his FF as well. So my Singy seems really stable...odd for being an unstable thing to begin with. He is pretty stout.

I have added some Pet IO's and well, I do notice a bit more damage. But it's not that much.

Ill try some of these ideas. There seems like many ways one can really build this guy
  3. I have always wanted an Eldritch Set. Mystical Blasts as the powers seem to lack a "Magical Origin" feel.

It's 100% Versatile. It could do pretty much any type of effect. Could have some neat Runic animations. Although I would love a chance of Confusion for some of the blasts or a debuff to attack simulating curses or hexes.

Not long confusion, but just enough. a minor secondary effect really.

Oh how lovely would it be to expell a blast of rune shapes at your enemy!

    *Flies away on magical pegacorn*

    Teleport

I sort of like the added stealth, and I do use it as a travel power and I do not find it endurance draining to me. Although, I usually travel inside a bubble, but I find that stealth allows me to sometimes assist by detracting aggro from me to get a mass AOE hold.

Ok, so some people do slot it. I just wanted to make sure that I was not wasting slots. Right now this set offers me Range, Stealth and the bonus is regeneration.

I wouldn't bother slotting for Immob.

The +resist (and +def in your case) uniques go well with him too since he's got decent resistances to build upon.
Oh ok. Thats a different approach to what I thought. Ill try that out.

    Teleport

I slotted it with the time space IOs. One with Range and one that grants stealth. So far I like it. Would you slot teleport in the first place? Should I slot it with one more slot to get the entire set?

Or is this just a waste of time. I found these and already had the salvage, so I decided to do it. The last one I would need would be the Endurance IO, but Im not sure if perhaps it's a waste of slotty goodness.
  7. Hmmmmm.

Propel gets mention because of it's neatorific effect. To bad it misses tons and is slower than turtles with bricks tied to their feet.

Widows Poison Dart gets mention because the sound effect (Shnikt!)

Force Bubble Gets Mention because...Well...for an Oh Shoot Button watching everything fling away just feels awesome.

DB Gets mention because of the fact that it looks beautifull.

Radiations Snipe is Awesome to hear and look at. It feels Comic booky Cartoony good!

Most powerfull (Im not talking damage) are Oil Slick arrow and Ice Slick. Because it messes baddies up...bad!

    Singy!

First off. This pet rules! It's my BFF.

I love how it works, and I love how during ambushes it starts making that Uh oh, screaming sound when things approach it. Alerting me to evil!

    How do you slot it?

Says it takes pet stuff for recharge intesive pets, but it seems like I never need to really worry about that ever.

Do you just Frankenslot it? Right now Im just using 2 accuracy 2 Hold, and 2 Imob. I don't need the knockback. Im Grav/FF I really don't need it.

Just asking what you find most effective with this pet. I feel like Im just using it to make mags for controlling stuff.

Nah. The Thermodynamic concepts presented to me kind of resparked my concept. I looked at soul and then I really looked at the Kheld, and while khelds do use neg energy based powers many of the names imply gravitation, so as a gravity controller I have the feel I wanted.

Now with the fire, Im stating in my story that things like Worm Hole, or Propel have allowed her to channel cosmic forces of Black Holes, (Not that far off) which absorb all light and heat and everything, and she is able to open, on her end the opposite side of that Black Hole, which is eating a small sun (Somewhere) expelling heat radiation absorbed in the form of flames etc.

Soul focuses on some of the Khelds background powers, but I wanted my toon to gave the feel of a Kheld when her mutation occured. However, I don't 100% want to match them because I want the Warshade to be an aspect but not try to create a sub par version.

I think it works now. Plus, fire is really giving me some AOE and alt damage types.

This was the first time this happend but I can already see how big of a pain a bug like this can be. I hope someone can offer some help on how to fix/avoid this.
On a good ITF Ill Mapserver 2 times. Never having to use the task manager though. I do on the other hand have to go back to the log in screen and then reselect my toon and bounce back in.

