That's fine, but I personally think the proc is a waste unless you are a person that solos primarily. If you team even 30% of the team its pointless because your teammates will defeat whatever Phantom Army would be attacking, excluding Monsters and Archvillains. In my opinion accuracy and recharge are the best things to slot in Phantom Army.

The damage that the proc provides is not impressive nor is the 16% chance for it to fire off for each decoy.

Personal preference, not saying anyone is wrong for doing it, but if I did it I would feel like I was wasting something.

I am not talking about a difference in reference to ED though. My statement in reference to recharge in general. My build is slotted for global recharge so having perma-PA is my main focus. That last part was just a little bit to add on to what I had said previously.

As for ED slotting I think anything 90% or more is suitable, but then again thats just me.
  3. Add purples for what? If you are soft capped what exactly are you looking to achieve by adding purples?

If you are wanting to add them for more recharge there are far cheaper ways to add recharge without sacrificing defense. Looking at your build I can see a lot of ways to keep your melee and ranged defense capped and increase your recharge but you would need to reslot with different IO sets than you currently have.
  4. If you are thinking about going Spines/Regen, you should go Spines/Willpower instead. I use mine for Tanking when teams need it, but I made it back when Willpower came out with the sole purpose of farming inf and recipes and its s beast of a combination.

A lot of people go Spines/Dark, its way too common in my opinion.
  5. On my Psi/MM I have it slotted in the following way:

    Theft of Essence - Acc/Heal
    Touch of Nictus - Acc/Heal
    Doc Wounds - Hea/Rech
    Harm Healing - Heal/Rech
    Numina - Heal/Rech
    Miracle - Heal/Rech

It gives the power 46%, 101% healing, and 93% recharge.

With the amount of recharge my build has I use DP similar to a Regen Scrapper using Instant Healing.
  6. If you are using the version that wasn't done by Mids you can use VBulletin still, that's what I use.

I am curious how to you handle knockbacks? When I tested pure human PB not having KB protection was unbearable to me.
Knockback has never been an issue for me. The only time I am on the ground is when I use Solar Flare and since that has good knockback that pretty much clears the area of anyone that would knock me back. If I do not open with SF I will open with Pulsar which will stun enemies and I can then follow up with Build Up and Solar Flare. I stay in Combat Flight most of the time.

Also with my recharge I can keep Pulsar and Solar Flare up very often so they are ready every group and sometimes multiple times in a group. I also use Photon Seekers very often and that mitigates damage while dealing realy good damage. Right now I have her doing Daedelus' arc and last night against some 52s she was able to do 100+100+100 to the near by targets when I used Photon Seekers.

If you need some advice on your build just send me a PM with any questions you may have and I would be happy to help you if I am able.

Popping a Blue and using Lightform is a good exit-strategy and the whole fight should not take long enough for KB to become a problem, at least not when all goes according to plan.

    Am I right, Novella?
That pretty much sums it up exactly.
  9. Here is by Elec/SR build that I will be using once I can start leveling her up. The only IOs I still need to get are three more Luck of the Gambler +7.5% recharge and she will be complete.

Hope you can get some ideas from my build on how to boost your positional defense. My build is sitting at 47% melee, 47% ranged, 32% area of effect.

FYI - If you were to select Claws instead of Elec melee it would give you 44.5% melee, 44.5% ranged, and 31.2% area if effect. Not exactly the soft cap but if you were to take Maneuvers instead of Assault it would raise your defense to 46.7% melee, 46.7 ranged, and 33.6% area of effect.

Fair enough. My opinion of Peacebringers has always been that you need to have a plan on what you want them to do before you even make them because they are a lot more utilitarian than a Warshade or any other AT for that matter. When I had my Warshades I knew that she would be Blaster/Mitigator until 38, and then Blaster/Tanker until 50. Warshades are very straight forward where as Peacebringers are not, at least in my opinion.

Once you have a general sense of what you want to do outside of being either fulltime Nova or Dwarf it will help you see what you can achieve with them.

    I replied to your message.

You should log her own and start leveling her up. Human form Peacebringers are awesome. Those that love Blasters with melee and ranged will love human form Peacebringers even more because you have mitigation in the form of shields, you can help and with a good team build you can basically be running around with Scrapper level resistance caps and Blaster damage.

