Give stalkers fire, cos fire is hot and it burns things, and therefore its cool, even though that is a total temperature antithesis when you say fire is cool.

But it sooo is :P

This probally wont help much cos ive only ever had one dom, but i use a plant/fire.

The plant/ is good because, at level 12 you get a 50ft, 60* cone, confuse which, when soloing, covers the entire mob area easily.

Plus, the fly trap you get at level 32 has roots so it can AoE imobilize if it wants to.

Carrion creepers are good but their better for bigger groups than they are for solo sized groups. Although they do help when in a sticky situation.

the /fire is very useful there are quite a few AoE attacks and there are 3 quick recharging powerful single target attacks, that if used in succession can easily kill an opponent quickly considering the dominator damage output,

Also, currently on my dominator, i am level 39 and my diff is on viscious, its quite easy most of the time, and im pretty sure i could manage on ruthless, with a little bit of trouble, but it would work i guess.

So yer thats my little add on to this topic.
Basically:
Plant/ give an ealy on confuse; /fire gives a high damage output; you can easily solo on viscious once you reach 32

what about the epic enhancement sets, most if not all of them give a 10% reduction to recharge time, and there are quite a few of them.

but you have to be lvl 50 and they take up a hell of a lot of inf

well i guess none of the existing defendives fit for stalkers then, but the offensives are easier but not easy to figure out.

oh well, makes it more exciting to see what they come up with!!

Hey.

With the new news of power prolification for villains and heros, i descided to take a look at what the possibilities of new powers could be for each archetype.

But after looking though the possibilities for stalkers i realised that there is really only one possibility... Invulnerability...

This is because no other set would fit with stalkers: ice, fire and elec are all too light so they don't fit in with the hidden idea, stone is just totally out of the question because how can rocks be invissiable so really the only option is well invulnerability.

What do you guys think??

well i think ive pretty much descided,

ill keep power sink from the epic set and slot it with efficiency adapter for the bonuses

i will then use the 2 power slots i have spare to get some smashing and lethal resistance from the fighting set,

sound good??

im not sure if i need either because i only rarely find myself in a situation where i need more endurance because of hasten, domination, my holds and my pet.

so i was thinking maybe i should take weave as a nice def bonus what you guys think???

i used to play an mm, got him to lvl 26 then had to create a new account, re made got boring having less than all the minions so i started a plant/fire dom and hes now level 35 after about 3-5 months of playing

doms are prety fun to play with and even better when you find out you can easily cope with viscious difficulty and hold red bosses easily, its great and the exp if fabulouse :P

doms are really fun to play but the damage output can get kinda tough when you want to kill stuff quickly.

well i have a dom curently lvl 35 and i was wonderin if these powers are woth keeping/taking

the main reason for me making this thread is cos i practically never use attacks in melee range, i do go in close for the cone attacks to make sure i get as many as poss but i never use my pbaoe attacks.

also i have one spare space on my build as it is so if i get rid of these three ill have space to improve my res and deff seeing as i currently dont really have any.

so do you think that it is a good idea to scrap these pbaoe's and replace it with some powers that morte suit my play style??

rikti, look arround for them, lots of science, tech and mutation SO enhancements, but if i were you id'e just go buy some IO's for the set bonuses

i recomend a plant/fire dom, cos thats what i play and it PWN3S :P

rly the confuse is sooo useful and the fire does decent damage and has soem good AoE's

ok, my best guess would be to, in the case of two minions...

first use the group imob and move away to protect yourself from melee, if you have a few + imob time enhancements on your group imob it will hold them for easily long enough.

then next hold whichever one is strongest e.g. an lt or the guy with most health. then repeatedly spam attack the other guy till he dies.

make sure that you keep hold of the stongest guy, or if your hold racharges fast enough or holds for long enough you can hold the other guy so that both are held, it helps if you have AoE attack's when spamming attacks cos i have a /fire and fire breath does help diminish the nme's health. and im sure power has some cone AoE's or summin.

yr well with 3 or more it useually gets tricky if ones an lt and i useually confuse them cos im plant/ but i guess you dont have a cone confuse so i cant rly give much help on that.

hope you have fun with your dom, my current dom is the furthest iv'e got with a char before and its lvl 32 :P not too bad but its still not close to 50.

