If the mission is a talk to or FEDEX it won't send you anywhere. Is this the case?

Maybe there's a possibility that because the mission/TF has been removed 'in game' the crystal indeed does not know where to send you. (i.e. Old Posi TF, Old Maria Jenkins story arcs, etc.)
What mission where you trying to flashback?
