Illusionists and Doppelganger technology

i think the phantasm is fine as it is, but using doppelganger tech for the PA would definitely be cool
The Devs have commented on it. They will not change the basic appearance of PA or Phantasm. However at some point in the future they might consider possibly giving players the option of using dopplegangers.

That would be too cool if PA could look like me. I like them now, but that would be really cool.

This way, you can keep the old anonymous phantoms or have ones which appear just like you do - only as phantoms.

Now that the Doppelganger technology exists to clone player characters...
Would it be possible for Illusion Control characters to be able to summon phantom versions of themselves as Phantom Army and Phantasm? Seeing three phantom versions of yourself with fire/ice swords and another version firing energy bolts from the sky would be pretty fantastic!
