it is possible to change patron pools via respecs
and stalkers get the night widow from soul mastery, blood widows are for brutes and VEATs -
you cant drop the arc, but you can select any patron pool unless you already went into one of the pools, if you already started the pool, the only way to change pools is a respec

the popup IS going go be back because it is in the test server patch notes for the current patch on test, unless of course all the griping about it being added back in the thread about that gets through

Ever have that one longbow eagle fly away from you? Wouldn't it be nice to smite him from afar? Dark Blast to the rescue!
There are other powers in there too, that are meant to supplement your abilities as a stalker. As mentioned: Shadow Meld can be a great way to save yourself from cascading defensive failure. Hibernate is nice in PvP, I'd imagine, but you have to be careful coming out of it. Also as mentioned, spirit shark does pretty over the top damage.
Mu can give you some extra AoE damage if that's what you're looking for. Also, I've heard that the Mu pet heals you.
Black Scorpion causes redraw. I hardly ever pick his powers on any character.
stalkers and brutes get the mu striker i think which is just added dmg/end drain on enemies -

im glad they got rid of the popup, and now im VERY annoyed that they are bringing it back
next patch mystic fortune IS going to be an annoyance again instead of a nice passive buff i hardly notice
edit: discussion of patch notes on test server here and a LOT of poeple in that thread are against the change back to the popup -

This game has long ago moved away from the Tank-Healer-DPS model of other games. You can succeed at most tasks with a large variety of team configurations (all Trick Arrow STF, all Scrapper ITF), and in many cases that requires more teamwork and coordination than grabbing a meatshield, a bunch of buff/debuffers and some damage.
There is no difference between beating on Reichsman for 10 minutes and beating on Recluse for 5 minutes, except that beating on Reichsman for 10 minutes requires an optimal team (otherwise it's more like 30), and beating on Recluse for 5 minutes is actually more dangerous.
so if you dont have a mm to get the temp to make him not do that, unless you have a lot of -regen, then he will almost always regen back 1/4 of his hp and be near unkillable because he will always activate the power at 50% unless you do more dmg to him than he regens in that mode and before it recharges (i think its on a timer but im not quite sure) -

and the banner event sucks mostly because you dont even have prep time, like with the lord winter thing and whatnot, you could take almost as much time as you wanted to gether poeple to kill the winter lord and then go into lord winters realm, however with banners, as soon as banners spawn the timer starts counting -

I wasn't active, (still subbed, just not playing) during october-november last year so I completely missed the halloween event. My badger villainess is very sad that she doesn't have those badges!
And I didn't even know it could still be triggered outside the event. I have never seen it happen once in all these months (I work a lot in the weekends and on evenings though).
How does that work? candy canes you say? I got some of those.
Is it much harder than the Winterlord Realms event? My bros and me did that with just the 3 of us, so maybe we can do the banner too.

how the event works is 4 banners spawn in a zone, and when you get near one, a vulnerability meter will show, and you have to kill LOTs of the baddies that spawn from ALL of the banners to make the banners themselves vulnerable, once the banners are vulnerable you have to kill all the banners (each banner is basically a GM), and IF you finish that in time, then the timer resets and you have to find the GM that spawned and kill him to complete the event (find and killing the spawned GM is like 500x easier than getting the banners all killed in time limit)
the time limit for making banners vulnerable AND killing them is 20 min, then, after you kill the banners you have 20 min to find and kill the GM
basically if you dont have a LOT of poeple or a very well planned out team of lvl 50s, then chances are the event is a bust and you prolly wont get all 4 banners (average team will get 1-3 *maybe*) -
i really dislike 3d movies as well, the glasses NEVER worked for me so the whole movie was just like the regular movie with a red lined and green lined version which was really awful to watch for more than a few minutes
and ive heard from my friend who works at a movie theater is saying that 3d movie prices are going up again -
i like new toons, but i can keep altitis under control because i only play on one server and im limited by how many toon slots are on that server (the very very few toons i made off server are very rarely ever seen again, the few i have right now are lvl 1 and didnt go through tutorial, i think i have 1 toon thats lvl 14, but thats it, most of them left forgotten with over 400 days since they were last logged in)

the sewer trial in my opinion has some issues, the +2 diff default isnt that bad, only a minor annoyance but it DOES add challenge
the generators mechanic and how to defeat the hydra head, both are fine
however, in my opinion, the ONLY thing that needs to be done to the trial is increase timer, 1.5 hours is BARELY enough for most teams and a PuG is nigh impossible to complete before the time limit is down
i suggest the time limit needs to be increased, it does not have to be a lot, just adding 30 minutes to the timer would give most teams ample enough time to finish it
if you all dont want to increase the timer, then give things like hatched krakens the "safeguard" treatment and give you time back for killing them (like 15 min for each kraken, since on average thats how long it takes to kill them unless you have debuff or dmg heavy team) -

