  1. if it was it would have had to been with the strike pack patch, because i got a dom to 50 over 2xp weekend and nophase was still messing with sleet

to make it worse, nophase was also affecting the GvE jump pack, mish tp and vet base tp

i sent in a bug report about 2 weeks ago about it
  2. yes, the way the system was done you can not earn ANY non AE badge in AE mishs

so running AE you cant earn credit on epic dmg, heal, debt, mez badges, defeats, ect ect

the only badges you can earn in AE are AE related badges such as running a hall of fame or killing 1 custom baddy

you are right, seems maintenance days are only thursday, so then im not really sure
  4. you know the animation for the blaster electrical mastery static discharge?

the animation for electric shackles is about the same as that (at least in terms of the stance your characters goes into)

the actual animation of the power is you shoot out quick electric bolts from your hands which bolts to the target and kind of circles around them (im horrible at explaining things, but i hope it helps)
  5. to answer the one thing, most likely after whenever the maintenance takes place

as for your other option about the heros and silver mantis sf, silver mantis is an entirely redside sf, and i dont think the hero mish computers have any options on them aside from the CoP trial access
  6. i think you were still amazingly lucky to finish and that you did persevere where many poeple would have given up

you got really really lucky on solo pulling the patrons, that feat in and of itself is very hard to do, and with not taunt or taunt aura on the brute, very likely that if more than 1 came would have team wiped

the main things you want to have on LRSF/STF is good debuff and a good tank, -regen is your best friend when it comes to dealing with AVs, as well as high def

    i7-860, 8 Gb RAM, Radeon HD 5770, 10.12.
i think the only other time ive seen something like this happen is on the respec or the tailor screens since they, like the enhance screen, pull up a full screen window type thing
  8. brutes not having taunt would be a problem for that, however i know some brutes may or not take taunt because they build their toons like scrappers

although he didnt sound very good to begin with because he was missing RTTC, which is an extremely good power

i think it sounds like you just had bad luck with that run, LRSF/STF are some of the more tough tf/sf in the game, recluse being buffed like he is, is even hard for a fully IOd tank to handle without inspirations or outside help

just remember to check before you start to at least have a tank/brute who knows how to tank recluse and the run should be pretty smooth
  9. each toon you have is eligible for 1 "bonus" worthy run of the weekly strike target, it doesnt matter when you run it, you just get 1 "bonus" per week

so if you ran the target tf today with a toon, then you would be eligible when it changes tomorrow for another bonus

they didnt need to put a timer type gating like with tips and buying stuff from the alignment merit vendors because each toon is limited to 1 bonus per target tf/sf and they already gated this by changing the target once a week
  10. i notice this even when im alone and nobody is anywhere near me

its mostly auras and other animated effects, like if you go to the enhances screen then come out then you see the drawing of every animation of the aura that happened while you were on the enhance screen

oddly enough this doesnt lag me at all usually, and going to the enhance screen sometimes helps clear up any lag that i am having lol

heh i usually use cutscenes as a quick second to refresh the forums or read a post or 2 since im running 2 monitors usually lol
  12. from my experience poeple who want drops tend to farm at -1 or +0 settings, and with the lvl boost, thats killing green to blue minions, and since all drops are random generator based, more killing = more drops

i do agree though there should be a slightly higher % of drop on stuff at higher difficulty, all i know is that the enemy rank is the only determining factor for drop increases
  13. i have a decent sg on victory, good coalition and basically no rules, so if you are interested always welcome to join

the only time i ever kicked poeple is when the sg is literally full, and i usually try to not kick poeple who are in good standing (ie they have been promoted at least once)
  14. i think you still did a good job of finishing the last mish only a kin and a ton of melee lol

i wish i had something to add, but the 12-14 LRSFs and 2 STFs ive done in the past 5 days all went really smoothly, maybe with a bumpy part here or there, but nothing that bad lol

    1. Mids shows that you can take heroside Epics but I seem to remember seeing that VEATS are restricted to Villain Epics only, which is true?