Below you will find my build as it appears on the live servers. All of the IOs in the build are level 40 with the exception of the Soulbound Allegiance IOs.

No other toon in the game can self max resistance and dmg. Not to mention self heal, rez and have pets. I highly recomend getting some great binds to help you out before saying they fail. For instance i have 1 button for each form that will shift my trays around bringing up the forms powers. In addition human form also toggles on his shields. I am still working out a budget to purple him out, he is that much fun.
Your 2 inf is based on the idea that a person has to take forms and use binds to have them work well and that is not true. My human Peacebringer works well for any situation and doesn't need binds at all. As someone pointed out recently, with the introduction of more power trays you do not need to have binds if you are one of the people that chooses to use forms.

I've always wanted to be able to have Longbow as the hero epic class and have them make Kheldians a normal AT heroside. I love Kheldians and Widows equally and won't say one is better than the other. Personally I think the arguement that people are having in this topic is completely foolish because its a matter of personal opinion and some people can't seem to realize that.

The boards can be helpful when you are getting information from the right sources. I like how you were able to get the capped area of effect defense. Normally I do not worry about area of effect defense because melee and ranged tend to be the only types that I ever face for the most part. My Elec/SR build has 45% melee, 45.6%, and 39.8% area of effect, but its all done using IOs without any extra toggles and it 70% recharge which I am still working on getting closer to 80%.

  15. Personally I would go Touch of Death because it stacks nicely with Divine Avalanche if you have that power in your build.
  16. Ima that's actually a pretty nice build although I personally don't like taking healing pool. Good build never the less. My next project is my Elec/SR which I hope to get to once I get done relevleing my Blaster back to 50.
  17. I used Ex. Reinforcement (Acc/Rech, Acc/Dam, Dam/End, and Acc/Dam/Rech) and Soulbound Allegiance (Acc/Rech, and Dam/Rech). I personally think slotting the proc in them is pointless because unless you are a soloer 100% it won't really matter since whatever you are fighting will be dead from your other teammates, etc. If you solo then I might understand why slotting the proc would make sense, but probably not.

I slotted mine that way because I wanted mac recharge and my build allows for perma PA so slotting the proc would have also not made much sense for me.

There are a lot of ways to slot PA, but the one that keeps them up the most often is the best way to slot them.

No. That was in response to the last build that TechBot posted.

I was just trying to get a feel for what the OP is trying to achieve with his Peacebringer.

    Help with a PB

What kind of character are you trying to make because from the look of your build I see many holes, but then again I also don't know your play style or what you are trying to achieve.

I can see that you are going to be form heavy, but outside of forms you look to be pretty fragile in human form.
  20. I think too many people focus on damage per second rather than just making a character and enjoying the powers. I personally love Shockwave, and especially Eviscerate. The damage for each power is excellent and shouldn't be skipped by a Claws Scrapper in my opinion.
  21. If you are wanting soft cap you need to take out some of those Crushing Impacts and replace them with a mixture of Touch of Death and Mako's Bite which will give you melee and ranged defense. As for area of effect you aren't really going to need to cap that so I wouldn't worry about it.

If you need a specific build I can upload the Claws/SR build that I made for a friend that uses capped melee and ranged defense and it fairly cheap.

As I said in your other topic, you can't really get a sense of Peacebringers or Warshades in just 20 and 19 levels. You need to spend copius amounts of time on them in various situations to get a feel for how excellent they really are.

The damage you take on a Peacebringer or Warshade is actually less than what you would take on a Blaster, Controller, or Defender so it you consider it extreme then you must consider it ungodly when playing any other AT excluding Tanks or Scrappers.

The endurance usage is also less on Peacebringers/Warshades when compared to normal ATs and less than what people have dealt with with Night Widows. Until you have played a Night Widow you have not seen endurance issues.

    Power Boost

I was mistaken. There is a change in speed when I activate the power. I realized that I was already in hover when I actived the power and it wasn't going any faster, but once I toggled it off and back on I moved faster according to power information in game.

Thank you all for the responses.
