  1. Crap! Sorry guys. We ended up eating a late dinner and on top of that, some nasty storms blew in and knocked the power out.
  2. If there's still room I'll jump on with Knight'Hawk.
  3. It is believed that Greger Huttu is the next Stig.
  4. Not really liking the art as far as Bats' costume goes. The rest looks cool though.

    Two...two Batmen, ah ah ah.

And I actually like SMerc's way of explaining Dick becoming Batman. Despite that I love my dad, I swore up and down I'd never make the same mistakes and do things the same way as he did.

    Guess what...

I thought it was cost (yeah, I know that's absurd considering its GL) that kept them from having Greivous be as epic a fighter in the movie as he was in the cartoon.

And yes, Nero was crap. I liked a lot of JJTrek, but Nero I did not. He just isn't very Romulan like.
  7. Don't feel too bad, I'm late to the party as well (and this thread). On episode 4 now, thanks to Netflix's instant play deal.

I have to say, the Alliance capital ships are the absolute ugliest sci-fi ships I've ever seen.

Agreed, Clone Wars (and I mean the original, not the CGI crapfest) Grievous was awesome.

Haha, I love that episode. The other thought I had was this kinda is reverse of a situation DBZ Abridged Vegeta found himself in:

*Dark'Falon leaps for the building but starts to fall too soon*

    No no no nononononono....

    *miss*

    FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu......

    *Looking up from the street*

    uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUCKRASH!!!

    Forgive me, it's late.
  10. Foxbat from CO. All those loading screen comic strips about him, and such, he kinda seemed to me like one of the big-bads.

And then I saved a TV news channel station from him....

    /em facedesk

However, I'm not quite 20 in that *cough*universe*cough*, so maybe there's worse villians (hard to believe), maybe better. I don't know yet.
  11. I've seen this happen a couple of times now in the last few months.

NPCs just walking up and down ghost stairs.

(assuming the above isn't lighthearted sarcasm)

Oh I'm no nooblet, I've been here for around 3 years now.

I just take a while to level....

(assuming the above is lighthearted sarcasm)

    Roger that.
  14. Well I don't know about anyone else, but GR to me was a great opportunity to find out what my main hero would be like if he wasn't so....heroic. My Praetorian, Dark'Falcon, is a Responsible Loyalist. He protects the innocent against the Resistance and other criminals; however as opposed to his Blueside counterpart, he kills his enemies.

I apparently did too good a job making him into the mirror of my main hero.

I was playing him earlier and decided to ninja run/jump from one building to the next. While Knight'Hawk is level 38, has hurdle and jump height enhancements, Dark'Falcon is level 8 and doesn't. So I make the jump, 100% sure I'd land on the next building annnnnd....*miss*. I fell allllllll the way to the ground. Fortunately, we can't die from falling. I can imagine the scene right now if we did:

Hero 1: "So I shot him with an energy blast..."
    *SPLAT*
    Hero 2:

Anyway, I thought that was funny, but being 5 AM where I'm at, I'm not thinking straight. I thought I'd share this experience anyway, and as a word of warning: make sure you know what toon you're playing before leaping off tall buildings in a single bound.

    Vendetta system

Sounds pretty cool to me. I think it'd work really well now that we have GR. Heroes vs. Villains is one thing, but the situation on Praetoria seems a lot more volatile. I think ambushes of this nature there would really add to immersion.

Yeah, really. Seems like any time talk of the community or servers comes up he's always trashing Freedom. I've only been there a month, but so far haven't seen anything that made it any worse than things I saw when I was on Protector.

Let me remind you, science also said the Earth was warming and the ice caps were going to melt soon. And yet, data showed the Earth was actually cooling, and there was no need to worry. I've always been a fan of science, but I also realize it can be incorrect.....especially with the right monetary/political influence.

Science also says spanking your kids causes them to be aggressive and stupid, yet everyone I knew that was is rather calm and successful in life. The ones that weren't haven't gone anywhere except to prison.

^ That, right there. There are true addictions out there, true enough, but they can be overcome by willpower and proper help. Just because you have an addiction doesn't mean you get to wallow in it and blame others for something you did. You purchased the weed, you lit it up, and you smoked it. And now you can march your happy self to a rehab center and get help....no suing allowed.

Things like gaming, gambling, and sex addiction, however are total bull and one can stop at any time of their choosing, and just choose not to. I have a caffine addiction, but I'm not suing Dr. Pepper over it, I'm not blaming the grocery store for letting me buy it. I can stop at any time I please....I may get a massive headache, but I can stop at any time.
  19. Yep. That's one reason I keep coming back after taking time off (due to burn-out ) is how "original" it is. I like how the only thing it has in common with WoW is that it's an MMO. It almost seems like everyone else is either dumbing their game down, or creating it in a way that's very similar to Warcraft.

The lore, and story arcs (for the most part) are the best I've seen in any MMO I've played. It's very RP friendly. With past MMOs I've had to try to invest myself in the character, and come up with a backstory that sets me apart from everyone else. It's never worked as well as it has here.

For example, my character for the most part has been "cape-less", and used rocket boots to get around (since he's not supposed to have powers). I just finished the Doppelganger arcs and WOW! It was not only an awesome arc, but with the way it ended it opened up a great story reason for a costume change.

As I stated before, I may take a break from time to time because of burn-out, but I always come back. This is, hands down, the best MMO out there IMO.

  21. Aside from the queue, my first day of GR was cool. The only negative thing I can say so far is I've been seeing a lot of lag. Not sure how much is server related or graphics card related. It played CoX in Ultra Mode just fine. I've also seen this weird flashing when my toon moves.

Yep, I'm the same way. For example, Knight'Hawk will never fight CoT, Pantheon, or Devouring Earth.

Same here. It just feels weird. I also have to play a human, or an alien that looks like a human (Vulcan or Romulan for example). I've tried making aliens in SWG, and I just can't play as a non-human. I didn't even like playing as the Arbiter in Halo 2 and was so glad they didn't do that again in Halo 3.

It's not that I'm speciest/racist/sexist; hell if aliens ever landed here I'd be saying "no, take me to your leader....PLEASE!!!" I guess I just have to be able to see myself in that role.
