I need a full set of ToD and Mako and trying to figure out which is better for damage. Assuming I take lvl 40 of each (really looking at 38, but close enough), which one would you place in a "filler" attack and which one would you put in your "damage" attack? - I'm Katana so difference in End Red is irrelevant and accuracy, well, let's not worry about that diff (yes, the real question is which would you put in GC and which in SD)

A full set of Touch of Death provides ED-capped damage, while a full set of Mako's only provides about 85% damage enhancement at level 38. Mako has slightly more accuracy and recharge however.

ToD

Accuracy: 42.53%
Damage: 96.3%
Endurance: 61.43%
Recharge: 42.53%

Mako

Accuracy: 59.06%
Damage: 85.67%
Endurance: 59.06%
Recharge: 59.06%

Personally I would go Touch of Death because it stacks nicely with Divine Avalanche if you have that power in your build.

OK, not sure my question was clear. It's OK, don't worry about it. I know the numbers, so it really boils down to the damage proc and damage boost. Anyhow, I kinda thought ToD was better dmg wise and I guess I'll go with that, just thought I might query those "in the know".

I'd put Touch of Death in the heavy hitter if it will provide enough recharge. A high damage attack will benefot more from the extra 10% damage... but only if the lower recharge doesn't make you change to a less effective attack chain.

Actually, I'd put Touch of Death in both if possible and get my Ranged defense elsewhere... not having ED capped damage on a high DPA attack is annoying.

Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name

If you are not after the ToD +melee def, I'd drop the ToD proc and slo tin the mako 4 part.
