Help me decide: Kin/DP Def vs. DP/Kin Corr.
I do not deal with numbers. But i would probably go with DP/Kin (corr) due to the buffing not really being that much different. Number wise they are slightly different, but damage buff is damage buff, and corrs benefit better from it as a whole (imo). That is just my 2 cents
edit: I have been waiting to roll very many characters due to this exact problem lol. I want to see what GR is gunna offer me

In your case I would roll a DP/Kin Corr. Not as dependent on buffs and has Scourge.
Basically rolls down to the difference between a defender and a corruptor. Or perhaps which side you want to play on until GR goes live. Bottom line- you probably won't be terrifically overwhelmed with the combo either way you go- Dual pistols is fun, but it isn't next in line to knock fire blast off of it's perch of damage king.
By the way- I have a dp/kin at 50 that is awaiting IOs, that I enjoy immensely.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

Go for the Corruptor, you'll get an inherent that actually does something useful.
Corr. Kin is one of those sets that don't have a large difference from primary to secondary, and corrs are much better on dealing damage due to scourge (the actual dmg modifier is just a little higher).
thanks for the input everyone. looks like Corruptor it is then!
i'll wait to roll her with GR, start her in Praetoria, go Resistance then come to Paragon.
thanks!
hi all, i need a little helping deciding between making a Kin/DP Defender or a DP/Kin Corruptor.
i am interested in blasting and doing reasonable damage, but i think my main question is in the difference in Buff power between Defs and Corrs.
does the Defender have such a stronger Buff that it can help mitigate the lower damage from the lack of Scourge, or is the difference so negligible that a Corr will always *significantly* out-damage the Defender?
if the difference is minor either way, then i'll base my decision on whether i want to play the char now or wait until GR so i can roll a Hero Corr.
thanks for your help!
