Heh, If PvP recipe were to drop, it would be the best PvPIO farm. You need 4 people to start Kahn. One should be rogue and he will need to enter from anywhere other than blue side. There wouldn't be any time limit like in arena or risk of greifing like in PvP zone.

Our Illusionist wasn't able to teleport us, the debuffs were slowing my attack rate, and forget about a hero or vigilante healing or rezzing the 3 rogues on the team.

I have a LOT of AoE attacks and I am sure as I was firing away at Reichman I was probably doing damage to the tank and scrappers but the alternative was to do nothing and watch my team mates die anyway because we wouldn't have had enough damage to defeat any of the AVs in Reichman's chamber otherwise. I never touched my Omega Manuever (or as I call it my mini nuke) because I was afraid of causing a team wipe.

As Valance mentioned we stuck it out and by finding positions where debuff were minimized and AoE damage reduced, along with a SERIOUSLY long battle with Reichman, we hung on for the win. I'd team with any of those people again.. NEVER SAY QUIT! :-D But I certainly hope the devs are working this issue.
No one was trying to enter through RWZ on our runs. What is most important, probably, is that mission should be entered anywhere from blue side to avoid this situation. I think, porting to PD from mission map, coming to blue side and entering mission map again will fix this issue.

Untill this bug fixed, I would advise Rogues to use train station in Founders. I'd also recommend them to skip PI mission. If Rogue's presence on PI mission is necessary, they can get to PI either through RWZ, or Talos->PI Ferry. To enter last mission they can ferry to Talos from PI, get next ferry to Striga and enter the last mission from ferry in Striga.

Can anyone recommend on the Hero side, which story arcs can I do that give the best Merit rewards? Also, which story arcs are repeatable to get the same Merits each time I run them, of course after the 24 hour cool down period.
There is no diminishing return (cooldown) for flashback arcs. You can run them back to back as many and as often as you want.
  6. Last night we were running STF (no tank). All AVs on second mission were running from us as little girls. While I can understand grief flag on minions and LTs (however annoying it is), but IMO, boss and higher, especially AV and GM, shouldn't run at all, but stay put and fiteklub with us.

If there is "Board Train" mission, you can enter it from any Ouroboro: blue or red. That mission is listed as additional destination.
  8. That happens when Rogues on the team enter the missions through Ouroboro. The same happened to our team on 2 different Kahn runs. To avoid this, Rogues should use train until ouro is fixed.

That was my thinking as well: why to bother with red side raids if you can do blue side much more easily and mail your goods around. I think, i18 spelled death ( or near-death ) to red side hamis

It's a bit confusing and seems wasteful.

If you don't do the Faultline arcs but have a contact there they will insist on introducing another Faultline contact even though you have outlevelled the zone. I've had Doc Delilah and Agent G show up as active contacts post level 30.
Agent G was still availble for me at level 50. I was able to breeze through his arc in few minutes for 15 merits reward.

That's fine when you doing it first time. But after you uncovered the map it should stay uncovered, not going dark again after you logged in day later.
  12. IIRC, you can go and talk to contact in Crotoa without reference. Crotoa contact chain could get you to level 35 alone.

That sux. This situation for me like rotten apple in the barrel.

I hope that such restrictions were imposed due to lack of resources and tight deadline for GR/i18 release, but I would like to know, if anyone get any indication from devs that they planning to address it going forward.
  14. I had this problem with Port Oakes map.

My controller got all exploration badges there as well as "Pirate", "Spectral" and associated gladiators. I logged him off in Markoneville building for the Day Job. Next time I logged in, PO map was in "Fog of War". I thought maybe was some rollback, but all badges I got day before were still there.
  15. I had different experience with that:

    1. I got 2 tips in GV
    2. Entered RWZ
    3. Clicked on blus side portal and got popup regarding missions and such.
    4. Canceled popup.
    5. Went to red side portal. Clicked on it and got similar popup as at blus side portal.
    6. Accepted and entered GV.
    7. Both tips were still there.

The same here. I've been searching for contact to get morality mission, until one of my friends, who participated in Beta, explained that I needed another tip. Seems very contra-intuitive to me.

If the TF had started with level 50s in the first mish, we would've been totally alright. Just reassemble the team and restart with a level 50 leader. I just find it frustrating that if this is actually WAI, you get no warnings at all and BAM! you have a TF that's impossible for most teams to complete if you happened to pick a sub-50 leader.
I won't be surprised if it is WAI. CoX has at least 2 TFs/SFs and at least 1 mission where level of some NPCs is hardcoded.
    For example:
    1. STF always spawns all AVs in 4th mission at level 52 and all AVs in 5th mission at level 54.
    2. RSF always spawns FP in 5th mission at level 53.
    3. "Free Statesman" mission from Maria Jenkins always spawns Tyrant at level 50 as minimum. (from paragonwiki: "Tyrant (Archvillain, minimum level 50 regardless of mission owner experience level) ")http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Maria_Je...Free_Statesman
No one of these TFs/missions gives you warning about NPC level, so I don't think LGTF should do it either.

It seems that on some missions that have "built-in" cells that substitute as hospitals once you die, will read as foes once you are down to the last kill. For example, if you are doing a cave mish with those holding cells in them and you come down to the last kill, open up your map and see all of the doors hi-lighted as foes. It's actually pretty funny as I was on some teams that thought they were foes and they all headed over to the cells and no one was there..lol.

Since this new "last object left" tracking system was added, I do find it very helpful (especially in caves) getting to the last objective or kill. I think enough people were complaining prior to that trying to find that blinky or last foe.

Back to the cell doors. Me thinks that because the cell doors are something that can be damaged and/or that you can interact with, the program thinks and reads these as actual foes and thus they show up on the map. I really don't know the true answer so I gave it my best shot..hehe.
IIRC, before last nerf that happened about 1 month ago, you could get XP/Inf for defeating the cell door. Aslo it was one of the ways to get Longbow kills for Heroes. You needed to get mission in Warburg on Longbow map with cells, when you defeated such door, it counted as longbow defeat.

I have a set of settings that works well for play, except for Mothership Raids, where it is just simpler to crank everything to minimum. It's easy to crank to minimum, but with all of the settings now with Ultra Mode, it's a pain inputting everything again when the raid is over.
Graphics settings are stored in the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\COH". You can export them into registry file using "regedit"

You will need to do it twice: first time with your regular settings, second time with ship raid settings.

After you got 2 registry files, you can apply one of them before starting CoH.

No the reason they currently limit our names to 20 characters has more to do with what _Pine_ and je_saist were talking about. It's more a formatting/GUI thing to make sure the way people's names are displayed is reasonable and tidy. Ultimately yes it was an arbitrary decision, but like many things in software development it was a compromise between satisfying the needs of the majority of players versus making sure the GUI screens were formatted correctly.

I'm not against people having the personal freedom to have huge names, but honestly in teaming situations I find it a PITA to deal with having to invite or chat to people with long names. That's actually part of the reason why most of my characters have relatively short names to begin with. YMMV.
Database is only one part of equation. You also have internal data structures and wire protocol that, perhaps, are hardcoded to use 20 characters as maximum name size. In order to change name size, devs would have to change underlying code as well.

    Yes, we are.

Minions, LTs and Bosses lingering around will be dead from splash damage long before AV is taken down.