It's chat though. If I am silent and do not type something then I am much safer. Or maybe thats just in my head, but it's when I notice things happening the most. Especially during idle times when you are just awaiting a mission and people chat. If I chat it seems that it's when it occures.
  11. Im only bumping this because no other game has this issue. And I run intensive games,

Please help, because I have thing else to work with. Im giving up!
  12. I put everything in red here from that analyzer. I have no idea what it means or how to change it.

    Network buffer measurements (?):

Uplink 1700 ms, Downlink 740 ms

We estimate your uplink as having 1700 msec of buffering. This is quite high, and you may experience substantial disruption to your network performance when performing interactive tasks such as web-surfing while simultaneously conducting large uploads. With such a buffer, real-time applications such as games or audio chat can work quite poorly when conducting large uploads at the same time.
We estimate your downlink as having 740 msec of buffering. This level can in some situations prove somewhat high, and you may experience degraded performance when performing interactive tasks such as web-surfing while simultaneously conducting large downloads. Real-time applications, such as games or audio chat, may also work poorly when conducting large downloads at the same time.

The resolver at 192.168.0.1 was unable to process the following tested types:
    • Medium (~1300B) TXT records
    • Large (~3000B) TXT records
    • Large (~3000B) TXT records fetched with EDNS0
It does not validate DNSSEC. The resolver reports the following properties:
    • Hostname: srv02.totftds.int.distributel.net
    • Version: MetaDNS - 5.1
DNS resolver port randomization (?): OK
Your ISP's DNS resolver does not randomize its local port number. This means your ISP's DNS resolver is probably vulnerable to DNS cache poisoning, which enables an attacker to intercept and modify effectively all communications of anyone using your ISP.
We suggest that, if possible, you immediately contact your network provider, as this represents a serious vulnerability.

    What should I do?
  13. I have been having this issue since I rejoined the game 7 months ago. I noticed a wierd trend of chat. If the chat box is busy I tend to crash. If I type I can crash. If I spend to much time writing a bio, Ill crash.

This has gotten so bad that I dont know what to do at all.
  14. Wow...Ok. And yes! You all gave me some great concepts. I was reading a little about the Khelds Homeworld, the Gas Giant, and took some of the gravity concepts and the Black Hole Statement.

Generating heat using gravitational pull is not far off at all, and considdering the Kheld planet would have to have a high gravitational center to ensure the planets mass would not decay, it can fit with her Mutation of being linked with gravity as a Warshade.

Heat generation from a back hole can siphon even a burning nova/sun eventually overtime, so the concept that she is able to create gravitation pulls powerfull enough to siphon heat and then wield it is ok.

I agree soul would have been a better option but she is a hero and as the story goes, generally speaking, she was a good person and Rift-Dancer would never return to his darker path.

But now that I am experimenting with Science (Icky) I have some things to work with.

Ether that or...I am a level 5 Wizard (That was neato although for a brief moment I was gonna smack you with my Thac/0)

Thanks. I feel better about fire.

Actually. The whole concept of Lydia was what she had breast cancer. And in a fight for her life Rift-Dancer became infatuated with her. She had gone through chemo and radiation therapy, so perhaps her exposure to radiation when the Keld merged with her had a latend effect of fire.

Again, this might not be cannnon but it was what I thought was an interesting thought. So perhaps it could explain why she now has some fire related powers, due to radiation. Like Jean, who was telekinetic and telepathic but occasionally manifested pyrokinetic styles of power. (Although that will always remain a comicbook nerd debate...even though I like the idea)

I was just wondering, without set comprimises if someone had a cool way of perhaps running an Epic pool power into a story. Because right now...it's not fitting, but super effective! Sometimes thing just don't mesh, so I was just asking if there was a clever way of changing my story to include it.

    Like seriously.

    Grav/FF/Fire?

Hell, he even toted around the Uni-Power for a bit.

