    Solo Brute?

low lvl brutes are prolly more equivalent to scrappers in terms of survivability, however brutes can solo fairly well once you get up higher (you should be fine since you have your shields, just need mroe attack and some end slotting)

also, a question, what enemy groups are you fighting and what difficulty are you set on? because ive never had issues running brutes at low lvl solo on the default diff (+0x1 no boss no AV)

honestly it doesnt really matter much, some of the hero accolades badge requirements are much more annoying than the villain badges, like for one of the hero accolades you need to get the badge for killing the MI pets, which they dont even spawn below 40 so you couldnt get that solo until at least 40

you should be thankful that the villain badges are fairly easy to get, they could have required one of the villain accolades to require the badge for killing outcast bosses, how would you feel about that? it could be gotten at much lower lvl, but have fun farming the mish that spawns 1-3 per run at x8 spawn size

i dont see the point in HAVING to have the accolade before lvl 50 because once you get it, you will always have it even when exemping so i usually just wait till im in the 40s or even 50 anyway to start accolade hunting so when i do exemp i got some nice shinies i can use at low lvl (having a decent +hp and +end bonus at lvl 10 or 20 makes things MUCH easier IMO)

    Dark Control

i was thinking, if they did decide to make a dark control, you just KNOW that they will most likely throw black hole in there (and it will be the 1 barely used power similar to how gravity is now with dimension shift)
  4. for 1, you dont even have to complete the LRSF to get the badge needed for the accolade, just get to the 3rd mish and then you all get badge you need for accolade, after the 3rd mish you can continue or stop, up to you

IMO, invader is MUCH more annoying to get than marshal because you cant just flashback to mayhems or get mayhems from low lvl brokers

I mean, I'd like to put up my lvl 27 sleep IO recipe for sale for someone who might want one a month from now, but I don't want it taking up space for that long (and it will!). Even salvage, I'll put up the worthless stuff for 1 inf, but it still takes time to clear. Why not just have the market auto-buy at vendor prices if there's 0 demand? Really, who gets hurt from this?
i wouldnt consider myself a marketeer lol, i just dump everything i want to sell on the market at 1 inf on the off chance ill get better payout and im too lazy to run to a quartermaster to vender 1-2 sleep IOs, i usually only hit the market when i log in to claim in and before i log off to sell my loots for the day that i dont need

as for your idea of the market auto-buying something that has no demand, it would be a good idea, but i dont know how hard it would be to implement
  6. i rarely vendor anything, the only time i even go to the quartermasters is when i need to get or reslot SOs (i dont see vendors before SOs, and i only see vendors when the SOs im using become out-dated)

so in the end, i put everything i dont want on the market (although 99% of the time its only recipes since i usually just delete common salvage when it gets full because it is so dang cheap to buy)

the only thing i do vendor from time to time when i know im getting full is generic IO recipes (since those usually sell for double to triple the market price that they are listed for)

    *shrug*

As someone who is currently interested in a few Hunt badges (redside), I might have a bit of personal greed influencing my opinions, but I'll at least be honest about that.
heh, no worries, im a big badger myself (as seen in my sig), ive already spent my time getting all the defeat badges redside (the only few that i had hard time with were the skull bosses, troll bosses, and outcast bosses)

    That's just one opinion though.
well it could also be harder, think of fighting an 8 man spawn of nothing but fake nems, think of the 30 stacking dispersion bubbles and force fields lol

i dont think the devs can specify that it counts only for custom mobs or such, its either allowed in AE or not

this is how it works i believe

there are 25 badges in the AE section, but the accolade is technically AE too, which makes 26 total AE badges

I could see, for example, not getting credit for Unvieler (killing Fake Nems) if you ran an arc featuring a custom group of nothing but Fake Nems (for quick and easy farming). But if the entire, normal faction is within the map, the risk/reward would be the same as a non-AE Portal Corps mission.
honestly i think defeat badges should still be left out of AE as it would make them trivial to get

however, the inf, dmg, mez, ect badges should be allowed to get progress in AE because they are just generic stuff (and outside exploits shouldnt be any slower/faster to get than they currently are)

