Had a little trouble on this with my T4 Mind/FF (Accod, IOd, yada yada) in that I have 3 single target attacks (Dominate, Levitate, Power Blast), Terrify and Void Radial T4. I'd open with Power Boosted Mass Confusion then get several of them but one would be knocked back so...
Vanguard Heavy Assault Suit
Backup Radio
Phantom Buff Ally
Echo of Manticore
Shivan summon
Gone in 60 seconds...
Now to get Buddy Cop... -
I had just finished Dream Doctor's arc and puzzling over the Buddy Cop badge...and had started Heather's arc in Ouroboros in the hopes that saving him would award (it did not).
If someone could let me know which Ouro arc I'd need to do to get this badge (suspecting Dream Doctor) would be swell.... -
Same thing on Exalted, was queued up for a BAF run then got the boot and 125+ people in Queue...

Staff is live:
PL/Acco Staff/SR.
Staff isn't live:
THAT CAN ONLY MOT HAS TAKEN PARAGON STUDIOS!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!
Heh.
If Staff fighting isn't live, I'll level my Mind/Kin and work on my Dark/Electric Dominator. -
Quote:This is 100% cool as long as all teams get an equal number of byes.Maybe I am incorrect, but I am pretty sure Bug is counting a "bye" during last night's matches as a win. And it's not going to be "counting" differently later, and it should not, as it is not those teams' faults who were randomly selected. As far as I understood, the purpose of the first group of fights was to determine a fairly ranked ladder in which to start the contest. Again, might be wrong, but hopefully Bug will post soon to clarify.
Nice fights all. -
Quote:Two problems with this:Don't AFK farm for a PvP IO... go engage in PvP, the way its meant to be earned. Who cares if it takes forever, its a challenge. Like .
1)Players who are good/making an effort in PvP try to evade, in other words not die...which reduces your chances of getting a drop;
2)Rep timer means you need to cycle through a lot targets to get a very small chance at a drop.
You really do need to farm them or farm pve to get them.
In the last ladder, WARE.gov got hundreds of kills (top team in ladder) and got maybe one drop. Our own team got one, and this is playing dozens upon dozens of matches and practices. Bleh. -
Quote:Yeah...generally byes are considered wins but have a different weighting when "finals" are decided in tournaments with multiple rounds or for points based standings. No big deal either way.The above posted by Neuronia is a little misleading. Here is what the actual win/loss/draw(although there are no draws) record is for each team based on what Bug posted last night for each matches winner. If this is inaccurate, please let Bug know. See you guys next weekend.

Quote:Enh convereters are coming; people are buying up the low-grade purples (Sleeps) and are going to use converters to (hopefully) turn them into Armas, APocs, Ragnaroks etc. etc.Tis true. I have noticed a marked drop in purps. Very frustrating. I wonder what the deal is
The drop rates are not increasing since these items are Very Rare drops and aren't meant as anything more than an endgame goal for the powergamer or to keep your sub active while you grind. My only advice is run tons of level 50 content and they will drop eventually; I had a Grav Anchor drop while lackeyed in a paper mission and a Ragnarok drop in a Dilemma Diabolique. Good luck. -
So just to put this in "Plain Text":
1. Freaky Clowns 4-0
2.T.H.U. 3-0-1
3.Really Rottens 3-0
4.MONSTER MASH 2-0-1
5.Angel 2-0-1
6.Kamikaze Geckos 2-0-1
7.Paul Deen Fan Club 1-3
8.Who 0-4
9.Clueless 0-4
Matches needed:
Clucless vs. Who
T.H.U. vs. Freaky Clowns
"Really rottens, Monster mash, Angel and Kamikaze Geckos need to fight one team each, and then the winners and losers of those matches, need to fight each other. (First come first serve, so the first team to challenge one of the others gets to pick the first fights)." -
Could do the math off damage received - Damage resistance etc, but yeah there really isn't any real way of knowing. It's a PvP event, people will break it pretty much. Depends how much people want it "fun" or not.