    2. In Soul Mastery I was going to take Dark Obliteration but looking at the numbers Soul Tentacles does more damage, comes up more often and has the advantage of being a group immob - any reason to take Dark Obliteration?
    1. i think that may be a bug in mids, as im fairly sure VEATs are still restricted to patron pools

    2. dark obliteration is a target aoe and soul tentacles is a very narrow cone, if you fight in melee a lot, soul tentacles wont hit more than maybe 1-2 enemies if your in the middle of a mob, but dark obliteration will hit everything around your target and does -tohit (which i do not think soul tentacles has)
  16. while i have no beef with how these new WST badges work, i do also agree that 50 is kind of much, i think a more reasonable number would be 25, its only 15 more than the 10 badge, which would take maybe another 2 weeks depending on how much you ran tfs

For some characters, I won't care about that too much. I'm going to get GP to the very rare, but more because it's going to boost his resists even higher. For some of my characters, the rare is going to be good enough because of the level shift. Two of my blasters don't really need to go higher for the Spiritual Boosts, for instance. Having RoA or Hail of Bullets up 4-5 seconds sooner isn't worth that much investment, I don't think.
there is a slight increase in the enhance that the tier 4 gives, but its basically only because a slightly larger portion ignores ED

tier 3s ignore 1/2 of ED and tier 4s ignore 2/3 ED

    (ie a .5 ignore or .6666... ignore)

the only other thing that the tier4s are good for is that they enhance a little bit more than the tier 3s, like in the multi aspect portion

but beside the slight increase in what ignores ED and enhancing more stuff (some of which you may not need anyway), it doesnt make the tier 4s a MustHaveNao type of thing
  18. so far im really enjoying the lvl shifts on the 8ish toons that ive gotten it on already

one of my toons had several components and 90 shards before this came out, so ive crafted everything he needs to get to the very rare with the exception of needing 3 more notice of the wells

i do have to admit that it is REALLY annoying right now that were limited to 1 notice per week per toon, and it will be nice in i20 to actually be able to get notices from alternative methods but thats still several months off

honestly i do agree with the point of view of a lot of other people that there is very little difference between the tier 3 and tier 4 boosts, the only thing that is a real game changer is the level shift, which you can get at the tier 3
  19. i would prolly also keep a cardiac on hand as well for the end help if needed, spiritual is also good as it helps rech all your debuffs

and technically triage beacon is a good amount of +regen, with high rech you can stack it or at least perma it so you always have a decent regen boost
  20. ill prolly post a picture of me and my gf once i ask her if she wants to be posted lol, if she doesnt ill just crop the picture or take a new one with either my webcam or DSiXL
  21. the arachnos flier has always had the bombs

the bombs from my research on it, are called arachnos cruise missiles and most likely a pseudo pet of some kind

i think they are in ae atm listed under the arachnos faction, why i have no idea
  22. well the build you came up with does appear to soft cap positional def

it might be a little end heavy with all the toggles though

from my experience with smoke flash, its definitly not worth too much, and is also an end hog to boot, i would replace that with something else

i would suggest replacing it with hasten to have your debuffs up as much as possible

other than that i think this could potentially be a viable build for soloing an AV
  23. i know soft capping smash/lethal and maybe energy wouldnt be too hard because mace mastery and ice mastery both have def based shields in them

ice mastery would actually be very good because of the powers in it (such as hibernate) to help increase your survivability

with mace mastery you would have a shield to give smash/lethal/energy def, a mass immob, and power boost

with ice mastery you would get some slow with the attack, a dull pain type power, hibernate, and a shield for smash/lethal def
  24. ninja/traps wouldnt be impossible to solo AVs but it would prolly be more difficult than some combos because of the pets melee nature

i would slot the soulbound build up proc into jounin since they are your highest dmg pets

and the usual way that poeple solo AVs with a mm is to soft cap yourself to positions and use a 6 slotted provoke from the presence pool to keep aggro off your pets

this is obviously easiest to do with a bot/trap because of the bubble the bots give you
  25. while i have to agree with Memphis Bill on some points such as the no way we will be able to take everything off

i do agree the current respec system is very cumbersome and i also hate to respec my toons because of it

my biggest complaints with it are:
    • a huge PITA if you only want to change out 1 or 2 powers or just move a few slots around
    • extremely annoying when it finishes by throwing every temp, inherent, primary, secondary, and pool powers into your power trays
if they made it so you could jsut go back and change an individual power out or even just respec enhance slots that would make it a ton better than it is now, and if they could fix the part where it dumps everything on your trays, that would be the best possible thing i think they could do with it
