There IS a tutorial about enhancements available in-game. It's available via Menu -> Help -> Rewards. There's also a help file on Inventions and about five help files on the Architect. And let's not try to bring up the "people wouldn't know where to find it" argument. It's an option called HELP in the frikkin' MAIN MENU. Where else would it be?

Some badgers, like many people on the internet, are too full of their own entitlement. And I can say that because I'm a badger that's spent a =lot= of time in RV.
Yes, I got the Isolator badge the hard way, by finding the Contaminated dude in the train station, before you could flashback to Outbreak.
I'm still working on my Heavy and Pillbox badges.
I don't PVP. If I'm attacked I'll usually just stand there (Ok, get it over with) so I can log off in the hospital and switch to a different character.
Some people just feel the need to show their braided panties to everyone. Sheesh.

Besides, if the devs were datamining dropped missions and were aware of my pain points, they'd already have stopped having contacts give me "Defeat <count> <faction>" missions.

Yes, there are outliers like "I only PVP" or "I only run MA for merits" or whatever, but in the new throwaway gaming mentality, why shorten a gamer's mental investment?
