  1. Hehe was great fun Tyl, would do it again anytime

Just capped it off by killing botty and TG's blasters in Warburg, with my gimped scrapper, TP Foe + Headsplitter ftw
  2. NTrailZ

    Kin/Dark?

I'd get Nightfall in there, works well with TT and Torrent. Definately worth picking over Repel for PvE.
  3. Whirlwind still has it's uses though right? it's not the only reason I put it in the build.
  4. *Edit*

Updated original build with a reworked version for better functionality at lower levels, and with a better planner for easier reading

So apart from power order, anything else to comment on/suggest?
  5. Yeah I do need stamina it got bumped to the end in the last rebuild along with travels powers. I need stamina to keep everything but fly on all the time and fight continously. I'm not really interested in Siren's with this Scrapper because he cannot have headsplitter :/ so functionality below Warburg level isn't really much of an issue.
  6. Got plenty of alts for that Max hehe

In my last rebuild/reshuffle before posting I moved superspeed from 14 just to get the slotting right towards the end of the build. Might correct it, don't think it's that important as I mentioned he would probably only ever come out to PvP
  7. Because i'm in a good mood after reading the freespec announcement, I decided to complete my build for my lvl50 BS/Regen, NTrailZ, and post it for you all. This toon is currently gimped with a really bad build, almost unplayable, that's why im so happy about the announcement and why i'm posting this here. I need to get this right! So any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

He's mainly intended as a lvl50 PvP toon.

*Edit* Replaced original build with v2, re-ordering Stamina and first travel power.

*Edit* Replaced original build with v3, realised there was little gain from the 3rd damage resistance slot in Resilience. So I moved it to another Recharge in Laser Beam Eyes, so that I can auto it *Edit*
  8. NTrailZ

    BS/Regen

Would of thought Resilience would be a good PvP and PvE power if you really don't know what else to pick, recovering from mezzes quicker is a nice little feature of it, and if you slot with Resistance SO's and stack with slotted Tough you can get about the 30%s/l Res mark

I've always been a fan of the power, it aint great tho, others will say something else prolly
  9. NTrailZ

    Sleeping holds

As far as I remember it's something like a 5%-10% chance to crit a held mob with a stalker yes, don't think the percentage is much higher than that even though I am estimating.

    -------------------------------------------

Here's an old build I did, it was intended as a mostly PvE build(but with some PvP function). The build goes with the thoery that Fast Healing isn't the best power for a Stalker and favours dropping it to fit in Instant Healing. Sloting and power order wasn't finalised, and for fitting TP into the build I would swap Fly for Hover, drop Hasten and SuperSpeed and distribute the slots you gain from Hasten between TP and TP foe.
  11. NTrailZ

    Nerfed Repel?

One thing I have noticed with Repel, if you stand next to a mob constantly, you will constantly pay the hitting endurance price, therefor draining your endurance in seconds. Best way to use the power is just nip in to knock them down, then move back, as they start to rise again, repeat. It's quite easy with a Siphon going aswell. There's no way i'd be able to solo the likes of Purple Abbo Rectors on my Ice/Kin Corruptor without it
  12. haha lol my flame aura was orange I too have since lost it in respec until I can fit it in again.

    NTRA1LZ
  13. Got me a lvl34 Fire/Dark, really like him, played a Dark/Fire till lvl24 but wasn't liking that much. Made the swap and started playing the Fire/Dark and never looked back

I started with a single target build, worked extremely well, little end heavy yes but you can do some amazing damage, and it served me well up untill my recent respec. Went for an AoE build after respec of course think im gonna try the OG route instead of fear and see how that works out.

Gotta be said that CoD and a decent flame type aura in the middle combined with a fire sword and all the dark armours has to be one of the coolest looking things toonwise in CoX imo.

In a Star Wars Battleground kind of way?

Boy, I love whipping out a rocket launcher troop just to launch Darth Vader over the edge on the Bespin level...

but that was when I was on consoles.

