Meh. I'm waiting for the Combat Chihuahua.

Quote:I suspect it has something to do with the suits wanting Media Blitz pushed live before the Player Summit no matter what the actual working state of the issue was. Damned suits.WHAT made the devs think pushing this half-issue through in its current state was a good idea?

That...looks really, really awesome. I'll be there on opening night for this one.
-
Have there been any new CC Emotes put into the game since this was done? If so, is there any chance of an update to include them and the new, purchasable costume slots?
-
...ever gotten all the way through the character creation process and into the game only to realize that they've forgotten what server they're on?

You know, I said this either back on the beta boards or on an SG's private forums, but what I really want out of redside is the opportunity to be a Bond villain. To launch a scheme that eventually allows me to threaten to unleash a doomsday device upon the world unless they pay me off and give me immunity from prosecution afterwards. Something like General Hospital's "Ice Princess" saga, for example. Or a Professor Moriarty type who has minions that get their hands dirty and face arrest while he calmly and smugly manipulates events to his liking. (That one will probably never be possible in any kind of MMO, but one can always dream.
)
The dirty, sadistic, serial-killer type of villain just isn't the type of villain I want to play. The clone arcs redside are a lot closer to what I'm looking for. -
Personally, if I were doing interconnected DC movies, I'd go with the JSA versions of the characters, set it during the run-up to WW2 and call the overall series "Golden Age." This would give an excuse for a slightly lower power level for, say, Superman and allow for better action scenes.
The background villain, who wouldn't fully show up until the team movie ("Justice Society of America: Golden Age"), would be either Vandal Savage or Per Degaton. I'd have him in the background of the individual movies as the plotter behind the scenes of the action and then take center stage in the end.
I'd do individual movies for Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Hawkman and either Dr. Fate or Spectre for a mystic-hero movie.
So, it would be something like:
Superman: Golden Age
Wonder Woman: Golden Age
Batman: Golden Age
The Flash: Golden Age
etcetera, etcetera.
This, I think, would have the potential for movies that would be a lot more enjoyable than a series with the modern, rather overpowered versions of the characters. A back-to-basics approach. I would definitely avoid the grimdark way of doing things for this. Bright colors for everything except Gotham City, Art Deco architectural stylings except for the Greek buildings of Paradise Island, so forth and so on. A very vibrant feel is what I'd want them to have. -
Quote:I'd...actually, really, seriously like to see that. (And, yes, I do have a katana scrapper with the Leaping travel pool. It would be so awesome to see him get stuck up here.* Any dual blades, broadsword, etc character who jumps in an office map while their weapons are out have a 10% chance per jump of sticking in the ceiling.

I was hoping it was about Peter Parker undoing the whole Mephisto crap and getting back with MJ, actually.
Who's this Dinklage guy anyway?
-
I like this idea. You should probably PM it to War Witch and Positron.
-
Lately, for me, it's been the Sport set. Something about it just screams "superhero" and I've used it on my most recent 4 or 5 alts.
-
Did they find the Biggs scenes and put them in? If not, it's just not worth the money for me.
-
I have never seen most of those shows. I guess that means that I just don't "get" pop culture. For me, the complete lack of Night Court on the list (my personal favorite sitcom of all time) left me cold. Thumbs down from me for that list.

Quote:I would greatly appreciate that. They were part of what hooked me on this game and I'm hoping they'll help hook my friend on it too.The link appears to have vanished - I've checked from multiple pages, but no idea where it went (which is kinda annoying). The Paragon Wiki might have them, I don't know.
However, I downloaded all of them as PDFs.
If no one else has a link, give me a bit to put them into one zip file and put it up for download.

Okay, so I just got a friend of mine into the game and wanted to direct her to the comic series (especially the Blue King run) and I can't find the link under the tabs on the CoH page anymore. Does anybody have the address for them?

Quote:Top Ten Reasons You Meddling Do-Gooders Will Never Catch Me...
10) You didn't read my name properly... much like Fake Nemesis, you have fallen for my TinClaw clone!
9) Because I have mined the floor on which you stand with 1000 Whoopie Cushions filled with poison gas!
8) Because you're do-gooders... and beating me up wouldn't be very NICE now... would it?
7) Because I'm covered from head to toe in bacon grease! Even if you grab me I'll squirt right out of your grasp! How did I have time to put on the bacon fat when I didn't know you were coming 'til now? Ummm... It's top secret.... and it has nothing to do with me being naked either...
6) Because any moment now a horde of love-slave Carnival of Shadows and Knives of Artemis soldiers will arrive to save their Lord of Naughtiness! Aaaaany moment now.... Yep... jus' a few more seconds.... aaaaaand NOW! No.. okay NOW! Errrr... can I make a quick call?
5) Because this is a Task Force and you're only on the first mission... DUH!
4) Why should I even bother telling you why you can't catch me? Like most people in the game you have me on Ignore already anyway...
3) Because by the time you've read this far I've already left the room, accessed my secret tunnel, climbed in my get-away Rocket Unicorn and gotten half-way to the next mission door.
2) BEHOLD! Before fighting me you must best my SPAM GOLEM! And you without the required Holy Spork of Slaying...
1) You forgot the dog. No group of meddling do-gooders can unmask or defeat the bad guy without the dog.
*dies laughing*Especially the final one.

At work and blocked from store sites. Does this include Going Rogue or just the very, very, very basic game? And can I buy it as a gift for someone else or only for myself?
-
What, no Chuck Berry yet?
"No Particular Place to Go" is the best for driving. Not to mention "Johnny B. Goode."
"Fun Fun Fun" by the Beach Boys too.
Some appreciation for the real classics, please. -
Personally, I'd like to see them made available in Ouro the way the Calvin Scott TF and original Positron TF are. But I'm weird like that.
-
The Blue King Crew, namely Apex (as he looked in the comics -- the Vanguard Armor he's got now doesn't really suit him) and War Witch. Oh, and can we please somehow get Horus in-game somewhere?
Other than that, I think Positron has a great look. The glowing outline on his armor pieces really make the outfit.
Hero One/Honoree too has an awesome look.
Statesman is almost awesome, but his faceplate needs to be turned into a full helmet. It just doesn't quite look right as-is.
Back Alley Brawler's uniform has a "don't mess with me" vibe that I like.
Most of the other Signature Characters have costumes/uniforms that are just too...what's the word I'm looking for here?..."busy" for my taste. -
Quote:Ummm, maybe I'm just showing my age and lack-of-hipness here, but I always thought a murder mystery involved a victim already being dead and you figuring out whodunit. This kinda seems more like a bizarro murder mystery.Playing alongside the signature characters, experiencing the story of the characters. It will be a bit of a mystery. At the end you'll experience the death of a signature character and finding your role in it....It's a murder mystery, which of our big character is going to die. You all are going to be surprised about how it gets down and who gets it. This is not an on/off switch, there is a 7 month, elaborate, murder mystery story."
Or maybe more like a suspense/horror movie a la "Scream" or "Elm Street," now that I think about it more.
Quote:Character slots per server: "36 is not enough and we agree."I paid to get my slots on my favorite server up to 36 and I'll pay to go higher than that, too.

Quote:Is that why it's never been released?EDIT: I'm still upset that the Werewolf TV series didn't make it to DvD because of a dispute over a couple of the songs in it.
Geez, I loved that show back in the day. It was The Fugitive meets Bill Bixby's Incredible Hulk with fur and fangs and damned enjoyable to watch, too.
Which songs were causing the problems and was it solely a monetary dispute or something else on top of that?
