The UI bug affects me when the client was closed and opened/launched but it only affects the first character I log in with, when I alt the other alts so far have been as I left them in terms of UI.
For base defenses, I simply entered edit mode and sold off the turbine generator and then sold off the few weapons I still had in my base. After that I installed the recently crafted fusion generator I had waiting. -

Now where is that impulse drive and warp drive tech? -
Quote:Hm, there is a certain appropriate level of irony in Adam West playing old Bruce in a Batman Beyond movie....., that would be interesting but seeing all the nods and easter egg tributes to his old series might wear thin pretty quick.I believe it was in Return of the Joker that Bruce beheaded a Two-Face dummy, so he had the costume.
If they ever did a Batman Beyond movie, there's only one way I'd want to see it realized: taking place in current day, with Adam West resuming the role that made him famous -- the Bruce Wayne from the 1966 series. After all, it's 45 years old now. But don't get me wrong, the show isn't campy. The campy history remains, but the later decades took their toll on Bruce, and he's just as grizzled as he was in the cartoon (I firmly believe Adam West could pull it off). I imagine his disillusionment beginning sometime during the 70s. Cesar Romero's Joker finally graduates from silly deathtraps and hatches his master plan of kidnapping Robin and brainwashing him as his heir. As a bonus, we get to see what Harley Quinn might have looked like had she existed during the 60s series.
I will die unhappy if this movie is never made. -
Would be nice to have Batman Beyond love movie or if Bruce Timm can make some animated Batman Beyond movies for DVD.....Terry did mention in the season 3 episode and again in Return of the Joker the "apocalypse of 2009", but we've never found out what that particular event was so that could make for an interesting story.
Also besides never seeing a Joker costume in a trophy case in the batcave, I never saw a Two Face costume either. The giant penny yes, but never a costume in a display case. Did Harvey end up staying in Arkham all his remaining days after the "Judge" personality manifested or did something else happen? -

Also, he apparently wants to settle things with Takei

To be honest, I would think these two would sit down and hash things out. This "feud" of theirs has gone a bit too long. Not sure I believe Shatner when he says he never said anything "mean" about George at all over the years as it's possible his memory may be skipping a few beats. -

Quote:Well see that's the thing, get a director and cast that are fans of the anime and actually "get it" as far as the characters go and you just might have a winner. Or you could have a stinker like the following live actions:I think I'd pray for the sweet release of death before having to endure a live-action Ranma movie. But that's just my opinion. I think very very few animés could be done justice as live-action flicks. And I was never a Ranma fan.
1. Dragonball
2. Fist of the Northstar
3. the live action 8-Man: it wasn't as bad as the above two but still weak. I always snicker at people that watch it and think it's a poor excuse for Robocop when the character predates Robocop considerably and was part of the inspiration for Robocop.
4. Perhaps the worst live action anime ever: the first Guyver movie. Poor cast, poor direction, weak adaptation, weak budget.....and J.J. from Good Times as a rapping zoanoid.....egad...... -
Problem with this badge is that a stone tank can activate the costume power and still use granite without the costume turning off, but a Kheldian cannot transform to squid or dwarf mode as that will turn off the power.

Per newsarama.com; http://www.newsarama.com/tv/10-best-...-111018-1.html
Couple entries surprised me, I think I would have switched numbers 4 and 5, and also 2 and 3, but I can't argue with the #1 choice. -
Quote:Judging by what Tony is doing in the trailer and his comment about not playing well with others, I'm going to guess that he won't be suiting up as Iron Man and joining them in battle until AFTER Loki and Stark have their little chat which appears to culminate in Loki tossing Stark through the window. He'll survive somehow and then suit up.i find it odd...having reviewed the trailer again and pausing it....that the clip goes from Stark to Cap being tossed out different windows.....
His response to Steve's comment about what's left after taking away the Iron Mar armor, and his greeting of Bruce Banner were priceless. -
Quote:Hawkeye did start off a bit misunderstood yes. But this appears to be more or less the Ultimate version of Hawkeye, which is fine.Looks like Hawkeye doesnt have a mask at all...is this the Ultimate's version or something (never looked at any of the that stuff)? Its been awhile, but didn't he start off as a misunderstood villain or something? Not sure why he wouldn't have a mask...
As to no mask for Hawkeye, unless he wears a full head piece/mask like Cap does then it wouldn't do much good. -
Quote:Hey if they want to "accidentally" overamp PB's for awhile, how many of us would complain after all the time of being considered "underpowered" ?I could see changing Solar Flare to knockdown and possibly making Pulsar 100% chance for mag 3. Other than that I don't really see what changes could be made that wouldn't be overpowering.