[/ QUOTE ]Battleground is available for PC as well... (Unless I'm totally confusing it with something else)

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's correct Max, there's Starwars battlegrounds 2 on PC aswell, I know coz it's sitting over there on the shelf
  15. Black Mamba down as an unknown Blaster is/was an AR/Energy.
  16. Yeah PvP I would go with an EM/Dark or Fire. Dark has its pluses for having more rounded resistance (psi), but suffers having to use a lot of toggles and needs tohit 2 people to heal your health bar full with no heal slots in Dark Regen. Fire doesn't have as good all round resistance (lacks psi) but only requires you to run 2 armour toggles, has a click heal and an endurance power. Both suffer from no KB protection.

No choice with EM for PvP its best hands down, for PvE I would currently go for Fire, as my favourite brute is Fire/Dark, currently at lvl32

My point stands, the word woot has been around much, much longer than any apparant translation of it

    [/ QUOTE ]

much much longer? '92 from the film reference? lol
    D&D has been around since the late 70's, so this;

"In the role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons, w00t has been variously interpreted as combinations of the phrases "weapons and loot," "wonderous loot," or "Wow, loot!", that were supposedly contracted to "w00t"."

Would pre-date it by atleast 15 years...

This is wrong I'm afraid, Woot/w00t is an acronym for, we owned other team

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm afraid it isn't. That translation was just made up to give the term 'woot' some substance when a microsoft guy had to translate it into english for this microsoft web page.

Woot IS just a general exclamation of goodness, and has been around for far longer than team-based multiplayer gaming.

hehe wikipedia says both sides are right, aswell as providing others, like, want one of those

woot/w00t: A l33tsp34k phrase meaning anything from hurrah, woo, yay and hooplah, to gratz, good job, anything like that. Basically a noise of approval and celebration. A lot more socially acceptable than the rest of l33t.

  20. Had a certain stalker do the lame proper killsteal type on me twice tonight in sirens. Waited till i'd 2/3rds killed my foe in a fair fight away from main action, he flys in, AS, kills my opponent, then flys off. Twice within 5mins, if he'd of done it a third time he was getting petitioned, and I swear he was doing it to others aswell.
  21. NTrailZ

    Dark/Psi

My offender BrainZ is a Rad/Psi and i've gotta say despite what people say I rather like Psi attacks. Brilliant range, longer than blasters without boost range or range enhancements including furthest snipe, solo's nice and safely with hover (if a little slowly). Nice smattering of different secondary effects, Will Dom and TK blast totally rock, pre-ED I could nearly chain just those 2 really rapid firing attacks with perma AM and perma hasten.

Not a set to be over looked, and I think a Dark/psi would also be very good, and simliarly scarey in PvP if played/built right
  22. Ok, here's a base build, I haven't played MA very high, so I include very basic post-ED 5 slotting, including most of the primary in hopes that this would have the material to form a nice chain My main input is Dark Armour anyway hehe.

I've picked powers upto lvl38 but slots somewhere into the mid 40's just to show how I would basic slot everything. I've included a Deathshoud+Cloak of Fear combo in this build, but again this is only as example and hasten was added at the end just as a filler.

Hope this gives ya some ideas

  23. Just got CoD on my fire/dark brute. Its endurance cost is quite high yes, 0.39 according to my version of heroplanner, so unenhanced its the same as running another armour toggle. Im not sure how much extra Immob protection it will provide but i'm sure it couldnt hurt. PvP is where the +perception element of CoD really shines, and if you intend to PvP it is a good power choice if you can fit it in.(take over powerpool stealth any day of the week

*Edit* My version of hero planner also states that CoD's defense is 3.25 in melee and ranged and 0 in aoe, unenhanced. Really dont think its worth adding slots for defense.
  24. Would like to add that I missed out one type of Enhancement on Dark Regen, and thats Endurance Reduction, very important
My suggested slotting for Dark Regen is 2 accuracy, 2 end reduction and 2 recharge reduction. Maybe going with putting one of those upto 3 and reducing another to 1 to compensate, depends on what your tastes are like and how you are coping with endurance with other things, as dark regen gobbles up a fair bit of your end bar to use, but its something you want to use often because it will increase your suvivability in bad situations considerably.
