One of the best you can make is a fire/Mental blaster, Animations are fast so the recharges, recharge even faster. more DPS.. Mental because you have -regen in one of your powers that last 30 seconds so you dont have to keep in melee range for long, and you help out alot more.
sonic/Mental is great too because even time you hit you debuff there res by 13%.. but sonic doesn't have as high DPS due to animation times.
Psi blasters do great too, because most the time psi idn't res'd.
If the point is killing AVs on a team, Sonic/mm. Even if Sonic itself might have lower DPS, the stacked -res makes up for it.
Most single target damage? Fire/Electric, no question. Blaze plus your melee attacks and Lightning Field are going to put out truly insane DPS, assuming you can survive the PBAoEs and splash damage from AoEs tossed at the tank you're standing next to.
Most contribution to an AV fight? Definitely Sonic/Mental. -Resist boosts the whole team's damage and -regen speeds up AVs considerably. And you can do it from outside melee range except for running in to use Drain Psyche.

I love Radiation Blast/MM
I am 100% Sure that this is not the most damaging power option, but not missing by debuffing defences I have not had to slot much accuracy. Hitting more means doing more DPS and Rad helps me to do an attack chain without a miss, and well, others get to do theirs as well.
MM is just not highly resisted but with Rads debuff to defenses it just makes things so much smoother.