This I and 7 others on Union experienced as we joined up on when a banner event hit Grandville.
There are 4 banners. Let there be two team mates to each banner. Stay in the banner, kill as many things as you can (and watch over each other) until the banners are vulnerable. During this killing decide on which banner is your 1, 2, 3 and 4'th target to kill. (Team teleport to the one far far away is good or tp the players from afar to the one where everyone is nearest.)
When all banners are defeated, the big boss with its remaining horde members appear somewhere (follow the fleeing npc's). As far as I remember the big boss have no timer.
Hope this post helps the people out there that have missed out on the badges (and event).

i know for a fact that vengeance does count for heal badges because it does have a healing component, my stone brute with 0 ally heals, has done 0 gladiator matches, and has used 0 powers that heal other than veng has almost gotten up to 100k heal points with nothing but veng (i tend to solo a lot tis why it doesnt go faster)

i think the phantasm is fine as it is, but using doppelganger tech for the PA would definitely be cool

my main villain is definitly evil, hes a mastermind who loves to manipulate others for his own gain, and he treats his pets as meatbags that he can just spawn more of, his ultimate goal is to amass power and wealth and doesnt care who he has to put down to make things happen
most of my other villains are essentially his leutenants (kind of how lord recluse has the patrons) and they all work towards the same goals -
its a known bug thats planned to be fixed in the next patch

you cant stack the schilles proc, so it would do that much -resist, with more chances you could keep it applied more consistently, but it cannot stack
demons -resist CAN stack as far as im aware -

thats why i gave the example of my stone brute, did 0 dmg farming and still doesnt have the 4th dmg badge yet
most of my toons currently can make it to the 2nd dmg badge on the route to 50 -
yes the vanguard sword is in there, signature boss class units include:
- lady grey
- serpent drummer
- all the NPCs in the vanguard arcs (faultline, fusionette, and a few others)

i think Snow Globe understands what im trying to say, i have no beefs with the other epic badges for heals, inf, mez, ect, just the dmg ones
my stone brute which does NO afk farming for any of the epic badges (but regularly runs mishs on x8 spawn settings solo and runs sf's a lot) and has about 701 hours of play, as of now he only has:
- about 7.7 mil dmg taken so almost has the 4th dmg badge
- 87,000 pts on first heal badge
- almost up to the 1 hour mez badge
- all sk badges
- all debt badges
- and has earned about 308 mil inf (which is about 60% of the way to the current leader badge)
for being a stone brute you would think this guy would have taken WAY more dmg being the lead brute on many tf/sf teams and running mishs set for 8 man spawns solo, not having a lot of progress on the heal badges is expected as i have no healing powers except for veng, and since running granite makes him immune to most mezzes therefore i dont get a lot of mez badge time
so from the example all of the badges are fairly attainable with no farming, but a stone brute who tanks sf/tf and regularly solo's normal mishs at x8 spawn sizes should have more than 7.7 mil dmg taken (hes prolly lost a tone due to having hp bonuses from some accolades and even moreso when earths embrace is on
- without earths embrace on he has 359 hp bonus
- with earths embrace he has 1251 hp bonus
with poeple who can perma dull pain type powers, they can have as much as 2000ish hp bonus, which is a LOT of points for the badge that your missing out on, 100 hp bonus is manageable, but for anyone who has normally like 300-500 bonus (or more) it becomes MUCH more detrimental to badge progress (being hp capped means you have to lose 2/3 of your hp in order to even get pts on the badge since hp cap is 3x the base hp)
that is why i propose to at least fix the hp bonus issue so you can still get credit for dmg taken when your legitimately getting dmg'd, if thats not possible due to code reasons, then they should be lowered (not significantly, but lowered enough to account for missing dmg, my first guess would be the last badge be either 25 or 50 mil) -
i am glad that they are doing more promotions
however, i am kind of annoyed that they didnt have this option of ordering 2.5 months ago when they announced the other options
i think thats why some poeple dont seem happy is cause they didnt get this option till now and there are a lot more people who would prefer this option to just getting 2 powersets early
i wanted the powersets early, and i do like them, but if i had the option of this or the prepurchase option, i think i might have gone with this since the prepurchase didnt offer anything except the powersets
IMO, i am glad they are doing more to promote the game and will be purchasing this when i get the chance because i like more shineys
(on a side note i do feel bad for EU people since they dont have any gamestops over there)