Your hero has been traveling the world, kicking butt, taking names, and getting exposed to all sorts of queer energy and mystical effects. Who's to say WHAT effects that'd have on a superhuman metabolism. Not to mention the fact that your hero may have had various dormant metahuman traits that pre-disposed them towards high-level fire powers.

So one day he's locking the bad guy down HARD, and the next thing he knows, his captive bursts into flames. Kind of a firey "Scanners Headsplody" effect.

"Now where the hell did THAT come from?"
Well, I cant color the Epic fire Purple or what not. But Fireball is definately coming in handy. Primal Forces seemed good, but as a controller I did not see Soul Mastry or anything dark based.

I had Fire, Ice, Stone, Psionic, and primal. I thought I could color the fire.

I think I went fire because I already have knockback and Stone and Primal offer knockback. Psionic, I liked, and it was between that and fire really. But My build lacks any form of AOE options. I just can't color the fire. Or when I go to the tailor it's just not an option.
  17. Okie. Story nightmare.

    So, I hit 41 (Yay!!!)

My toon concept is that she was merged with a Kheldian Warshade. Lydia (The toon) was sepperated from him (The Warshade) and through mutation kept the powers of Gravity and could create Force Fields.

So, I went through all of the powers and I wanted stone, because of gravity's effect on the earth, but then I clicked fire because I already do smashing damage and thought Id have more edge with fire, which I do actually.

Now, my concept is, well, plain off.

I even teleport and stuff like a Kheldian. I have stuck very close to my theme, but this busted my theme. I could do a respec I know, but I sort of like fire, Im just not sure how to work it in. Why would I have fire?

I thought maybe because of cosmic forces. But still...meh, I cant figure it out.

If you have an idea that would be appreciated.
  18. I wanted a Unicorn Travel Power. Ooooh...Or a Pegacorn!
  19. Truthfully, the red version of the story is better...sort of.

I don't find this a hard story to finish. But it is CoT, which annoy people.

Cim being opened up in any other fashion though just seems as though it would not work with the story at all.

It's a popular zone yes, but with going rogue and the Midnighters being yet another way to access both red and blue side, id say it's desirable to do anyways.
  20. It does ignite better than it used to.

But I have seen where my Apprentice Charm ignites it more than my other powers, which baffles me.
  21. /Poison does do well. With Demons I have done it. Poison does shred things quite a bit.

Alas, the only issue with poison is that you have to play it still, after you get bored of soloing AV's and GM's.

Just tried to come up with something. I figured even Javlins would work somewhere in replacement, but I went the eastern route instead. Also, it would be a great set for the Blappers because of the range aspect, keeping them at a safe range only to move into melee. (DoT's) Are also wonderfull at mitigating the aggro pull off of tank. Or so I have noticed.

Leo G, has much more experience than I when creating these things. Obviously!, I would love to see something he could throw together.
  23. I love Radiation Blast/MM

I am 100% Sure that this is not the most damaging power option, but not missing by debuffing defences I have not had to slot much accuracy. Hitting more means doing more DPS and Rad helps me to do an attack chain without a miss, and well, others get to do theirs as well.

MM is just not highly resisted but with Rads debuff to defenses it just makes things so much smoother.

Your job is support, and part of your job (if you're going to do it well) is to figure out how to maximize that support. When your team doesn't need your buffs to survive, then you need to prioritize your efforts on the only thing that will help the team: doing more damage. Adrenaline Boost and Fortitude can be offensive or defensive tools. If your tank is able to survive every spawn, he doesn't bloody need fortitude and adrenaline boost and it would do much better on the damage dealers in the group.
You know I wont argue that. I can't argue that because it's correct. I have one tank who needs Adren Boost, but most others are fine. In fact we got him better slotted and he wont be needing much of anything now.

Right now my fave is a bubbler. Everyone gets a bubble...life in bubbles is pretty special, because I don't have to make Sophie's Choice each time I cast a power. Life...Is good.
