If crap continues to come out ( Jonah Hex , Punisher ) , then sure people will tired of this genre . Still on the fence with this X Men reboot also , really Prof X and Mags are played by guys nearly the same age ?

Name : Celestial Sentinels
Currently Recruiting : Yes , Wednesday night @ 8pm est till 10 pm . New members must be able to log on a regular basis to team .
RP Level : Medium to High
PvP Level : None at the moment
Theme/Concept : The Celestial Guardians have been brought together to battle forces greater than Paragon earth's heroes , namely Rularuu from the Shadow Shard and other assorted GM .
Activity : We have members from different time zones . Our heroes are either alien or obtained their abilities through other means . No specific costume style is required .
This is a static team currently consisting of 3-4 active members each Wednesday and would love to have 8 members on a regular basis to run the cool TF's this game offers . Current level is between 25-30 but if you have a toon in the teens , you are more than welcome to join us .
Requirements for Membership : Just be on Wednesday and be willing to RP and have fun with a great group of heroes
Leadership : Gleaming Bolt - Leader

Other Details : The Celestial "concept" is more or less like the Nova Corps . Any AT is accepted as well . We also have a well stocked base with teleporters and even a theatre !!! What more can a hero want ? -

Back in my Pen and Paper days of roleplaying, one of the games I played was a diceless RPG. That's right... diceless... as in pure roleplaying. Anyway, one of the things the game recommended, was to ask yourself some questions about your character that have no impact on stats, but on the character's individual personality.
Though I have long ago retired my Pen and Paper games, and the original list is long gone, I thought it may be useful for me to put together my own list here for CoX roleplayers. The purpose is not so much for people to respond with their answers for all to read (though, feel free to do so). It is more for them to get themselves to answer the questions for themselves and to think of the character from a roleplaying point of view--as an individual rather than as an extension of the player.
- Where does your character get his or her laundry done?
- In a philosophical discussion of death, how would your character describe the perfect death?
- What is your character's favorite food or drink? What food or drink do they absolutely hate?
- Describe your character's personal bedroom. Is it in your supergroup's base or somewhere else?
- How would your character's father describe him or her?
- Would the description be any different coming from his or her mother?
- If you (the player) were to meet the character, what would you most DISLIKE about the character, from a personality standpoint. (Do NOT think of what you don't like about limitations on pwoersets...think personality)
Have fun with it, and, as I said, feel free to expand on the list.

7. Dislike - has superhuman powers but at times is reluctant to use it to help others . He means well and wants things to work out themselves but it comes at a cost . Innocent people can be hurt or are needlessly put in harms way ( think of the watchers from Fringe , if you watch that show ) but the heroes of Paragon are helping him to see a different path . -

What a difference a few weeks make . After speaking with who I thought was the City Hall Rep , I was told to enter the Shadow Shard to find our missing friends , not realizing just how dangerous it would turn out to be .
Upon reaching Rulaau's temple , I was met by his guards who proceeded to beat me to near death .
As they handed me over , I remember seeing chained to a wall Radio, Crystal and Rumble .
They were being tortured to such a degree , I can't even fully express in words .
This Rulaau is one dangerous individual .
As he float over to me , one of his guards handed him the "Black Death" , a mind control parasite from the Sector 5 quadrant .
After that I blanked out and found myself fully healed and back in Paragon .
It seemed like an eternity with that thing on me , showing me projections that were not real and fueling an anger in me that I had long forgotten .
The team seems to be distrusting of me now , but I must regain their trust if we have any hope to push back Rulaau to the Shadow Shard forever .......

Weird night to say the least . Can't believe Gleaming Bolt slapped me like that , but I will deal with him soon enough .
My plan to convince the team that Gleaming Bolt and Unaitus were not who they say they were , seems to be going well though Imp questioned my logic on the matter . What does that street urchin even know about anything ?
I need to work harder to get this team on a different path . They are strong enough to possible deal with the Coming Storm , but if I can cause doubt and dissension within , having the team question loyalties and friendships , it will make Rulaau's eventual overtaking of this miserable planet all the more easier .
