    New ATIO proc

    In what power did you end up putting the 6th Dominion of Arachnos ATO in? I'm going to slot Suppression with just 5 of the normal set (upgrading to all Superiors is pointless for me, as I already have 5 purple sets in my build), but I'm not sure where to stick the 6th ATO at. Suppression or Venom Grenade? Any advice is appreciated.

    The rule of 5 is determined by the name of the set bonus. Since the 10% rchg ATO bonus and the 10% rchg bonus from purples has the same name (Superior Recharge Bonus) you can only have 5 total of them (ie 5 purple sets with +rchg OR 4 purples with +rchg and 1 very rare ATO set with +rchg).

    Ok, I thought so. Also, will the +1 enhancement boosters work on the ATO sets? I know that I was able to use them on most of my purple sets in my build, not for the enhancements like for example in Gravitational Anchor the Chance for Hold wouldn't allow me to use the boosters on it. I'm thinking that you can on the first 5 in the set, however for the 6th enhancement in the set, you can't, or am I wrong? I have no idea. From what I was reading, it seems people are recommending 5 normal slots with the 6th slot being the superior. Just need a little help understanding the +1 enhancement boosters in regards to if they work on ATOs or not.
  3. Really Important Question Here: Scenerio. Build has 5 purple sets already slotted in it for the 10% recharge bonuses. If I upgrade an entire set of Dominion of Arachnos to all Superior, will I be able to get the 10% bonus recharge that the Dominion of Arachnos set will give or does the "Rule of 5" still apply and the set bonus from upgrading the entire set to Superior will be null and void and not count? I'm assuming that the annoying "Rule of 5" applies to the AT enhancements as well or am I wrong? Someone please clarify this.
  4. Ok, I have just a couple of questions about these Enhancement Catalyst thingy jiggys.

    1. Do they drop just during Incarnate Trials once I 22 goes live, or can I just beat up things at a certain level and up to get them to drop once I 22 goes live?

    2. The only way to get them right now, is through buying the Super Packs, right?

    3. Would making a whole set of say Dominion of Arachnos, Superior be beneficial or not?
  5. Ok, I'm pretty much happy with this bane build, it's got great defense all around, and is perma hasten. This is my secondary/dual build, that I intend to play kind of tank/scrapper/stalker style. My primary build, is perma hasten/all perma pets crabspider. This bane build, is pretty much all melee really with no pets. What I'd like to know is where to put the Dominion of Arachnos set in it. Alpha slot is to help with the accuracy (which is horrible without Nerve slotted) and to help boost defense. I know the resistance could maybe be boosted as well.   6. I agree with everything people have said so far. I know that when I solo on +4 =8, I use a lot of strategy, such as pulling, etc. Since I'm perma hasten/perma pets, I have to pay attention to when my pets die and return a lot. I would also say though, that I take advantage of popping purple and orange inspirations, I use Demonic for when I'm red lining and on the verge of dying, I also use the accolade power Frenzy. Oh heck, know what your powers do and use them to their full advantage, that's what I do.
  7. This is just a model of what I'm going to be running, once Dominion of Arachnos is slotted into my Suppression. I'm going to take out the Positron's Blast set in Suppression and put the Dominion of Arachnos set there (which I plan to upgrade to Superior). I'm hoping that Hasten will be perma with just the base slot, that way I can move the 2nd slot into the Dominion of Arachnos set and have the full set. Here is. Main Goal: High Recharge. I tried to go into Mids and do the add new set thing, but I was having trouble

  8. My crabspider is named ArachniBlast. Basically Spider and Blast (since that's what she basically does) put together. However, people just call her Arachni for short. I decided to stay villain side, because I wrote her background story to be Lord Recluse's granddaughter, and most deadly crab spider lady out of his army. I also made Shadow Spider and Black Scorpion her parents (Shadow Spider seemed fitting and so did Black Scorpion for the whole "deadly and poisonous" theme). She has had a few bad run ins with a few men, but her answer: STAB THEM WITH HER LEGS, INJECTING POISON TO KILL THEM. I designed her to be a sort of queen spider, who is currently engaged to a guy crabspider named Black Arachnid 2125. The build, is on the forums here, was going for the whole "perma pets/high recharge" concept, but the build is really a "concept" build, that plays really well. Anyways, here's a pic:

  13. I was just waiting for someone to say "lawnmower". You know what, it's true. My crab ever since 24 has solo'd on relentless most missions shy of the ones where AVs are involved. I'm built for perma hasten, perma pets, and my total recharge with hasten and set bonuses is at 201.25%.

    Now, for your power scaling up even further. I've noticed that with actual sets put in place of SOs, that I've became more of a "lawnmower". I have nice DPS, I seem to attack faster, and because of that, I enjoy my crab even more. My crab really doesn't have issues with endurance and/or health, as I've never been below 1/2 health.
  14. I'd move my spider over to the good side, only if we were allowed to customize the colors of our spiderlings, reinforcements, and blaster from black scorpion. I'd make Rachnid of Liberty with a red, white, and blue theme, with matching pet spiders. But alas, we can't customize our pets, so I'm staying evil
  15. I take my crab spider in for shivan runs almost every week. I have no problems taking down a firebase by myself, I take out the 4 outter turrets, then hurry up and take out the inner 4, then go in and collect my shard.

