Hello, I'm Seethe a lvl 40 Fire/DA Brute.

A more End-heavy comination is there not ...
I'm guessing we have vastly different builds cause mine's lighter than my DM/SR scrappers is.
Only run three main shields, CoD and Acrobatics.
Have dark regen for when things get sticky, and I also run tough when facing mostly S&L damage.
Am glad to see that I'm not alone on the forums at least with my Fire/DA

Ah, you've avoided the End-hungry Death Shroud and Tough. I'm built for wannabe-Tanking, so have those for Taunting goodness and extra survivability.
So thats a total of 7 toggles running atm:
Dark Embrace
Murky Cloud
Obsidian Shield
Tough
Combat Jumping
Acrobatics
Death Shroud
Admittedly, I'm not too badly off with two End Red SO's in each toggle and one in each attack, but I have sacrficed Damage for End, and I'd quite like an End recovery power from the Epics/Patrons so I can get Cloak of Fear or Oppressive Gloom into the build somewhere.

Thats one combination out of many, but yes, the best I can hope for is something like Energy Mastery and hence Conserve Power.
But still ...

Do have tough, just dont always run it, only when fighting in big teams, where there's usually some end help anyway.
Wish I had the end for CoF, but I dont, thats what I want in the epics, a click AoE fear

Got me a lvl34 Fire/Dark, really like him, played a Dark/Fire till lvl24 but wasn't liking that much. Made the swap and started playing the Fire/Dark and never looked back 
I started with a single target build, worked extremely well, little end heavy yes but you can do some amazing damage, and it served me well up untill my recent respec. Went for an AoE build after respec of course think im gonna try the OG route instead of fear and see how that works out.
Gotta be said that CoD and a decent flame type aura in the middle combined with a fire sword and all the dark armours has to be one of the coolest looking things toonwise in CoX imo.

It should be noted that I've since respecced out of CoD since then, and that I am just being a jerk.
haha lol my flame aura was orange I too have since lost it in respec until I can fit it in again.

Made this my main in beta and again for real
Got to about level 29 after the first week and then stopped playing him (sitting at 32 or 33 atm).
Have CoF, Death Shroud, the three shields, Dark Regen and will pickup OG at 35
Seems to be ok but still crumples in a heap vs Longbow.
Questions in the title.
Have seen 1 in game other than me. I can pretty much understand why, cause really most things are stronger, but I dont think any brute is particularly weak