Ps: but then again shouldn't rly worry bout gettin a 50 cos the dev's are thinking of a way to make the villain epics avaliable before 50.

turns out i chose soul matery as my future patron, but i have consume from the /fire set so do i need dark consumption?

or should i just change to MU mastery which i think i would prefer.

well im thinking about getting rid of combustion because i never rly use it in a battle situation.

the only times iv'e used it are once when an enemy was stuck in the wall on a mish.
and to get my domination up when in large teams before a mish.

but thats rly all, i could deal without it relativly easily, but i dunno what to take instead.

ive got to fill lvl 24, dont want to take a power from my primary or secondary set, i have hover + fly, hasten and swift + health + stamina. from the pool powers and i was thinking of taking assault, but what do you think i should take as my lvl 24 power.

ok its not a blaster but i have a /fire dominator, and flares is generally a necesity, the recharge speed combined with build up and hasten makes it a very useful attack and it is really useful when taking out tougher enemies.

basically

low end cost
fast recharge
low but not bad damage
+ fiery embrace for added 100% damage to fire
+ hasten half recharge time (i think)

so it does arround 4x the actual damage is should do with only 2x the end cost which is nowhere near enoguh to depleat your total.

but fire doms do have less in the way of fire attacks like those in the fire blaster set so im guessing that the debate can vary alot and this might not make much of a difference, but i i were you...

wait so electric is more resisted than energy... well last time i checked elec and nrg both do nrg damaga and nrg has more smashin damage in it that elec.

plus the first nrg attack is for knockback, and elec doesn't have much nockback does it??

plus nrg has all the benefits of stuff like power boost, boost range etc wereas elec is a bit less buff based and more attack damage based.

aww thats a shame so im guessing grant invis and invisability will do nicely,

plus with manouvres, the protector bot shields and the force field gen shield i can get my def prety high so im guessing i wont need repair much so i could drop that.

Ps: i worked out that i can bet 41.125% defence to all damange at lvl 50 without and enhancements, and im gona put alot of enhancements on my defenceive powers

well i was wondering if it's possible to command your bots whilst your intangible, also is it possible effect allies with leadership powers and for the supremacy to work or does it all get cancled out?

also if you can use leadership and supremacy whilst intangible i want to know which powers in my build i should substitute for the concealment set,

and if you cant use those powers whilst intangible i wanna know which powers i should substitute for grant invis, and invisability

once i know what i can and cant do with intangibility then i will post my build.

Ps: just found out you can only be intangible for 30 secs dam... well i guess it would be stupid if it was a constant toggle. but it must be possible to get to perma intangeible using recharge enhancements right??

i have a bots/traps and its working prety well, but something that suprised me about soloing heroes was that i managed to defeat ms. liberty and her mum on my own with a dominator (gasp) i was soo supprised and i got 8000 xp out of it which is rly usedful at lvl 25

i have one reason why someone might want to power level,

on my first account i had a lvl 27 MM, when i got to level 26 i was like, wow these bots are amazing i love this game, but then i had to get a new account and my MM is back down at 16, and believe me it is pretty boring playing a lvl 16 MM after having a lvl 27 mm, i just wanna go back (cry lots, devs have pitty on my and give me exp and badges or a lot of mission skips would be good... Joking)

well perception, i teamed with a lvl 40 something once and i encountered the perception problem, pluss the map was bugged and it kept dissapearing which was very annoying, why the map!!! anyway, on the Black Marcket you can buy insps which arn't availiable at low levels, could be higher levels aswell im not sure but what i do know is that they increase your perception and only your perception in the same preportion as the other insps e.g rage or insight.

so they sould help with the perception problem, also perseption and hide probally do similar stuff for you when you look at the battle from the other point of view,
a stalker in PvE with a placate will not become invissiable to themselves when they use the placeate but they will lower the perception of the target, which basically means the spiders use a short placate with a quick hide which allows them to become undetected for however long till they attack,
the other guys use a smoke bomb which is a perception de-buff showing that this wont be broken by an attack it has to wear off or be countered so that should be helpful to you

(this info was taken from my knowledge and one lackeyed mishion so if its wrong i appologies but i think it makes good sence)