    Also, you really need to stop taking offense to people trying to help you. If something they suggested didn't work, just simply say, "Hey, I didn't seem to have the best of luck with what you suggested", and just leave it at that.

    I also agree that you don't need shivans to best anything in this game. If you do, then I seriously think you need to reevaluate your build and or as was suggested plan out a better attack strategy.
  16. Wow, I'm glad you're liking it I like having stealth, because I like being able to get close and better situate where I'm going to throw Seeds of Confusion.

    Just be careful, when using Seeds of Confusion. I remember that when I first started out with my dom, that if say a hellion killed another hellion, then you didn't get the credit for killing that hellion. I don't know whether or not that this was fixed, but it was annoying, and I'm sure that if it still exists, that it's still annoying. I never had roots, when I was leveling up, I think because in the guides that I read, that they just plain out sucked. I had Black Scorpion like Azucar does in his build, but didn't like any of the stuff after a while. A lot of people also don't like Spore Burst, mainly due to being on large teams. I have it in my build, particularly for LRSF. I've seen dominators before that were able to sleep all of the heroes, while a pull and pick one off method was being used. But, even if that doesn't work, I like to use it on mobs that seem too close together. I just sleep the mob that I want to attack secondly, while I destroy the initial mob. Again, if you're on a team, it's best to let your teammates know that you do have Spore Burst, and exactly how you use it. That way, you don't throw it, and be like "Aww [censored], that was a waste!!!", because your team woke up the mob you were trying to avoid.

    Might I suggest a playstyle to you?

    1. With Stealth on, go up and target the enemy in the dead center of the mob.

    2. Once you've said "Hey wazzup!!!", run back a distance and use your immobs and holds.

    3. If it looks like Seeds of Confusion is wearing off, again target the enemy in the center of the mob.

    4. Start up nailing them with your thorn attacks, and be sure to have your fly trap out, as he/she/it? is a great distraction.

    5. I use my thornburst as a means of building up domination, so I usually put it on auto. Just put it down into your tray, click on it, and hit shift and control, and I believe that that will put it as a green ring around the power and will make it autofire.

    I hope this helps to avoid being squished.

  17. My husband, has a level 50 mind/psi dom. He's not yet fully built for his IO build though, but he's able to crank out decent damage.

    As for plant/thorn, when I was leveling up mine, I was able to do decent damage, but not quick damage, which I'm sure is the norm. I was also running tough and weave, but as you seen in my build above, I got rid of them, because of endurance issues. I always use to play mine, as a scraptroller.

    I'm waiting till we all see what type of changes *if any* they do to dominators, before I go about finishing both my husband's and my dominators.

    I use to always love the animation of Impale, for some odd reason I loved looking like a female jolly green giant throwing a curveball

    Also, I was looking at the defense in my build and the one Acuzar posted. To me it seems that if one builds for a perma hasten/perma dom build, or heck even just perma dom, that defense and resistance take a severe beating. But then again, it's understandable, as that it's not what the builds are for.

  21. I'd take it if you're going with the flight pool. But, if you're going with leaping pool, I'd skip it. I don't have it in my build, and I hit just fine without it. I also didn't have room for it. I mean I love the things about it that were pointed out, but I don't like how the duration is only 10 seconds. But honestly, it's not a make or break power. If you've got the room for it great, but if not, don't worry about it. Because, as you begin slotting set IOs, they will make up for the lack of accuracy and or damage that you were missing before.

    RECHARGE!!!

    300% recharge is a lot of recharge. You saw my build, that I sent to you, and let me give you a tip. I recharge at about 200%, and often times, if I try to spawn a fresh set of my pets, before the old set dies, the new set that I try to spawn won't spawn, so therefore, all of my spider pet powers are wasted. So then, I have to wait a little bit for them to come back up. But often times, if I don't have speed boost on me, I'll notice that a majority of my little spiders and maybe 1 disruptor are dead. I'll have to wait what seems like forever for the last disruptor and my blaster to die, so that I don't waste the spawning of the next fresh set. This, is even worse when I do have speed boost on me. So in short, you have to be sure all of your pets are dead, before spawning a fresh batch of them, otherwise the new set won't spawn and you'll have to wait a bit for them to come back up and spawn them. You recharge at 300%, keep in mind, that the recharge cap for a crab spider is at 400%, so if you have Speed Boost on you, you'll have to constantly wait for any spiders who aren't dead to die, so that you don't waste a fresh spawn. I mean sure with Speed Boost on you your spiders will be up really fast, but it just takes longer for any spiders who are living to die. This problem, drives me up the wall, and like I said, only gets worse as your recharge gets even higher. But, Suppression and Frag Grenade could use better slotting for recharge over 6 slotting Stamina. Heck, you could probably even do what I had to do with Health, if you need the slots badly enough in Suppression and Frag Grenade. Combat Training Offensive, is a waste of a power. Wolf Spider Armor, could be dropped as Crab Spider armor is more than enough to give you good defense, plus if you drop that, you'll have slots to give Suppression and Frag Grenade the better slotting that they both deserve. I'd personally drop Frenzy, because it really isn't that great (as none of the crab melee powers really are). I'd take Hurdle over Swift, because Mental Training is basically Swift only a bit better. Oh, and I'd swap out the Absolute Amazement set in your Omega Maneuver for a set of Ragnarok instead, because it's better to slot it for damage vs. stun. What do you plan to use for a means of a travel power? Also, why no Leadership, Tactics, and Assault?