Is this still happening?
I'm bored enough with RV that I guess I am lft.
Someone PL me to 5 on Victory plox.
Holy cow level 10, this is srs.
I better roll another Kara.
Oh yeah globals...
@Neuronia/@Neuronium
I'll get a bunch of toons to 10 and see how this goes.
P.S. Would like to team with Philly or Mas Qué but no real preference. -
Quote:Not to mention City of Villains box which stated you could fight each other in supergroup raids...which we had possible for a while until they pulled the plug on IOPs.
Take a look.
I am no fan of Jack, but if this is him speaking in the video, I think we can dispel the rumor that he was opposed to PvP from the start.
Seeing how totally underpowered most of the IOPs are worth these days, how about flipping a switch and letting us base raid for kicks? -
Quote:Pretty much this.Because once I have my character set up the way I want it I have nothing else to spend inf on.
When I was PvPing regularly I knew I'd need billions and couldn't always rely on teammates for influence or IOs, so I got to work crafting mid-level crisis stuff and selling, or just cashing in Merits or selling crafted drops.
That, on top of the tons of trials that netted me many, many purples got me enough inf to keep me happy for a while. I could probably get into the hundreds of billions if I wanted to, but there isn't anything out there that goes for a hundred billion so...meh. -
My +1 (albeit defense capped) Night Widow is doing great. I only had issues in (SPOILERS) the multi-ambush mission and with the Sentinel when I didn't notice the extra objectives, heh. Oh, PPD are never good with their -DEF but meh.
Usually run at +1/x2 which is a decent setting for that character. -
Love the Solo path, got around 15-20% on Destiny from 0 so far, and with thread to expereince conversion, it's gravy having a nice story and progression too.
Dark Control is quite fun as well, Dark Astoria looks fantastic and no opinion on the mid-level trial... -
Quote:I forget who the originator was, but someone posted on the forums a looooooooooooooong time ago with a thread called "Big red ball?" and basically asking for a BIG FREAKING RED BALL that we could throw to each other. Everyone at the time, all the forum big wigs from Friggin' Taser to Arcanaville to Texas Justice (?), got in on the fun. We were told the engine couldn't handle it and it ended there...I'll take your word for it. (4+ years, first I'd heard of this begged request.)
Now, the disc is NOT the Big Red Ball but it's darned close. It's something you can throw, your friends can get it as well and it's clean, noncombat fun! -
Quote:It sounds like the flying disc power is conceptually a variation on the big red ball.
Does that make you happy or does it make you want an actual big red ball that much more?
I have to wait until friday to buy the paragon points and try it out first hand.
Yes, yes it is and this is the first thing that hopped to my mind.
Bought on both accounts and loving it! -
Som-freaking-breros.
That is all. -
Quote:Paragon City has the highest density of super-powered beings.I would love to see you support that somehow (with evidence, not just your opinion). If you can, I will change my signature immediately.
Referring to what GG is referring to, I agree, it's odd that the 'major' cities of the world are rarely, if ever, mentioned in game lore. I can't remember, off the top of my head, too many references to real cities, even in passing (e.g. 'The Rikti launched minor offensives in London and other cities while the major focus was Paragon City'). It's like they've taken the 'DC Approach', not the competitor's.
The city has claimed for itself the title birthplace of the hero, an assertion that may or may not be true. However, no one can deny the fact that today Paragon City is home to more super powered heroes than any other metropolis on the planet.
Why? Because not only is Paragon City the largest city in the US, it also goes out of its way to support its hero population. In Paragon City, heroes fight crime and villainy with the governments approval and to the populations applause.

The largest city in the States + highest meta population = a huge bull's eye for everyone from Malta Ops to Circle of Thorns to Hellions to incarnates... -
So I've got close to 60 Empyrean on two alts...is it worth getting these to sell on/off Market or are they dropping to "meh" prices of 500 mil or less?

Dr. Graves.
Nothing more than an over-expository waste of time basking in grandiosity.
Must punch his face in NOW. NOOOOOOOOOOOOW. -

Quote:PvP is all about range and + HP (and damage I supposed and all sorts of other bonuses, but you want capped HP ((1606 for squishies)) and extended range for attacks and heals).
Is it particularly common to see people with a whole bunch of PVP bonuses in their build? I don't remember ever seeing it but I haven't done a lot of looking.
My Empath has 6 Panacea slotted, 5 of Glad Net and so on. Glad Javs you can sometimes get by with two or three for the range + proc. Generally you'll want as many glad jav procs and 4-5 ofs as possible, especially those that give those hard to find 2.25% Health bonuses....
