i think its still potentially too early to really know what the outcome will be
this is only week 3 since announcement, and iirc we didnt know the devs had even started talking with ncsoft until week 2
internation business deals are not something that will happen overnight, i think its possible we may not hear anything on the results of these negotiations for another 1-2 weeks at least unless we are all lucky and a decision is reached sooner -

well the way i figure it is if there were ~100,000 active players when the announcement happened, out of the current 18,684 who signed the petition i figure <1000 of them were not current players since it has been heavily promoted in game while only vaguely mentioned on the various articles

gratz Agge
if i ever get married in the future i would want it to be either star wars themed or CoH themed (or both) -
my 3 month sub renewed on aug 25th so i technically have VIP till nov 25th (i cancelled my sub cause i had suspicion that autorenewed accounts were not disabled)
i will re enable my sub if coh stays alive -
ill have to be there on one of the few hero toons that i have lol
ill do my best to be there unless something unexpected pops up -
next week for 2 days there will be a mass posi run on all servers hosted by folks at titan network

Quote:this is true from my research as well, the badge is just for attempting COP trial, not only for completionsUnless they fixed it, you got badge credit for starting the cop trial not per sg member, but what this means is you just have to start it and not actually run the trial, and I think it was 100 times.
I think Tife, SacBros and maybe a few other dirty cheaters got the badge this way.
and yes it was 100 times, so you could get it by yourself it would just take 100 hours of sitting on the map for the COP lol (yes i tested that too, you have to actually be on the CoP map in order to receive credit)
another thing i tested (to answer someone elses post) is that you only get credit for 1 run at a time regardless how many members of your sg are on the run (now you could get multiple credit if multiple sg's hosted the trial) -
ive been doing my best to be on the game every night since i have been doing my best to keep my peeps on victory who dont go on the forums very often informed about whats happening

i blame satanic hamster for not keeping voodoocompany in check with the random images to boggle his mind

if the game stays alive (dont care who owns it) i would renew my 3 month sub and continue spending as i usually do (between 0 and 50 a month extra into the market)
if coh doesnt stay alive i wont be playing any mmos and will most likely put more of the money into other games/new computer for other games -
i dont have many options for heroes but ill try to be there
-
Quote:i agree, i honestly dont know exactly what will go on with those as wellThis is actually a crap shoot. There's no official word on this. Some players have kept their VIP while others lost it.
i cancelled my sub which renewed about a week before shutdown so if i do lose VIP it will be 5 days before nov 30th
hopefully by then we will know for certain if the game will be saved or not, either way im not giving ncsoft anymore of my money -
i have to agree that dungeons of dredmore and cthullu saves the world were both very fun games
i loved the dialogues in cthullu saves the world
a non RPG game that i have enjoyed is terraria (cause i dont prefer minecraft)
feel free to look me up on steam, i usually write recommendations for games that i have played all the way through -
if we do happen to save coh i think its still possible we will see all of it, it might take more time than originally planned due to potentially impending doom, but all of the stuff is already in the game files so its very possible it will just be continued if we manage to pass over this major interruption

i wont be going to CO because i absolutely cannot stand the graphics (as steelclaw put it they look like they were drawn by a 10 year old)
i wont be going to DCUO because ive not heard many good things about it, mostly that it is too console like and not well designed as an MMO (if it only has like 40 hours of content in it what good is it compared to say any other console game?)
ive never been interested in WoW and i dont much care for many of the f2p options out there
if we cant save coh then i will most likely just be playing games on my steam games list that i havent had time to play cause i was playing coh lol (the first 2 on my list are borderlands 2 and torchlight 2) -
ive not seen anything odd with my launcher either
i dont think they will remove it from the launcher until the game closes or they sell to another company -
Quote:from what ive heard, if you were VIP before the closure announcement then you will be permanently VIP until the game either shuts down or another company takes overYeah I need to hurry up and run the Praetorian content on my main. Have yet to do the iTrials, but I lose VIP in a couple days.... :/
However, I just rolled a new character today that's playing through all the old beginner content (Flux, Wincott, etc).
same basically goes for non VIPs since there is no way to upgrade to VIP atm -
ive not had a patch to beta for awhile now either

heh, nice little banter with your alternate ego leandro

i dont plan on giving up, i wont let this game die because i too enjoy spending the time on it with all of you guys
this game means so much more to me than most other games because of the awesome community we have -
i thought the special was hilarious, although it kind of saddened me there wasnt any coh related bumps before/during commercial break/after the special