    Dark Control

its not a bad idea, but like blitz said, it would eliminate the dark miasma set for them

i think this is one of the reasons controllers/doms dont have a dark control set

however, something that might be slightly easier to create would be a dark assault set for dominators (since assault sets are mostly attacks it would be mostly dark blast powers)
  12. no, cant be done

all badges not AE related cannot be earned inside the AE (this goes for defeats, dmg, inf, heals, mezzes, even the sk badges)

the only thing that can be earned in AE are the 25 AE related badges

Insult me if you feel the need to, but at least bother to include an explanation of how a tanker is supposed to contribute to a team's success here. Tell me how and why it's even desirable to have a tanker on a team running this. Explain how it's not the case that any other character would be helping more.
in the case of vanguard the tank still can hold aggro, but they get aggro after the foes are locked down in some way so they dont kill you outright, its much easier to get aggro of a group thats mass held for the first 10-15 sec than to just jump into the mob outright, vanguard are nasty to squishies too, but they arent bad if you lock them down, but the controller cant hold aggro against x8 mobs and thus its the job of the tank to hold aggro still, but will be 10x easier to hold aggro after they are debuffed/mezzed
  15. ive never had problems with vanguard, yes they are very tough to resistance based melee users because they debuff you out the wazoo, but that doesnt mean they are broken.

i do however think that certain things (simultaneous glowy mishs, sewer trial, ect) do need to be looked at, the sewer trial is fine as is, just needs a slightly longer time limit

the STF and LRSF are supposed to be tough, thats why they should be hard, and if you think those are biased against ATs look at the barracuda sf, that one almost requires you to have a mm to keep reichs from going untouchable at 50% hp, without a mm, reichsman is 10x harder to kill or impossible for most teams.

that sounds so epic, i wish i saw that lol

Maybe they will add more strike forces to the mission computer, maybe use it for base raids, heck may as well be the Cathedral of Pain. All I am saying is, I sat there in my base for about 30 minutes the other day staring at the mission computer and thought to myself "what the heck am I going to do with this now?"

As for the badges. I wasn't wondering where any of them are. I was just wondering about the names of the badges. I don't care about what they do or etc. I just wanted a little info about maybe one or two cool new badges ya know?
well the one thing they did mention was a large majority of the new badges were gonna be exploration type badges, as to how many and what they are, we dont know yet

  19. they made it clear that incarnate levels were different from normal levels, and that incarnate levels could only be used if you buy GR
  20. i would prolly put hasten or AM on auto (i put hasten on auto with my sonic/rad which has hasten since it has a non-rooting and fastyer activating time)

then i usually click AM whenever its up (i keep it at the last slot in the power bar so its not in the way of the attack powers)

since PA will be part of your attack chain you would definitly want that in an easy to use location on the power bar
  21. the best slotting you can do with SOs on those IMO would be to 3 slot each of them with rech reductions
  22. Necrotech_Master

    Knockback IOs

if you were making a pur kb build i would go with kinetic crash, 6 slots of which give you kb potect, smash resist, and 7.5% rech

5 of those sets would be quite a bit of thse good bonuses
  23. honestly my perfect team is one that works well together

for tf/sf and such, the only sf that i actually care about team build is barracuda sf (since it is pivotal in the fnal battle), i will at minimum try to get a mm for that and if nothing else i can just use one of mine since without a mm reichsman i extremely difficult or impossible to take down

since the tf was introduced the final encounter with reichsman hs been extremely buggy

the main bug with it is that the mm temp power has been on/off for working in the past year since it came out, as far as i know right now, it definitly works

you only need 1 mm to hit him with it 1 time in order to stop him from phasing, most of it is just beating the tar out of him. the best thing to use against him is resistance debuffs, since 1 strong regen debuff will kill his regen, debuffing resistance is the best option since he has between 85 an 95% resist to all dmg

about 2 weeks ago i ran a 4 man barracuda and finished it cause we had a mm to stop him from phasing, just takes forever to kill him cause of his massive amount of hp, another time i was on a team with my coalies and we had a mm with us and we killed him in like 15-20 min, even before the ambushs stopped flowing into the room

doing the cuda sf with no mm is just asking for trouble, unless you have enough dps and -regen to keep him from healing as much in his phased periods, you will never win

the cuda sf is unique because it almost requires you to have at least 1 mm to stop him from phasing, once he stops phasing hes a piece of cake, just make sure you have a mm every time and as far as i know, the mm temp right now is working correctly so it will stop him from phasing

ive read in at least 2 threads so far that claimed that "redside is gonna be so dead cause everyone will switch to blueside", when i saw stuff like that it kind of made me cringe a little because i strongly dislike blueside, the content and tfs are so dull, yes i dont mind the tfs because they are actually worth something merit-wise, but when half a tf is just mind-numbing kill alls on medium to large maps, then i rather be without

i personally will be moving all of my hero toons to villains, i might make all my toons rogues so i can still partake in hero tfs, but ill still be redside primarily, i honestly dislike blueside, the zones are way to big, they are not connected very well, contacts have stupid simultaneous glowy clicking mishs and send you all over the freaking place instead of sticking to 1-2 zones
