I'd be cool with just having a huge parade, with everyone forming TFs/mothership raid afterwards. Maybe some prizes. Maybe hold the "Tanky awards" as a black tie event. I wonder if you can make a huge auditorium with a stage and seats, and a red carpet leading to it with the base system.
Maybe we can get the Devs to stop crashing our event since its been around longer than most of them and all... -

Survivability-wise, it's always been a very solid set. It also has a lot of perks.
In general, I don't like defensive sets with lots of utility and perks having a lot of survivability, more survivability than sets that don't have a lot of perks. WP is bad enough for that already.
High resistance values, a damage aura, -end debuffs, protection to end drains and slows, increased recharge and movement speed, a self-end recovery power...
And now the addition of a self heal and regeneration increase; what amounts to a mini panic click in addition to their tier 9. Even if it's locked at a two minute recharge, that's still a bit much.
No sir, I don't like this at all.

Honestly, I really hope that the whole one server idea doesn't lead to instance-land. Two hour ques for WAR are one of the three things that turned me off to the game (A total crap endgame and really stupid Devs that make Emmert look like Mr. Personality being the other two.). -

Will only Beta Testers be able to access the Character Creator at all? Will non-beta accounts be able to get into the queue and eventually get to the Character Creator?
If non-beta will not be able to get to it at all, I strongly suggest changing that, unless, as I said before, there are some other secret, market-breaking features or that you are testing other features like the functionality of that new log-in system. With the other games in development, that would be a marketing boondoggle; you could get so much interest and "free" coverage and possibly displace the competition in the media.
(The saddest part of posting this is that I believe that there is a slim chance that the people at Paragon Studios might not have seriously considered the marketing value of allowing free access to the Character Creator.)
Yes, the marketing team for this company sucks, no doubt about it. Only the Dev's outstanding work keeps them in business, so I would say the marketing team should go ahead and brown up their noses, hoping the Devs never move on. -

Normally, with today neing Tanker Tuesday, we would alll be getting ready for in instead of being in here. Since the QA team seems to be made up of the kind of retards that can't determine if a patch is ready to go live, we're all in here waiting for the game to come back up and try to salvage our event that they seem hell bent on hindering...
Try Shield Defense and see if you like its damage potential. -
Well, if you gave this "friend" the ability to use your accounts and he stole them after you gave him a computer to use them on, I see one recourse that doesn't involve needing help hiding a body. Bring a supersoaker or a firehose and douse the computer you let him "borrow".

Interesting. Last Friday, I noticed that MA Statesman alternates that punching Footstomp in his attack chain with the old one. I can't wait to try out all of those SS attacks on my SS characters.

I've heard a couple of other people come up with this rationale and it is at best, self defeating. Let me explain why ...
CoH is a commercial enterprise in a (now) very competitive market. There are dozens of MMOs for players to choose from and soon to be multiple comic book themed MMOs as well. Just like in any other competitive market you must cater to your customers and potential customers (the customer is always right ... even when they're not) in an effort to provide a product/service that people want to use over your competitor's version.
So whether people should or shouldn't be intuitively rationing their blue bar is immaterial ... a good portion aren't and they are being frustrated (we've all seen these posts and in-game comments). Eventually that frustration turns into cancelled game accounts or free trials that are never realized as subscriptions.
In other words, frustrating the customer is costing CoH money. To what extent? I wouldn't know. But it doesn't take a marketing genius to see the same complaint come up time and again and imagine that its not ingratiating itself among those who complain .... those being your paying customers.
Heraclea: SO level enhancements would allow endRedux to actually mean something prior to L22. Slotting endRedux with TOs or SOs currently doesn't do anything appreciable, practically speaking.
While inherent Stamina would make the game more playable (especially at early levels) I sincerely doubt that would get done simply because of the amount of mechanics that would need to be changed (unless you're saying to keep the Fitness pool AND have inherent Stamina .... which is interesting but I think too radical for Posi to pull the trigger on that idea).

On a somewhat unrelated note, I just want to take a second to thank you guys for being so positive and excited about this feature that's consumed so much of my life for so long. It's been a very long haul and tremendous amount of work from many people on the team. Your excitement about this feature is making it so much easier for me to continue to be excited about it, and that's making it a lot nicer to get through the final stretches of finishing this issue up and into your hands. I can't speak for the other people who've done a tremendous amount of work on this feature as well, but for me personally...it's a huge deal.
The handful of non-glowing responses I've seen have been very reasonable and more in the realm of disappointed but still understanding. For that I'm exceedingly grateful.
So thanks for staying positive and constructive, it makes reading the forums so much easier and working on this game so much more rewarding.

Semi-related: Castle, can you at least confirm or deny that the list shown on the site (Rad Blast for Blasters, etc) is comprehensive? Is it just a 'these are some of' list, or is that all the ones being ported? Just to direct the speculation from here, so we don't get several months of "But there could be more!" if there isn't going to be.

You guys can probably blame me for these sets. I specifically asked them to proliferate sets that wouldn't require new animations or VFX, as we're already swamped with supporting power customization. We had to make one new animation for Broadsword Stalkers, but other than that they were able to directly port everything over or at least pull powers and visuals from existing powersets.
