  1. Cone attacks may select targets to hit or miss starting from the nearest to the furthest I'd imagine. Whereas Target Based Area of Effects start from your target and spiral out.
  2. Gauntlet, Taunt, Gauntlet till the cows come home should be what a WP tanker does for it be rare that a team might allow for mobs to be tightly wound into the aura of RTTC and kept there. So with that in mind I would count 2 of Kinetic Melees AoEs as must haves regardless and 2 high end costing powers that are STs for their gauntlet aoe sizes. Accuracy is going to have to be a good thing to increase with Willpower anyway.

    It's a bit like Claws, I got a Claws/SR and keeping aggro with it (SR has no taunt aura) can be a trifle bit difficult. Swanning off ahead to spend extra time with mobs before a team finishes up the last group might be the way of things.

    I can do that as I chose KM on my Brute.

    Too early to judge I think, I would play hours upon hours with a set, adapting my playstyle to get the most of it before simply saying "bummer, it's not for me".
  3. I dunno, as I will tank with anything. I will say that when Invuln was looked at last, and changed it became more fun versus team mates who work against an Invulns strengths whilst Invulns were trying to work to them.

Energy Aura is one of them secondaries, that really you could mix alot of power pools with to make it not just good but rather good and then see yaself with some Psi def and Toxic res anyway both possibly 15% plus and soft cap the rest but perhaps NEG is a bit hard to do..Leveling up prior to IO sets though Overload is more of a must have to me but we are talking about a set that can potentially come back from the crash better than most though aren't we? I'm not brilliant with EA but still I have made my second one.
  5. Call Me Awesome has a guide, get Mids herobuilder or Sucker Punches Planner if you don't have it. Do something along the lines of what you might like and then post it for suggestions. GR is out and not many people have a lot of time for the forums.

  7. I've always been more conceptualist than farmer. More interested in controls rather than passive mitigation and simply dealing damage. I can't do the tunnel vision of worrying about damage, defense, resistance, regen and heal. It's not complicated enough. So for me it's not great. I would rather a build with this type of Burn and a build with the Burn with fear.
  8. I think you've been playing Brutes when really you're a Tanker at heart. I tank with my Brutes but it's never as many as what my Tankers would do, but it's enough as with CoV Tankers aren't necessary but some aggro redirection is helpful.

    I tend to armour up and team it but with schedule As having more effect than schedule Bs what your doing is okay with slotting. S/L def might amount to doing more than the -dam in CE or Hoarfrost at such levels. I think every AT is pretty equal until level 10 then things start to scale enough to make tankers start tanking.

  11. Level 1: Stone Fist -- Amaze-Acc/Rchg(A), Hectmb-Acc/Rchg(15)

    Is it really well worth the inf cost? I would have other alts to want to IO too without throwing inf at things. The build has to simply be able to do it's job. About Psi resistance, now that the hp cap is up, do you really want it? Ideally before, in teams without any Psi def, having more than 2995hp was a good idea.

  13. It's nice to have some proper pretty looking city zones to level up to 20 in as both hero and villain. Not being funny but I wouldn't want to grow up in some of the slums around Paragon or have the sun blocked most of the day from tall buildings squeezed together..It's the real world to some people but I will take my sitting here listening to horses neighing in the fields outside anyday.
    Love the maps anyway and the new powersets are pucker too. I didn't take part in the Beta of it so whatever else there is to enjoy after lvl 6 is still yet to come.

  18. Yeah bout time. It was long enough for someone to get two maybe 3 shotted in the time you used it. If on a controller people could expect control being the priority anyway.

    Personally I think the biggest threat to a tanker's job security is a controller and we have been sharing teams with them since day one.

    Some peoples Brutes don't enter Tanker territory, some do, although not always fully and if trying to then usually not properly. Take a Tanker player and put them behind a Brute and that Brute might actually outdo other peoples Tankers. I believe it possible. Consider the better damage level of that Brute, players that team with it decide Brutes are better....words spreads like that time when people led Shadowhunter into the water...and suddenly everyone thinks Brutes are better. Moral of story, no Tanker player should make a Brute look that good.
