There any way to post the outcome of everyone that participated? I didn't get a chance to pay attention to everyone else's results from their matches. Like wins, losses, and draws from everyone else or who was matched up with who? (if not its cool sounds like a lot of work)

It was a lot of fun, btw. I prob will be retiring the MM and use something else for PvP. Great job organizing the event.

    Prelims:

    9-3 vs. Earth/Fire Dom
    1-4 vs. DB/Regen
0-3 vs. Fire Melee/Regen (damage over time was erg...)

    Rookie Bracket:

3-1 or 4-1 vs. a flying Bots/Traps...was an odd match. The flying waaaay up was annoying and he probably should have done much much much better but he was away from his pets a lot It usually ended up I'd land Dominate then get a few Blasts in.

    9-3 vs. Earth/Fire Dom

    I'm just glad I didn't fight the Dark/Cold...slows + - ACC = sad panda

    The mood on MA

    [ QUOTE ]

"I am scared to leave the house because I think there are thieves and murderers on the subway"
"You freaking wuss! They only attack RICH people! Stop being such a baby and get on the damned subway!"

    [/ QUOTE ]

    No.

    A better analogy would be:

"I broke a bunch of rules, told friends how to break the rules. We all profited grossly in excess of normal earnings and now we're acting surprised that this was noticed. We shall proceed to run around like chickens with our heads cut off ignoring the warnings given by the big bosses on the topic. Personal responsibility? Never heard of it."

I know of only one person that got a character locked. They went 1-50 in well under three hours.

If you've written a story-focused arc, it's not likely going to get zapped.
If you've written a one-mission trial arc, it will likely not get zapped.
    If your arc levels someone 1-20 in 15-20 minutes;
    If your arc got people 20,000+ tickets;
    If your arc gives VASTLY more rewards than a normal mission arc would;

Then you have cause to be worried.
  3. lol That was bad news with the two MMs and the Regen...but it was a very enjoyable event Slax.
  4. So many freaking Regen Scraps abbalfblargastegeve

Was fun Slax and woot for winning something on my Mind/Fire.
    Thanks for hosting!

    The mood on MA

It's not swarming with players as recently but it's still being used to write and deliver content. Those that like running missions to level are still doing so.

It's not the Katie Hannon of new content anymore, now it's the ITF: you run it for content or some rewards or just for fun.
  6. It's imperfect but passable.
0 star ratings should not have been allowed.

I rate newspaper quality 3 stars.
Well-written story based arcs get 4 stars.
Incredible arcs that should be in game contacts get 5 stars.

  10. I hated Open World stuff in WoW. I longed for a mission where I could enter, do my thing and afk as needed instead of running around all the time.

Don't like it, prefer instanced content with open zones with mobs if I feel like it.
  11. [speculation]

    Praetorian Market!
Using new Praetorian Influence, players can acquire and trade new items by using the trade interface or the new Praetorian Market.

Exchange centers will convert your influence or infamy into Praetorian Influence, at a cost.

    [/speculation]
  12. Thanks for the heads up Posi.
Only one slot left here so no danger of silliness on my part.

Are players expected to report abusive mission content/exploitive content?

We'd prefer to lrn2PvP and then let people watch us.

The 2 stalkers/therm/emp/bubbler lineup is soooo much more open than the old PvP (jump, storm, disruption, etc) GG devs. At least they gave us MA to PL bubblers and crap we'd never play otherwise.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Im sure we'll find something that counters it...I still the the all Dual blades lineup has merit.

<.< What? When the French navy tried to stalk(er) pirates during the 1600's they got [censored] and pillaged

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, when I look back wistfully at being caged for 8 minutes out of 10 or having Mexican standoffs againt dUmb's or PCJL's Storm teams... but dUmb makes it fun.

GL PE on our next match.

  14. Arc Name: Save the House of Blues!

    MA Mondays!

I'll throw my longer arc in here...since it improves with team play:

    11102: Merulina Awakens!
25-31 level cap, Coralax and some custom foes, last mission challenging but an ally is supplied.
  16. Arc 11102: Merulina Returns!
Four missions, Coralax theme and last has two Elite Bosses.

Doable in 30-50 minutes, last mission may prove challenging.

(I added a Boss ally in the last mission to help out with the EBs and populated the map a bit more. Set to second difficulty for the Ally to actually be a Boss:P Also made some text changes off player feedback.)

Arc 114193: Save the House of Blues!
Comedy, easygoing arc, 3 missions. Homage to the Blues Brothers movie.

Can you spring Jake and another friend, steal the beer and put down an ominous enemy!

Doable in 15-20 minutes dependant on team size.

I'll start on the first page and go from there!

  17. "but suffice it to say that all CHAOS is going to break loose in-game on our anniversary date and you're not going to want to miss it"

Oh gawd please let all the zones go open pvp for a day, I'd get farmed sooooooo much but I'd love to cage people coming out of Outbreak/Breakout. >.>

Who are we going to tease in the Training Room now?

All the best Ex, you'll be missed and not easily replaced.
  21. I think arcs should lock into Hall of Fame.

It's already a grind getting what, 1,000 4.5 ratings? Even if you arc is lights out, a Dev might never see it or you might never get sufficient ratings to merit Hall of Fame inclusion.

Lock HoF arcs once obtained and lower the requirements for the associated badges. I mean, how many HoF are there right now on live, 5 or 10? If there's 5 you're going to need to 'farm' that arc over and over which isn't that fun anyway.

    The 600 Club!

620 or so now myself, woot.
  23. Arc: Meulina Awakens!
    Arc ID: 11102
    Author: @Neuronia
    Number of Missions: 4
Description: My attempt to expand the Coralax lore and mythos...Diviner Maros sends you on several tasks regarding rumors of a resurgent Merulina cult.

Has had varying reviews, leaning toward the average, mostly due to the Elite Boss in the last mission and plot variances.
Hope you enjoy, looking forward to comments either way.

    The Lazarus Arcs

    I ran 1709, The Amulet of J'gara.

    I found it thoroughly enjoyable.
Short little arc about Midnighters missing through both the Circle of Thorns and another entity, Mindskewer.

Though I had a reflexive white knuckling when I entered the Oranbega map and saw a hostage and glowie find, Lazarus was prescient enough to provide a short map. We find more information about the advancing plot involving an amulet which can be used to mind control people.

As the story progresses, we are introduced to Mindskewer, a powerful Mind/Thorn (Dominator?) who has made a deal with the Circle of Thorns. In the last mission, Lazarus kindly donated three allies (An Emp, a Dark and a Scrapper) to help with the EB.

Good work, short and to the point, I rated four stars.

Description: My attempt to expand the Coralax lore and mythos...Diviner Maros sends you on several tasks regarding rumors of a resurgent Merulina cult.

Has had both strong positives and negatives, mostly due to the Elite Boss in the last mission.
