about to hit 72.
I like the basic gameplay, obviously. They keep adding new systems, some of which I like (the market, AE) some of which I dislike (merits). And I enjoy the forums.
I dunno, none of that really explains why I'm still here. I ran a CS server and community a decade ago with a bunch of people I still count as friends, but I tired of the game fairly quickly. This one, I still enjoy playing all these years later. -
it's a vestige of a system that was mostly abandoned before the game even launched- the only reason I pay attention to it is so I can get appropriate titles for my characters. It strikes me funny that we can still cook up an argument about it even so. =)

there's practically nothing in the game with less impact than your 'origin', and yet we can still whip up a pretty good pie fight over 'what it all means'.
GJ fellow forumuites! -
tl/dr:
Disrupting salvage is easy, profiting from the disruption is much harder.
=D -
Quote:I'm willing to guarantee they don't, absent some sort of contributing outside event (ToT mobs not dropping salvage, etc).Yes, thats exactly what i want you to do. and do it for a week, and then check back a week after your done flipping, and see if your raised prices actually stay raised. I'm willing to bet they dont.
Also, see Smurphy's Challenge. -

I have alt storage, base storage and the vault stuffed to the GILLS with underpriced rares I snagged over the last week...can't wait for the rikti event to unload then for a ridiculous profit.

GOING TO PLAY THIS NAO!~
gratz to the author! -
Crazy quality on this pack.
Went on a rampage of costume editing. Finding a character one or more of these pieces *won't* improve is gonna be a challenge.
I doubt I'll ever run the aura mish again, and that alone justifies the price tag. -

Quote:staying out of melee on my fire/rad would be ridiculous.Actually, to say that Fire/Rad, Ice/Rad and Elec/Rad controllers are not supposed to play in melee when all three have melee powers in their primary? That is flat out wrong.
I mean I could ...but why would I want to?
After a spawn has been neutered by my various toggles, immobilizes and holds....why NOT leap in and let Hot Feet work its magic?
There's no right or wrong to what different players enjoy, but from a practical standpoint any fire/rad who avoids melee is wasting a golden opportunity. -

Love it to death on my fire/rad.
YMMV. -

So I just spent a good twenty minutes in WW looking at costumes, and looking at bios. The bios are great. They're full of variety. Some are really funny. Some are pretty serious. Every bio I read looked like someone had put time and effort into trying to make a character interesting. Even the people without bios often had really great costumes.
Even if all I'm doing is hanging out at Wents checking my traps, I *always* see at least one character or read one bio that makes me go "wow, COOL".
Virtue is the server where most people spend more time on their bio and costume than a random farmer on Freedom spent hitting 'random' and getting PL'ed to 50. *
*nothing against farmers, but most of them care as much about how they look as I do about what salvage costs =P -
free, paid, whatever as long as it happens.

Quote:good point- I've been mostly playing my higher level guys lately and forgot about the Oro level restrictions. The D teleport is great in the late teens/early twenties blueside. You can't use Ouro even if you have the portals, and you really start to get a bunch of missions scattered all over Paragon. It takes out a lot of the pain of getting from IP to Atlas or vice versa, because KR and Talos are always nearby.

got him to 50 the other night, compiling my shopping list- good stuff everybody.
Last night I dropped a couple of Force Feedback + Rech in Whirling Axe and Pendulum, and on a X8 map they made a substantial impact on his efficiency. Gonna drop the Armageddon chance for fire damage in his aura too, that'll be fun.... -
mentioning 'price caps' is to Ragman what chanting his name three times is to Beetlejuice.

Quote:I forgot about the mission TP cause I don't have the Mac Pack- yah, that one is pretty dang good too.Once again, must stand up for the EXTREMELY useful Self Destruction and Mission Teleporter powers. Even the Pocket D teleporter is useful (though less so now than when Ouroboros wasn't around).
Pocket D was a 'must have' when it came out, but these days.......can't remember the last time I needed it, other than when Oro hadn't recharged.