Quote:Too tough in comaprison to other things? Two words for that: psi holeOne thing you can say for the new Light Form and this odd heal. If you actually are below 50% health when it crashes, I would be surprised. We're rather tough with it up. We've debated elsewhere if we are too tough in comparison to other things, but I'll leave that to other threads.
The crash is definitely liveable, even midfight, and the change does help make my PB more viable.
However PB's are improved with this but there is more to do with them. -
Quote:In the last episode of DS9....or near to last episode I forget which, didn't Quark think that he was going to again be named the new Grand Nagus, only to have it be his brother who was something of a moderate-reformist in terms of Ferengi philosophy become the new Grand Nagus, and that their mother was dating with Nagus? Didn't Quark immediately order a price increase to all drinks as well as watering them down and that "the line must be drawn here" against the impending changes that his brother would implement?Well all I would say to this is that if the new series is set at least 50 to 100 years after Voyager then almost -anything- could happen. I'm quite sure if the makers of the new show want the Ferengi to be viable rivals to the Federation it would be relatively easy to explain a reason why or how it could happen in a future no one has really defined yet. You're forgetting that the Feregni don't really have to "catch-up" too far to the Federation if the Federation itself is also in a decline. Remember the social commentary I mentioned?
Like you it doesn't seem to me like the Feregni -could- get that powerful, but really anything's possible in a new show. *shrugs*
If these changes have occurred and the Ferengi are more...moderate...in their pursuit of wealth, among other society changes, then perhaps they could become a rival to the Federation.
Their technology isn't too far below the Federation, but as Ryker observed in the early TNG episode when he spoke with the alien that trapped their ships, the Ferengi lack the wisdom and discipline that the Federation has.
To me the more preferable option would be the Romulans, but I suppose that isn't possible now. -
Quote:Blood and gore sell comics. If I were writing Wolverine, yeah he'd be getting cut up and banged up at times, but I'd also be depicting a lot more of his combat skills and how he truly is one of the best fighters in the MU.You implying he is a regen tanker?!
But seriously, they often seem to paint the walls with his blood no matter if he is alone or in team.
Strictly speaking I would consider Wolverine's skills to be on par with Shang Chi, the Master of Kung Fu or that of Iron Fist. Note I said "on par" as in equal or near equal, however Wolverine's indestructible skeleton and healing power will tilt the odds back in his favor. Also punching or kicking Wolverine should hurt the attacker given the skeleton he has, and his skeleton and healing power should help resist damage from the iron fist attack. -
Quote:Well there have been some scenes of him using it, such as his final sparring session with Shang Chi, the master of kung fu who helped train him and develop this art, then he again has a sparring match with the current Madame Web. Then comes the current Spider Island garbage that is in the book and Peter and his current girlfriend are confronted by some super villains that are spider powered including the spider sense. They are losing the fight until Peter turns into Neo from the Matrix and unleashes his new "Way of the Spider" upon them. His girlfriend is left speechless and wants to know how he did that, but Peter lamely evades the issue. It's the inner child in me that always wondered how Spider-Man would perform after formal martial arts training. He can already hit hard, and martial arts emphasizes that it's just as important to know where to hit as well. It'll be interesting to see now that he'll be able to do both.
It reminds me of a story idea I had once of Spider-Man disappearing and returning with ninjitsu training.
Note: Peter is not dressed as Spiderman for this as there are a bunch of spider powered punks running around in versions of all his costumes thanks to the Jackal. So Peter decides to stay out of his costume and claim to one and all that he too just received spider powers. His girlfriend and boss at his job believe that Peter is Spiderman's "Q" as it were and that Peter helps create and develop Spiderman's hardware, and thanks to the psychic blindspot that is in place thanks to the mindwipe of Peter's Unmasking no one can figure out that he is Spidey.
I like that Peter is finally wising up a bit and using his intellect and that he is developing ways to compensate for the current loss of his spider sense, but the whole Unmasking/mindwipe junk.....ugh.... -
Quote:Blood and guts to sell comics.Thi
However writers feel that because the guy has heavy regeneration factor, they have to either show it in the story (getting him wounded) or use the character to display gory scenes that have little consequence.
Also Wolverine could also be going by the philosophy that every hit and wound he takes is one less attack to his teammates. -
Quote:2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine, two excellent books.Gotta say, for anyone who can get the Judge Dredd Megazine ((£5.49 in UK)), pick up #316! New series - American Reaper - launches with a full THIRTY TWO pages - most of them double pages - by Clint Langley. In this title he becomes a serious threat to Alex Ross's mantle. Story's good too.

Aside from starting too early which is ridiculous, many years ago I was working in a shopping mall and once the Christmas songs started playing over the mall speakers at the start of the "season", it was truly awful. Working 8 to 12 hrs a day in a retail environment with stupid/hostile customers is bad enough, but during those 8-12 hrs one must also hear the same songs ad nauseum......truly how many times must one hear Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer song by different artists before one wants to rip the speakers down?
Then the District Manager gets the stupid idea of having all his stores play Christmas songs on a radio or whatever throughout the business day, regardless of the songs playing in the mall system......that idea was flat out refused.
