  4. i also get the same issue with AA at distance seemingly not working with AO on.

  5. i have a quick question that i'm having a hard time finding the answer to.

    if i'm a War Mace brute and take Mace Mastery, will i be in weapon redraw hell, or can i use my Arachnos Mace in the same way i use my War Mace (ie. can i use War Mace powers with the Arachnos Mace without redraw)?

    does that make sense?

  8. Quinz: i've had similar concerns and experiences as you in the past. i found the solution to my problem was a static team.

    static teams of up to 8 tend to meet regularly and because it's a small number of players it's easier to get to know everyone and for everyone to be on the same page, or even hop in and out of stories as RL dictates.

    so why don't you see about giving that a try? IMO, static teams are the SG/VG i was looking for from the very beginning.

  11. hi all, i need a little helping deciding between making a Kin/DP Defender or a DP/Kin Corruptor.

    i am interested in blasting and doing reasonable damage, but i think my main question is in the difference in Buff power between Defs and Corrs.

    does the Defender have such a stronger Buff that it can help mitigate the lower damage from the lack of Scourge, or is the difference so negligible that a Corr will always *significantly* out-damage the Defender?

    if the difference is minor either way, then i'll base my decision on whether i want to play the char now or wait until GR so i can roll a Hero Corr.

    i concur!

    i've been in and out of CoH since beta and i just resubbed after the DXP weekend. having played so long i have to say that right now is the best time i can recall in CoH history.

    just seeing all the variety in the game, the wonderful new colors making old sets and concepts fresh and new again, and how fun the game is without being overly punishing or trying to drag out my gameplay experience artificially.

    i really feel like Paragon Studios is not only taking good care of the game, but they're going beyond the custodial and really taking CoH to places both new and anticipated to make it a contemporary MMORPG.

    i love CoH and happily still consider it, IMHO, the only MMORPG worth playing.

    three cheers for CoH and Paragon Studios!
  15. no question: Pain. i've never played Pain and the other choices i would go with, Dark and Poison, i'm already playing.

    Thermal is an intriguing possibility, but i think i'm most allured by Pain and it strikes me a nice thematic matchup i'd like to explore.

    truth be told, i was starting to get a little excited about a certain other superhero MMORPG coming out, but it's good to know that you guys are ready to rise to the challenge!

  17. everything is running great for me so far, except that i think i need more RAM now as everything in CoH loads slower for me under 7 than it did under XP. otherwise it's fine.

    also, the install process from the Architect disc took forever! i don't know why, it zoomed on XP, but in 7RC it took soooo long to extract the piggs.

    We're a good team dedicated to bringing mutants up to their full potential and showing the world what the next stage in human evolution is capable of!

    We're looking for two good mutants to complete our Pentad! One Tanker and one Scrapper, in the 15-20 range. We are a role-playing group, but we're not over the top.

    Casual but regular player preferred. Weekly game time to be determined, but we're aiming for Sunday afternoons. Of course, while we'd like to be regular, real life always comes first.

    27. What parts of CoV do you plan to showcase at E3? ie. All of it, just the archetypes, just the costumes, etc.
  23. my biggest issue with SS is that it shouldn't be so weak, Damage wise, when compared to other Tank secondaries. hell, it should be the best!

    stop screwing with all these "additional effects" and let Super-Strength do what it's supposed to do, make you super strong! all Damage catagories should be raised by one level, adjusting end cost and recharge time appropriately.

    SS should also have a Damage catagory that is unique to it, for the final power.

    Hurl should animate similar to Propel.

    that is all.
