My Perma Hasten/Perma Dom Plant/Thorn Build

Heyas guys,

How does this look for a perma hasten/perma dom build for a plant/thorn dominator? I don't care for any of the patron powers either, so I didn't take any. I figured, that I'd take Spore Burst, as I figured it might come in handy on LRSF for possibly trying to sleep the rest of the heroes, while my VG tries the "pull one while the rest sleep and beat him up" approach. The Concealment pool, I figured I'd take so that I can get up closer to mobs and place my Seeds of Confusion better. Anyways, here is, hope you guys like it:

If I were you I'd wait a bit . You may need to build for max dam and max hp's soon.

Ack, doms are getting the nerf bat again? I read something else in the dom forum here, something about perma dom being no more, or something to that regard. I didn't invest any infamy into this build yet, just was playing around in Mid's to see what I could do. So yeah, I'm going to wait and see what they do.

How about you check what's going on rather than taking the word of the village idiot? It's the huge thread with the redname posts in it on the front page.

Doms are being buffed. You will no longer receive a significant damage buff for stacking domination twice, and your recharge will still make all your powers recharge faster. You will do more damage, you will still get domination providing bonus mez mag, mez protection and an end bar refill.

Op, I will clarify. The basic mechanics of dom's are about to be in flux. The VILLAGE IDIOT thinks it might be wise to hold off on purchasing io's until the changes come out in the wash. Redside market is not a kind mistress when one is on the purchasing side.YMMV. There are several threads regarding the upcoming changes. Read them and decide what you want to do.

Eeek...It is seeming more like Fall of '05 in the dom forum these days.

To the OP: Sorry I don't have a high level Plant/ or /Thorns (my 50 doms are Grav/NRG and Fire/Fire) so no help there. It is interesting that you are only 2-slotting hasten though. Entropic chaos is also kind of crap I think (although I also have it on several characters) and you could maybe do better in a dream build.

I would personally move the 2nd slot out of hasten also because it's perma with only one.

Whoops, that's what I get for looking at the build really quick. Ignore my previous statement lol, it's perma with 2 slots. I don't know why, but I read it as 118 instead of 128.

Hasten in the build is coming up at 115.1 seconds, and Dom is at 65 seconds. I actually reached perma dom easier than I did perma hasten. But yeah, I definitely thought for sure that I'd have to use 3 to even 4 slots just to get hasten to go perma. So, I kept building the build and checking on hasten. I originally put 3 slots into it, just out of habit, then out of curiosity, I took the 3rd slot out and was actually surprised to find that hasten was perma with only 2 slots, so it just kind of happened that way by accident.

So, I figured that I'd move the 3rd slot to combat jumping as the kismet +6% to hit, since my to hit was only at 0%. Also, looking back through the build, I think I'll replace the regular io in super jump to the unbounded leap +stealth proc.

I'm wondering now. I have a 40 Plant/Thorn thats been sitting for a few years. Are they really any good?
What would ya rate them?

Purely because of plant, on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it Porsche. If you want to solo AVs or be a leading damage-dealer on big hard targets, it's not going to impress you. But it's basically a big walking DoT which doesn't take damage.

Ok idiot, I see how it works.

Nightfire9, I see you have Thorny Darts slotted with Entropic Chaos. That set lacks in accuracy. Might I suggest that if you intend to use the power that you add a sixth slot with accuracy or put in 5 Decimations instead.
